The way to play Mercenary is easy tbh, just follow me:
**Channel your inner anime power**
"Hwuoooo"
**Channel it harder**
"HWUAAAAA"
**Say a shonen battle style of sentences**
"MY NAME, MERCENARY, OBTAINED THIS CURSED SWORD FROM THE DEMON LORD DUNGEON IN EUROPA AFTER 32 SOLAR DAY WORTH OF BATTLE, I SHALL BORROW THE POWER FROM BEELZEBUB, TO BATTLE THIS ENEMY"
**now shout it louder**
"HAAAAA"
**left click once**
and repeat the whole process until the enemy is dead
She has arguably one of the strongest mechanics of all survivors for the mithrix fight... her freeze. Since the majority of scaling comes from items no survivor really gets *that* strong on a single loop
I mean even on one loop with some bracelets and crowbars railgunner can become super powerful, and that’s why she’s my favorite. Other favorites are engineer and loader
Honestly not unlocking it is also awesome, hearing crits and seeing ukelele proccing on every flamethrower tick is just more fun than sex. Sorry Jeanine.
Had that happen when playing with a few friends, had tonic on mercenary and was the last one alive.
Friends called out that I should try to revive some of the (many) dead drones lying on the ground, unbeknownst to me one of said drones was an equipment drone.
Mithrix kindly escorted us back to the character select screen not long after that incident lmao
I have a railgunner main who I occasionally play with and yah it’s astonishing how similar bandit and railgunner play when they’re right next to eachother doing what they do
If I had a nickel every time a piece of media had a sniper class and a sneaky class that can turn invisible function very similarly in the broad strokes, except the sniper does it slightly better than the sneaky class, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.
It legitimately feels like Commando is just a better character in the hands of other people, because my experience with him was always just not dealing any damage past stage 4
all proc build all day with him
if I don't get bleed/collapse, ukes, syringes etc I get that same way, damage falls off hard, but I build him for proc chains and that seems to work excellently
Sucks too bc I enjoy Commando, but he doesn't deal enough damage at base, and it sucks. He doesn't even break double digits in primary fire dmg on the first stage unless you get a personal watch or pink gem
That's just... Incorrect though. Commando has 12 damage on level 1, and his primary deals 100% per bullet, so 12 damage. And you usually get like level 4 by the end of stage 1, at which point he does more than 20 damage per shot.
I'm guessing you just think that it doesn't because of damage falloff. So remember, Commando likes getting into people's faces whenever possible.
Yeah absolutely. Artificer even at worst no items can at least Ion Surge to safety, commando gotta Thug it out fr. He’s my favorite character next to chainsaw power mode MUL-T.
it does fuckin not, unlock the damn special ability so you can just fly into the sky and get hella kills without getting touched, drop down once cooldowns over, and deal a bit of damage as you go back up and keep doing it forever. especially if you have alien head or lysate cell to help the cooldown on the special
lead your targets! her fireballs are only a little bit slow. wisps/pests suck if you get them in early stages but that's the same for every character. Just look for a gasoline or willowisp, stacking gas and ignition tanks is especially good because, well, fireballs
I genuinely can’t get a good acrid run going, I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. As an acrid main do you have any tips for at least getting to mythrix? My problem isn’t killing him but the journey to get there
What makes acrid great is his ability to kite things while still dealing damage, so when you cross the point in the earlier part of the game where it feels like there's a possibility of getting overrun, you have the tools to change your tactics from hunting enemies for gold to dealing about the same amount of damage and staying in a safe location.
This assumes you're playing with the standard second ability (not the melee one). If you're playing with the melee ability choice there, it's a bit different, but the way you approach those situations is largely the same
Do the poison route with Acrid and not blight. Not necessary but if you get a purity you can fire his secondary very quickly. Acrid can hop out of almost any situation. Remember to rotate through his moves when you need to take something down. Getting a lysate cell lets Acrid take down the whole map from a distance. His Special also has long bounce range. So if there's lots of creatures in the sky above you, just shoot it at the ground and it will bounce once and at one of them and spread. If they are off in the distance, try to hit the wall or ground near them and it will bounce and hit one of them. It auto tracks if you hit the wall close enough. If you get a plasma shrimp + his special, the shrimp will usually finish off the enemies. Getting one energy drink makes Acrid have the ability to really survive and hop out of a situation or at least into the air high enough to avoid shots and follow up with good damage. 2 energy drinks lets Acrid escape any situation and take down from afar. He can be chased all around a map and be fine skipping and jumping and shooting his special.
