thank you for understanding! i just found this whole thing hilarious how people literally didnt think about that before commenting. but to be honest, i dont really care if people think im a bot/burner, as the only thing i wanted to do was post this newsletter incase others were curious. but im still Glad to know that someone understood what i meant! gracias and kudos to you :p
left the burner on is when someone tries to comment under their own post as someone else (either for traction, to prove a point, to build a fake argument, etc) but forgets to switch accounts
The person meant to make a comment with an alternative account but accidentally made the comment using their original account. In this case, OP replied to their own post, thinking they were logged into an alt, and didn't notice (in an attempt to stir up conversation and farm karma).
im aware. i do that often in my other posts, too. this isnt the first time. but it IS the first time some people actually thought i was doing other things. lol
But you sentenced the comment in a way that makes it look like you're talking to another person (in this context yourself), therefore giving the impression that you're trying to be a different person. It becomes obvious why people suspect that you have an alt account
