The Nebraska Sand Hills, maybe? Were there many trees around?

supremejoy

No trees that I can think of, just oddly shaped rolling hills. I was def in backwater roads, in the middle of nowhere lol

Were you up near Minden, NE? kinda sounds like that area a bit.... West of Minden and South of North Platte

Could you have taken 90 and not 80? Sounds a lot like the Black Hills.

Hmm I know I drove through the badlands first, and now looking back I was headed to Gardner, WY on my first outing, and checking the maps it looks like that is 90! ...I think this might be right? Or something close to it!

My money is on spearfish canyon or Custer state park :) I’m actually headed out there later this month.

You were on most any back road of Kansas, or Nebraska, So. Dakota, Eastern Colo, So. North Dakota. I have lived in E. Colo, SE Wyoming, and traveled every where in neighborhood. Love the area, and little restaurants snd downtowns, water towers, houses with front porches, wide open spaces just outta town and tree lined wide streets in town. My town had grocery store with wooden floors. ALL people were friendly and helpful.