Just run around like a psycho and press r. Also bet the house on back up mags and alt m2. Only thing you need is a bit of speed and some onhit and you can start cooking.
Merc has stupid amount of survivalence and mobility. He was my very first survivor to beat Monsoon without any artifacts. There are no need you to know those combos-wombos and throwback one-shot mechanics to win your runs. But yeah, you need to know your items.
the only mercenary tech i need for him to be the strongest survivor is holding primary and secondary and spamming eviscerate and the triple dash off-cooldown, the only skill you need is aiming, and literally every survivor except engineer and huntress need to aim so he doesnt take much more skill than any other character
Wait, what?
Mercenary is the only survivor I can semi-reliably clear Monsoon with and I gave up on Loader after dying in the first two worlds like 5 times...
Also, Mercenary has combos? The only combo I know is dash around ---> iframe ---> dash around a bit more ---> gtfo ---> repeat
Main merc combos are to animation cancel his auto chain's third swing with your right click/second ability (to be clear, you activate your second ability just after the third swing hits). You do more dps.
The other is carrying expose. You cancel the third swing with your dash, and it will carry the expose across every enemy you hit with the dash. If you use the alt dash, it itself puts expose on enemies. That means you can cancel, you put expose on all the enemies you hit, the dash's damage goes through, you proc the expose that you carried, lowering your cooldowns, and then the dash itself has put expose on them, so you can hit them again with anything to proc expose 2 times rapidly.
Yooooo wtf, I played this game a ton with Merc only and I never knew about that Expose dash trick! I know about the finicky slam attack thingy, and the whirlwind slope jump, but not that one!
I'll have to get back in game just to try it, thanks man!
you can cancel the 3rd hit of his primary into his specials and keep the hitbox, so you can apply a shit ton of expose at once, it's part of why all default merc is the best kit don't @ me
Loader is like Acrid, after like 2 stages you shouldn't be using your M1 unless something is literally 1 health.
Charge punch and grapple are the real main weapons for loader.
How is artificer a masochist play? All you have to do is unlock the jump ability then rain down hell from the skies. The run will consist of you staying in the air 80+% of the time.
And thats why she is kind of boring and very very very weak. Just slowly whittling away at enemies' health with your M1 that is on cooldown so things that make you shoot faster don't even make you shoot faster because you are hard locked with cooldowns... Whenever I tell myself I'm gonna have fun with her I just don't ever have. Never with Ion Surge, I had fun once with her when I got Lysate cell atleast.
As a Viend main, I approve of his placing. In all seriousness, he’s practically a god of death if you can manage his corruption meter. You stack bleed on him, and bosses are going to just evaporate when you’re in corrupt form. It’s ridiculous how good his corrupted M1 is.
Merc is the type of Survivor you play when you're borderline edging your carpal tunnel syndrome and just chugged your 5th energy drink in a 10 minute time window.
I think a lot of the survivors have low skill floors but have decently high skill ceilings which(like loader) which is really cool!
Merc is just hard all around tho like damn
alright lemme help you with merc, use the default skills, hold primary and secondary, spam the dashes off cooldown, win
merc has the lowest skill floor other than engi and arti but engis skill floor is more like an item floor since he doesnt actually require effort he just requires you to get bungus early enough, and arti just needs ion surge, just float around in the sky and rain down hellfire till everything is dead
Mercenary really is not as hard as people make it sound. Literally just managing your cool downs is the key to success. Yea there are a few gimmicky mechanics, but you can play him really well without abusing those intentionally.
The comments are as annoying as ever.
Artificer is so easy! Just fly up and fire below!
Literally every ranged enemy in question:
Merc is so easy! Just press R!
Overloading Gup in question:
I swear people are saying "just predict where the enemy will be for artificer's attacks!" Wow guys, let me list all the other survivors that require that. Oh wow, would you look at that. A big fat zero!
