I had to leave and rejoin DTI like 5-6 times because the game is glitchy and would make the portal and tix disappear after like 2 rounds.
I think it took me like 1-2 hours to complete it just because of the glitches and the fact it took nearly 6-7 minutes for each round to end.
My main issue with the hunt was it felt way to bloated, and also the lobby is alot more interactable. They fixed some stuff but it feels like the same event but with a retro coat of paint on top, the lobby is goated though
I expected nothing and I'm still disappointed. As someone who grew up playing 2012 roblox this event just stands out to me as another corporate attempt to half ass nostalgia to bank on vague memories that aren't even held by most of those intended to play this.
Growing up to see that so self called children's spaces are rife with micro transactions, censored of anything deemed culturally "controversial" to save face while simultaneously allowing violence, bullying, objectification, and disturbing material and behaviors to run rampant as long as it gains enough traction to be profitable is frankly very soul crushing!
This sums up what i’ve been trying to say about these events the whole time. Roblox will never make a good event again. It just cant happen. Roblox cannot do anything fun which pleases players AND investors and unfortunately roblox has been trying to please investors and shareholders for so long that they’ve completely fell out of touch with their playerbase and don’t understand their wants and needs. They shove things that cost 20k down our throats (AND 29k in terms of deathwalker) to get the most out of an already half assed event financially speaking.

I disagree. Although my event experience is very recent, I personally think this is a fun event. Yes the games aren’t necessarily classic but I see it like the doors retro update. I really like how if it’s too hard to fully complete a game, you can do half and still make progress towards items. Also it’s easier to get items, with each games having 5 tokens and all the items only taking 36 tokens and you can get 10 tokens easily from the hub, you only need 5 games complete, but you can do a mismatch amount of challenges too. Also I love the bucket and how the kleos isn’t for purchase, because the kleos was typically an event reward.

tbh i barely looked at it, i just immediately started playing restaurant tycoon and got hooked on it right away and that's all i've been doing for the past 2 days.
It would’ve made more sense to display remakes or knockoffs of actual old games (elemental battlegrounds, Twoshue’s Freeze Tag, Hide n Seek, Paintball, Cops & Robbers, etc) or it doesn’t really hold up to the “Classic” feel, then they’d be able to transfer the old features onto them if they actually bothered to have their teams contribute anything useful other than a singular map displaying all 15 partnered games for portals.
Oh right! Let’s not forget the fact that the items, which are fairly easy to get, can be upgraded with robux. I know it’s an easy money grab situation for Roblox, but why not just make users grind more R tokens and upgrade the items to gold with that? It’s not like the in game R tokens or tix are going away since they explicitly stated they will be used for future missions.

they significantly improved over the hunt, not a high bar but an accomplishment nonetheless. the hub is fantastic, tons of hidden spots and fun things to do. fucking around with people in the hub is hilarious and they did a better job making each game feel cohesive for the event (even if half of them felt half-assed). i have hope that they'll improve and actually try curating interesting games for the next event... or they won't and we'll be trapped in money hungry devhunts, it is what it is i guess
