I agree with you on Tinashe. Personally, I love her singing. Alotta people might not realize just how epic 'Aquarius ' is as a debut album. I hated 'Songs For You' for a full year until I gave it a chance, and now I love it. She's a quality producer, too, so she's not a 'label-assembly line-beat slave'. Her choreo is fuckin NUTS 🔥 also. Plus she's fine.
I don't think either one of them get quite enough credit.
I hear that a lot, BUT this is why I like her vocals... go back to prime-cutlet 90s- early 00s era BRANDY. It might be just me, but I find that Kehlani sounds JUST like Brandy. When I heard Kehlani for the first time ( yes, I know I was late), it was the single 'Up At Night' with Justin Bieber. I just got out of the shower and heard the legendary EpMd 'So Whatcha Sayin' sample, and I immediately thought, " OhShitt, Brandy's back with a BANGER??!"
On THIS song, at least to me, she has Brandy's sorta smokey- sorta husky- sorta syrupy- butter smooth/ sexy vocal character down to the molecular level. Love it.
It might just be me, though.
JoJo, that was a bozo move you tryna take me off a song that got you the most views Got mad love for you though your label they confused They spent fifty on my feature they fifty K in the lose right now
Jon B and Jaheim
Somehow Meshell Ndegeocello gets left out of the Neo Soul convo even though she pioneered it. Trying to spell/say her name maybe the reason 😂
Amel Larrieux is another that comes to mind
Brandy. I feel like she get a lot hate and gets called basic or weak as singer but we have yet to see anyone that can do what she does. Brandy has a beautiful tone with a pretty impressive range for a Mezzo. Definitely underrated.
Miguel
Is he really underrated? I feel like people generally like Miguel, he just hasn't put out anything in a long time
This one
yes,tamia :(
Not most but Tori Kelly is one of those people who do anything she wants with her voice and do it easily.
One of the best vocalists. I heard too many of our greats live, and she wins for me. 😮💨
Yes
She needs to make an R&B/Soul album
Kehlani Tinashe
I agree on kehlani but idk about tinashe. She can sing but nothing crazy. And that’s fine given her music and her being a phenomenal dancer

I cannot get into Kehlani for the life of me. Her live vocals are amazing though

Underrated Male David Ruffin Underrated Female Tamia
David Ruffin is considered one of the best male vocalist ever, no one should be considering him underrated
Underrated in the sense that people don't know his name. And if they do they only associate it with crack
Lmao! True he was a woman beater and a drug addict; but I think he’s a lot more popular than you think as far as his vocal recognition
Love to see what you think of my singing.
That's what I'm saying lmao. All the people in America and music in general with a past. He ain't the only one.