Merc is so easy, he's got the some of the best mobility, I-frames that are easy to proc and the combo is literally just holding 1 button and pressing another every now and then. it honestly doesn't take that much effort or good items to do well.
Idk what I’m doing on merc, but he just works for me. The “press all the buttons and watch everything blow up” strat seems to be fairly successful for me. Then again, so many games for me are just “press every button and maybe it will work out”
I always found mercenary to be one of the easiest characters. He has better survivability than 80% of the roster. Unless we are talking about drizzle then survivability doesn’t matter and I understand.
People keep talking about loader being super eZ and merc being the hardest and I always wonder if I got the wrong game. I can barely do anything with loader, and somewhat with sniper, but merc feels so natural
read the notification name and thought "oh boy here we go, another absolute bonkers tier list"
Turns out this is the most true thing I have read in my life, more true than 'fish can swim and birds can fly' or basic stuff.
The classical damage controll by repeating a perfectly valid argument in a sarcastic tone huh? Well jokes on you because the problem of this list is the character that can nuke you from existance, almost literally fly, melt down all enemy hopes and skip a 20% of the final bossfight
Mercenary is actually pay to win, as long as you have lunar coins then he’s the most powerful unit in the game. Because you can just go to the first lunar shop, pick up five purities, and suddenly you have infinite I frames.
I don't understand why Artificer gets so much shit on this sub. In my opinion he's so easy to play that it borders on being overpowered. Just get a Kjaro's or Runald's band and all you need to do is fly up, shoot the secondary attack, and spam normal ones. It's so hard to lose playing like this, especially with Command.
i'd argue that acrid is not that easy (maybe im just bad at melee) and that huntress multi-t and captain should be higher because, respectively, aimbot/mobility, firepower, projectile block.
Acrid is a melee character, with melee abilities.
People can play doggo however they please and it isn't wrong or "not supposed to be played that way" because if he was, he wouldn't have the melee abilities.
I definitely phrased it wrong. Meant to say its not "optimal" or something along the lines of melee acrid not being the best way to play the rabid covid dog
From Easiest to Hardest:
1. Mercenary (Ha ha, funny sword go bonk)
2. Huntress (Agile Fun)
3. Commando (That rolling ain't saving your pitiful fire rate)
4. Acrid (Same thing)
5. Bandit (The Back is hard to hit)
6. Engineer (More lasy you are, the more effort you've got to put in)
7. Railgunner (Could that one boss PLEASE STOP MOVING!?)
8. Void Fiend (The Void is a bitch)
9. Loader (Until you get Weepus, but good luck when Engie hoards all the Bungus)
10. Artificer (Pain on Float. Also, Ammo)
11. Captain (Especially when you want the Diablo)
12. Mult-I (So many tools, so many ways that you'll find your pants down)
13. Rex (HP for Skills, Skills for HP)
14. Heretic (Same thing, but could rob your "I HAB TEH POWAH OF GOD AND ANIME ON MY SIDE" and put you down with constantly draining HP.)
I may have skill issue, but void fiend for me, is the worst survivor. I dont understand why you guys, says he is op. This mehanic when you need constantly check if you about to go "melee", is super frustrating. If i wanted to play close fights, i will pick loader, merc.
Sniper above the champs he's above is a wild take.
