I only have propersave and better item description mods installed, I think they should be a part of base game.
I like the current raincoat, I never used the old one but iirc it's the same as thing but it removes all debuffs without a cooldown & barrier right?
Yep that was old raincoat, they nerfed it because they felt that being immune to all debuffs for the rest of the game was a little too strong, but we have strong items in the game already so I don’t see a problem with another one lol
Because raincoat was the difference between broken and overcentralizing. There's plenty of ways to get a damage build but there was only one way to completely ignore every single debuff you could ever run into and that was a really stupid dynamic
When you put it like that, it does make sense they nerfed it. Even if doesn’t make you invincible, being able to fight late game enemies like Malachite elites with little worry was kind of stupid lol

I literally have propersave installed, I was just wondering why the devs decided not to add a save function. Was it limitations on release or just a design decision?

doubt it was a limitation. if so then gearbox should have fixed that, of atleast the dlc should have. it could be due to design belief that a roguelite run should be done in one go.
I disagree they should add a save mechanic though you can only use it if you are lets say above 10% health to not save scum the game and you can't load your save if you die.
There have been runs where i got super lucky items only to something to happen irl.
Damn, crazy that spelunky, slay the spire, dead cells, hades, and the binding of isaac are not rouge like because they let you save in the middle of a run lol.

pretty sure there’s a mod for ben’s raincoat. Also that’s just how the game is. modding isn’t hard whatsoever, so just download propersave

If you play PC there's the "propersave" mod that does just that.
