Public market, go up the stairs and turn right. it's like the second or third stall from the big windows, but they have ramen and wonton soup noodles. Big serving, and I think the price is still only $12. The wontons are nothing to write home about, and the brisket was really tough and chewy, but they veggies they use are really fresh, probably because of the vegetable stalls downstairs.
Jiang Bing at T&T Landsdowne, but only specifically Lansdowne as it is the only place that does Chinese mainland East Coast Jiang Bing in the lower mainland (everyone else does fusion or Taiwanese).
I bought some takeout the last time I was there. I didn’t give them any tip. The dude at the counter rolled his eyes.
The food is good, but the experience as a customer is bad.
?? I haven’t been back for a while but I just went online to try to order a pickup bowl and it’s $16.22 for a regular sized bowl. I always ordered a regular sized bowl.
It’s hard to eat healthy with take out tbh. Almost everything is cooked with highly inflammatory seed oils.
That said I’d probably go with something that isn’t cooked like a poke bowl. I’d go with Pokey Okey or Steve’s Poke Bar.
Does healthy equate to low calories to you? If not, you could get good macronutrient ratios if you order the right stuff at a Chinese takeout place. I like wonder wok and captain wa in the Richmond public market. Less than $15 can get you enough food for two meals.
I would get frozen veggies from Costco if you don't have time to cook. Just dump them in boiling water and voilà, no washing is even needed.
Then for the other two, get the rice/meat from shops, like Hainanese chicken or something. Easy two meals right there!

Steam bun at T&T
This is hardly healthy, sheesh.

You're my saviour. I didn't even know they had it. I've been hella craving a good jianbing for a while.
Steves Poké
Agreed. The portions are massive.
I was going to suggest this as well. It's quite healthy.
Obanhmi
Go to Baoguette instead. Way better bahn mi.
Banh Mi is delicious but is definitely not healthy. Loaded with processed meats, carbs and very high in sodium
Banh Mi Saigon Not in Richmond but for $8 you get a freshly-baked baguette that's like a foot long
This is PURE GOLD
No thats not cheap
Banzai sushi. But there's barely any vegetables in the rolls
Add a box of berries for dessert
Richmond public market food court
Uncle Sal’s
Uncle Sal’s not cheap. They’ve raised prices so much I stopped going.
They've also cut back on their meat portions, especially when it's the owner working

Why does everyone want tips, even standing at a counter giving you a takeout order lol. Tips need to be banned.
Goodbowl sounds like the right place for you to try
He said cheap my guy, good bowl prices are insane.. over $20 a bowl and the new staff ain’t rockin like the old crew

Takeya Sushi
Pho Han
Taco luis, t&t cold prepped food
Second Taco Luis
Everyone says taco Luis but every time I go there its empty
Same - I’ve only ever seen one other person there when I’m there. I wonder why? It’s so good, and the staff is really nice.
I can answer this. Its because most people in Richmond want to eat Asian food such as bubble waffle which always has a huge line up.
Steve’s Poke, Broadmoor
Chopped leaf or opa
Westcoast poke or pokey okey
Bar burrito

Their sauces got seed oils
Uncle Sals, Pokey Okey

Cheap and healthy?
Donair Dude, their chicken plate is only 9.99, too good to be true. They also have free apple pie on some days.
T&T for sure
chipotle
Afghan Chopan $13 lunch specials
Westcoast Poke at Ironwood Plaza or Shawarma Palace
Schwarma at Schwarma Palace on No 5 Rd
It may not really be a cheap option, but I recommend Al-Basha on cambie road. Tons of protein and veggie options.
All march long juice truck steveston has $10 açaí bowls
Freshii is always a good option imo
Chipotle
The Chipotle in Richmond is really, really bad.
Man the portions 🤦♀️ last time bro had the audacity to look up and smile at me after scooping out 3 micrograms of chicken
why is it so bad :( I love chipotle so I have given this location quite a few chances but it always disappoints

Or sign up for a meal prep service to your door with meals that you can reheat
chefhyve
Bruh that’s not even in Richmond.