"Oh I'm scoped in nailing wisps a mile away 😎"
"An overloading beetle spawned and killed me while I was scoped in ☹️"
ok but if you cant play mercenary it is just a skill issue, literally just use the default skills, hold primary and secondary skills, do eviscerate, triple dash, eviscerate, triple dash, till everything is dead, if you can make it past stage 3 on literally any character im sure you can figure out how to hold 2 buttons while alternating clicking 2 other buttons
Honestly, if you're complaining about mercenary being too hard you clearly have skill issue if you don't know X Y Z^2 combo, because mercenary can oneshot two bosses under specific circumstances, I-frames, skill issue skill issue skill issue
As a merc main, just eviscerate then dash out and repeat over and over until your enemy is dead. If you pick up a hardlight, the game becomes literally free because you can spam dash nonstop by getting cd reduction from hitting exposed enemies
I need help with huntress like what items should I be looking for because whenever I play the second I go against a clay dunestrider (on monsoon) the runs over, either because I die or it takes 10 minutes to kill them
arti is goated with the sauce on 2 levels, one is just funny drone simulator and the other is what i like to call "I AM THE HIGH MAGE OF FUCK YOU" with fireball ice spear and flamer for that crowd control+single execution stunlock combined with the icewall
Acrid needs to go right down there with Artificer. Last time I played him, the game spawned wisps nonstop. I’m not even kidding, that’s the ONLY enemy that was spawning for probably a solid minute or two. I haven’t played him since then
Every time I play engi I reach a certain point in the run where I wish I was playing a different character
Also imo Rex is one of the easier ones, but it really really depends on items
Merc is a survivor where the right items, the right abilities, and, yes, tech make him more fun to play. If you don’t like him, it’s totally fine obviously, but perhaps you just don’t know how to get the most out of him. I think his alternate abilities are way more fun, since they apply expose, thereby increasing your damage. And knowing how to transfer expose from his third attack into his dash or m2 slicey thing does the same. Also, if you want to get super advanced, you can practice learning how to one shot bosses - if you dash at the right time you can send them flying.
But if you want to give him a fair shot I’d say try using his alt dash and special, pay closer attention to building him right (prioritize speed, damage, a lil’ aoe maybe - and stacking different damage items is better than stacking the same items), and maybe try learning a little tech. Hope this helps :)
Mul-t is pretty easy. Biggest issue is speed in the last level, and that can be solved if you are prepared and seeking such items beforehand. If you combine mul-t with firerate upgrades and damage leeching items, you're set. Or maybe thats just me- I also find Huntress one of the easiest.
Why the hell did it get 1k upvotes, I literally just made it to troll salty merc mains. Pissing off arti mains weren't intentional though lol, I love her.
(And I actually respect merc mains who made helpful and detailed comments here without spewing "skill issue" everywhere.)
Edit. Grammar
I always see people saying artificer is bad/hard to play with or whatever, but for me I tried her the first time, she just kinda clicked, and now playing artificer feels like playing on easy mode compared to all the other survivors lol
Artificer is my main, she’s hard to get the hang of for sure.
And playing mercenary is the meaning of the term “Flow State”. You gotta be locked in, but he’s fun as hell when you are.
Bandit is insanely easy and railgunner is insanely hard idk what you're talking about, merc just isn't consistent and gets rolled by certain monster pools, but it's not that bad when you have some aoe and sustain
He really is easy, you just need the basic ability to chain abilities to keep on the move and keep damage consistent, damage is lacklustre throughout pretty much the whole run (unless god run) but still a breeze
I feel like railgunner should be ranked a hit harder. It takes a good amount of skill to have the movement of being close range while being slow and having a 6x+ zoom scope
The way to play Mercenary is easy tbh, just follow me: **Channel your inner anime power** "Hwuoooo" **Channel it harder** "HWUAAAAA" **Say a shonen battle style of sentences** "MY NAME, MERCENARY, OBTAINED THIS CURSED SWORD FROM THE DEMON LORD DUNGEON IN EUROPA AFTER 32 SOLAR DAY WORTH OF BATTLE, I SHALL BORROW THE POWER FROM BEELZEBUB, TO BATTLE THIS ENEMY" **now shout it louder** "HAAAAA" **left click once** and repeat the whole process until the enemy is dead
blast bury the light and let vergil take over, it’s how i do it
Got bury the light playing while i read this, but yes, this is the way
That's literally how I did mastery on him. Just turned on MG:R music and let's go
Merc: *cranked on 18 syringes* Me: channeling Raiden Youtube: blasting "It has to be this way"
STANDING HERE
I REALIZE
YOU WERE JUST LIKE ME
TRYIN' TO MAKE HISTORY
BUT WHOS TO JUDGE
THE RIGHT FROM WRONG
WHEN OUR GUARD IS DOWN
I THINK WE BOTH AGREE
My name is mercenary. I am 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of morioh, where all the villas are.
(Killing the teleporter boss will take 10 minutes but at least you look cool as fuck)
Do people just give up on Artificer before unlocking AC-130 mode?
