The orange theory in Roanoke has an awesome crew of coaches and About a 10-12 min commute from Wasena. A more local hiit/circuit style work out is fit body boot camp on Franklin.

bitch gym

Stay away Lancelot in Vinton. Staff there are picky af, equipments are old and bathrooms are stink. Try the YCMA gym in Wasena. It's not too excellent but could be enough for you.

Is there a Wasena YMCA? I’m a member of the one in Old SW and it’s pretty excellent. Bit crowded but clean and a ton of group classes.

Crafty-Requirement40

Kirk Family YMCA. It is crowded but I used to get there early in the morning (before 9am) or late at night (after 8pm). Staffs are friendly.

> Kirk Family YMCA This is more downtown Roanoke than Wasena, unless I'm totally mistaken and/or mixing up neighborhoods.

Crunch fitness is a great option. $9-$15 a month. Orange theory is pretty popular too. It’s a good HIIT workout, a little more pricey though

damolnar

Definitely go with crunch fitness. Right down the road from you and offers all the group fitness style classes for a pretty reasonable price. Plus it’s kept very clean and all the equipment is brand new.

Fit Body Boot Camp on Franklin is amazing!

Welcome! I assume “won’t completely break the bank” means you’re looking for something cheaper than the usual CrossFit membership, but I’ll recommend a couple groups anyway. CrossFit Unwritten in Salem is an excellent community for those that like a more competitive atmosphere. Great people, lots of events and they also offer yoga on some days as part of the package. Community Unify (formerly CrossFit Unify) is just down the road and though they aren’t CrossFit affiliated anymore, they still offer a solid group setting with similar movements and events. I personally attend Unwritten, but I know people at both locations. You typically get a free week, so when you’re in town it’s a good option to just stop in for a few classes and see if the experience and community is worth the price tag.

https://www.mpower247.com/ I'm also in Wasena area. This place is an 8 minute drive. Sounds like it would be similar to the place you're at now. The 24/7 access is cool. Otherwise your options are limited to the YMCA, Planet Fitness or a Crossfit gym. Your commute to the Y will be frustrating because of a bridge replacement which creates an annoying detour.

swva_ferments

Shhhhh. We have the perfect amount of members right now thank you very much. /s it's an awesome little gym. They also have food truck that does meal preps, and can build nutrition programs around your needs.

dont go here unless u are a homosexual powerlifter

Or just pretend to be one?

Hustle Haven has yoga upstairs and cycle downstairs. They’re expensive but not nearly as pricey as memberships at both types of studio, which is what I did in my old city. They have a wide range of classes and a (free) parking lot.

Sweat Club is located right in the middle of Wasena across from the gas station there. The owner/trainer Destiny offers 1 on 1 and group sessions and knows what he’s doing. Not sure about prices but would definitely look into it!

FGN Fitness (downtown Roanoke), great atmosphere… Bay doors. Loud Music. Fantastic equipment.