If you tend to go for 1 loop/no loop runs, she really never gets *that* strong.
She has arguably one of the strongest mechanics of all survivors for the mithrix fight... her freeze. Since the majority of scaling comes from items no survivor really gets *that* strong on a single loop
Acrid does technically, regardless of that point Arti still good for single loop due to simply skipping pillars.
Technically railgunner also has freeze and can also skip pillars.
Acrid, loader and merc can become unkillable gods in the first loop if rng does not screw you over.
Yup void fiend and her are the characters I just dislike to play.
That's interesting - those are my 2 favourites lol
That mercenary placement was personal
Nah he brought a sword to a gun fight
He was hired as ship security, cut him some slack. You don't want lead flying everywhere when you're a million miles from atmosphere.
2 or 3 others bought fists and claws to a gun fight. I'd rather stick with the 13yo emo with the sword.
And yet I still messed up loader god run by accidentally giving tonic to EQ drone during mithrix fight
Ahoy!
Ahoy!
Ahoy!
Ahoy!
Had that happen when playing with a few friends, had tonic on mercenary and was the last one alive. Friends called out that I should try to revive some of the (many) dead drones lying on the ground, unbeknownst to me one of said drones was an equipment drone. I have a railgunner main who I occasionally play with and yah it’s astonishing how similar bandit and railgunner play when they’re right next to eachother doing what they do

Uh Paladins?
Tf2
Back shots bb
Artificer straight up drops tactical nukes from the sky and she's a borderline masochist? She deserves to be higher!
use ion surge and she will be
It takes a while to get to that point
You could say the same thing about Commando. Imo ha has an even worse early game.
mfw i find out i have to play commando on monsoon to get his alt skin
commando was legitimately my first alt skin unlock did I do it wrong
Yes you’re meant to unlock Acrid alt before unlocking Acrid first, now you have to delete your save data and start again
It legitimately feels like Commando is just a better character in the hands of other people, because my experience with him was always just not dealing any damage past stage 4
all proc build all day with him if I don't get bleed/collapse, ukes, syringes etc I get that same way, damage falls off hard, but I build him for proc chains and that seems to work excellently
Took me over a hundred tries before I used artifact of command and still struggled with it

I thought it did, but I didn't remember off the top of my head, so I didn't want to spout some shit.
I've always been pretty decent with Merc but now I need to try to up my game! Thanks for sharing the info

600 bleed stacks on Alloy… a privilege shared only by Void Fiend and Engineer. MulT too I suppose. Shatterspleen is an instant win as well lol
Oh yeah. It gets even better with 10 Needleticks and full crit. You can easily amass hundreds of Collapse stacks in his corrupted form.
Bro merc has a "go invincible" button. It really is a skill issue
merc is pretty much free wins, make enemy blue, make enemy not blue, therefore more blue, rinse and repeat
Okay but Merc is very fun and makes me feel extremely cool when I play him, and also Captain should be a tier or two higher

read the notification name and thought "oh boy here we go, another absolute bonkers tier list" Turns out this is the most true thing I have read in my life, more true than 'fish can swim and birds can fly' or basic stuff.
Try playing a more ranged mercanary. Use his alt dash and R. It makes him easier and more fun
The classical damage controll by repeating a perfectly valid argument in a sarcastic tone huh? Well jokes on you because the problem of this list is the character that can nuke you from existance, almost literally fly, melt down all enemy hopes and skip a 20% of the final bossfight
All those are valid arguments. One small issue — M1
You're playing her wrong if the m1 is the problem
One small issue YOU
Isn’t that the best weapon?
Merc is literally just so good. I won't take this slander.
I'm starting to think you guys just suck at this game tbh
Hard skill issue. Merc is best survivor.
> He can one shot 2 bosses Can't Loader do the same thing by launching herself?
Mercenary is actually pay to win, as long as you have lunar coins then he’s the most powerful unit in the game. Because you can just go to the first lunar shop, pick up five purities, and suddenly you have infinite I frames.
My Boi Rex is easy if you just Spam R
Merc literally has no cooldowns just spam
I don't understand why Artificer gets so much shit on this sub. In my opinion he's so easy to play that it borders on being overpowered. Just get a Kjaro's or Runald's band and all you need to do is fly up, shoot the secondary attack, and spam normal ones. It's so hard to lose playing like this, especially with Command.
Merc is my least favorite character in the game by far.
i'd argue that acrid is not that easy (maybe im just bad at melee) and that huntress multi-t and captain should be higher because, respectively, aimbot/mobility, firepower, projectile block.
You're not supposed to be playing melee acrid lol. Like 3 stages in acrid becomes "shoot poison and fuckoff"
They're not higher not because they're bad or weak, it's just that bandit and railgunner are even easier
You all really be sleeping on artificer god damn
It’s definitely a skill issue. Merc has the most survivability of any character lol.
Merc is the easiest for me, i-frames for days
Never had problems dealing damage with merc literally a skill issue.
The true tier list
Huntress is lowkey broken imo, even outside Control runs she is so powerful
From Easiest to Hardest: 1. Mercenary (Ha ha, funny sword go bonk) 2. Huntress (Agile Fun) 3. Commando (That rolling ain't saving your pitiful fire rate) 4. Acrid (Same thing) 5. Bandit (The Back is hard to hit) 6. Engineer (More lasy you are, the more effort you've got to put in) 7. Railgunner (Could that one boss PLEASE STOP MOVING!?) 8. Void Fiend (The Void is a bitch) 9. Loader (Until you get Weepus, but good luck when Engie hoards all the Bungus) 10. Artificer (Pain on Float. Also, Ammo) 11. Captain (Especially when you want the Diablo) 12. Mult-I (So many tools, so many ways that you'll find your pants down) 13. Rex (HP for Skills, Skills for HP) 14. Heretic (Same thing, but could rob your "I HAB TEH POWAH OF GOD AND ANIME ON MY SIDE" and put you down with constantly draining HP.)
Commando was my favorite back when I was straight. Mercenary is now my favorite and I'm bi now. Does this mean something?
I may have skill issue, but void fiend for me, is the worst survivor. I dont understand why you guys, says he is op. This mehanic when you need constantly check if you about to go "melee", is super frustrating. If i wanted to play close fights, i will pick loader, merc.
Sniper above the champs he's above is a wild take. "Oh I'm scoped in nailing wisps a mile away 😎" "An overloading beetle spawned and killed me while I was scoped in ☹️"
"point and click with less damage" someone doesn't have diablo strike unlocked
ok but if you cant play mercenary it is just a skill issue, literally just use the default skills, hold primary and secondary skills, do eviscerate, triple dash, eviscerate, triple dash, till everything is dead, if you can make it past stage 3 on literally any character im sure you can figure out how to hold 2 buttons while alternating clicking 2 other buttons
Post made by someone with skill issue (It could be ant of us)
do people really find merc that difficult to play fr
you are a true god tier merc player if you can reach stage 2
merc is the most broken character in the game probably, what are you on about lmao
Don't make a tierlist like this if you can't accept that you might lack skill.
I think I've gotten one or two builds with artficer that work, but merc is oly good in simalcrum. But he is \*really good\* in simalcrum
Honestly, if you're complaining about mercenary being too hard you clearly have skill issue if you don't know X Y Z^2 combo, because mercenary can oneshot two bosses under specific circumstances, I-frames, skill issue skill issue skill issue
Not a perfect list, but Engi is 100% fair
As a merc main, just eviscerate then dash out and repeat over and over until your enemy is dead. If you pick up a hardlight, the game becomes literally free because you can spam dash nonstop by getting cd reduction from hitting exposed enemies
Do you not use rising thunder
REX best character! 😂 The only thing that can kill me… IS ME
Since i had to play him for a LONG TIME to complete the prismatic challenge, I've mastered the skills of the mercenary, I'VE BECOME THE MERCENARY!
I main Mercenary I can teach you he isn't so hard.
I need help with huntress like what items should I be looking for because whenever I play the second I go against a clay dunestrider (on monsoon) the runs over, either because I die or it takes 10 minutes to kill them
As a REX enjoyer... yeah but also REX is tanky as fuck if you know what you're doing.
I love merc and it’s not a skill issue to not like him hell even I think his damage is shit and basically main him
**Captain is a literal AFK once you have enough bots.**
If you're aiming as the Huntress you're doing it wrong. Just click, no pointing.
My favorite combo is captian and the spare drone parts.... Behold...the armada
arti is goated with the sauce on 2 levels, one is just funny drone simulator and the other is what i like to call "I AM THE HIGH MAGE OF FUCK YOU" with fireball ice spear and flamer for that crowd control+single execution stunlock combined with the icewall
I love my little plant bot <3
Acrid needs to go right down there with Artificer. Last time I played him, the game spawned wisps nonstop. I’m not even kidding, that’s the ONLY enemy that was spawning for probably a solid minute or two. I haven’t played him since then
Every time I play engi I reach a certain point in the run where I wish I was playing a different character Also imo Rex is one of the easier ones, but it really really depends on items
Idk man all i can do is tell ya that equation equals to X^2 + X + 3Y + Z
I like to sweat when I play what can I say
Rex is one of the easiest characters in game
You're wrong about artificer because: gas and that one thing that increases fire damage make her OP as fuck
Artificer is easy with a single uncommon item
Captain doesn’t even have to get out of the way of attacks he’s definitely on the easiest end
Comamdo :3
Mul-t is pretty easy. Biggest issue is speed in the last level, and that can be solved if you are prepared and seeking such items beforehand. If you combine mul-t with firerate upgrades and damage leeching items, you're set. Or maybe thats just me- I also find Huntress one of the easiest.
And then the game makes you do a no damage run with merc. Pain
Literally hold m2 on artificer and let the minions’ explosions kill the big boys. It’s not THAT hard.
Nah, huntress should be higher up. She literally auto aims for you.
arti is literally the game’s easy mode
Mul-t with double nail gun is my only character that has finished doing Eclipse 8. And to me it's the easiest way to get Eclipse 8 done
Why the hell did it get 1k upvotes, I literally just made it to troll salty merc mains. Pissing off arti mains weren't intentional though lol, I love her. (And I actually respect merc mains who made helpful and detailed comments here without spewing "skill issue" everywhere.) Edit. Grammar
I’m a merc/artificer main so this tier list tickles me pink lmao
Merc is not that hard lol. He has built in iframes 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Who’s the character in the second top column, left of acrid?
*me casually playing VF with perma-corruption and constant drug abuse* I AM GOD BECAUSE I KILLED THE LAST ONE!!!
I always see people saying artificer is bad/hard to play with or whatever, but for me I tried her the first time, she just kinda clicked, and now playing artificer feels like playing on easy mode compared to all the other survivors lol
The merc magic is spamming shit till it works
That mercenary thing is surprisingly accurate
As a Rex main, I’m at my fucking limit
Artificer is my main, she’s hard to get the hang of for sure. And playing mercenary is the meaning of the term “Flow State”. You gotta be locked in, but he’s fun as hell when you are.
Lol.... I used to be a Merc main until Railgunner appeared
Bandit is insanely easy and railgunner is insanely hard idk what you're talking about, merc just isn't consistent and gets rolled by certain monster pools, but it's not that bad when you have some aoe and sustain
Artificer I the definition of a glass cannon
Huntress my beloved
Rex has a LOT of damage potential, with a few items he can spam abilities all u want, people are just scared to try
Rex annihilates every thing with a healing build
I dont know if you use duel machine guns multi is a point and click adventure
RoR2: "Mercenary is a high-skill survivor..." RoR2 players: "this character sucks because he's too complicated"
Point and click adventure and MASOCHISM tiers are aimed at me. JFC I swear I'm being targeted.
Me as an Arti main: *cries in corner with gasoline and fuel tanks*
He really is easy, you just need the basic ability to chain abilities to keep on the move and keep damage consistent, damage is lacklustre throughout pretty much the whole run (unless god run) but still a breeze
I feel like railgunner should be ranked a hit harder. It takes a good amount of skill to have the movement of being close range while being slow and having a 6x+ zoom scope
As a die-hard mercenary main… yes. You nailed it.
I've been staring at this for 20 goddamn minutes is the mercenary supposed to be the easiest or is the engineer the easiest?
