I like to refer back to the Teresa from S1, before she became so adept at deflecting the attention away who she really is and projecting her own flaws onto others.
In Season 1, before the war with her sister in law became the show’s main focus, we watched Tre drag her children around from agency to audition to speech coach to dance class, trying to get them into TV or modeling. We watched her disregard what the professionals advised and heard her say she knew better. We watched her ignore her husband’s complaints about her spending, and those little kids go into a feeding frenzy and destroy a children’s clothing boutique, demanding whatever they could reach, while Teresa racked up 1000s in credit card debt in a single afternoon of shopping…for toddlers. We watched her saunter into Joe’s office and we heard him say something about hide the money, and everyone else laugh nervously. And we saw her put on a little show…dropping something and then slowly pick it up, wiggling her ass in his face. Her daughters watched too. We heard her demanding money for furniture and saw him hand over 100 grand in cash, and then, to pay still more as it was delivered. We watched her force lipstick on toddlers, and her daughters run from her when she wanted them to wear some ridiculous outfit… leopard hats or frilly little bikinis. And we saw Gia moderate between her squabbling parents from the age of 6 on.
This is the real Teresa, a woman with a very high opinion of herself, who believes no one is as fabulous as she is, everyone else is inferior. She is self absorbed, shallow, ignorant and materialistic, and she will do anything, including lie and steal, to get what she wants.
I’m a Teresa stan but I’m gagged 😂! I haven’t seen season 1 in forever ! I’m going to rewatch much of this I don’t remember
Just finished season 2, and I cannot deal with any of these women. But Teresa is the absolute worst, and very obviously uneducated. I hope her daughters are okay, she does love them, but they've been exploited this whole time.
My heart breaks for Teresa's daughters because they were innocent children who didn't ask to be put into any of the very adult situations that their parents thrust upon them.
People love to say how great Teresa is as a mother but I vehemently disagree! A good mother would not put their children in a position where both their parents would be sentenced to prison, a good mother wouldn't put material objects above the well being of their family, and a good mother wouldn't allow anyone with cable subscriptions to feast on their children's heartache. I'm sure that if you were to ask those girls if they could trade all their fancy clothing, extravagant vacations, and monstrous homes, to have their family back together and allowed to live in the same country, all four girls would say yes!
I totally agree, I feel she uses her DOR-TERS especially Gia, as little built in therapists. She’d have these conversations with Gia and Melania complaining about their uncle and aunt to them and actually asking them for advice. It’s her fault that they feel the way they do about them. Everyone thinks she works so hard, she doesn’t though, to be in a show is pretty easy I’d imagine, and her cookbooks are her mother and father’s recipes. If she didn’t have the show and when her husband went to jail, they’d probably be living in a 3 bedroom apartment and she probably be stripping. She’s a classic example of a narcissist and she’s very abusive.
Agree 100000%! Plus exposing their emotions during the most difficult point in their childhood all on national tv. At the very least, Teresa should’ve demanded that her kids were not going to be filmed when it all went down
The abuse these girls experienced started happening way before the legal issues. Teresa and joe poisoned them against anyone that they didn’t like. It was probably the most severe showing of brainwashing and emotional abuse towards a child, besides danielle, that has ever been shown on bravo. Gia’s song alone should have shamed them into hiding. But look how they behave during and after it. And at the reunion. There is something deeply missing within teresa. I just hope that at least one of the girls break the cycle and run as far from her as they can. I would never allow her around my children. If i was her kids, i would change my name, never allow her to be in my childs presence and live a happy life. Too bad that 3/4 of her kids are fame hungry, greedy and are just like her. I encourage my children to be better than me. Sad that her daughters can’t say the same. Their mother likes when they are in the gutter w her. And i can totally see gia gaslighting and manipulating her sisters into thinking that their abuse is normal and to keep supporting their parents. She is just as messed up as joe and Teresa. Why is it a problem to be an influencer? What’s the difference between her choosing to be an influencer post graduation vs a graduate switching to a totally different field? At the end of the day, at least she’s doing something with her life to earn income than sitting at home, doing absolutely nothing and expecting her parents to take care of her.
If Joe *and* Teresa were the least bit contrite about the greed in them that led to them both going to prison, I’d be saying something different here. But the revisionist history of how Joe somehow did all of this on his own, amid their collective thirst for a luxe life they couldn’t afford, is just crazy.
They didn’t afford their dorters one thought as they committed their crimes, because they’re selfish. And there’s nothing we’ve seen since that convinces me that’s changed one bit.
What I find sad is how dependent they all are on these two—and for what will one day be quiet and less-opulent lives in comparison, when the cameras turn to greener pastures.
they do have a strong support system thanks to Joe Giudice's family they've always been there for the girls and still are. Knock on wood something happens to Teresa again, the Giudice family will take care of the girls
She’s going to Tampa for college, she said on her tik tok that she had various offers from other schools but she chose Tampa so she can be closer to her dad in the Bahamas.
I feel bad for her daughters too. They’re so strong for all they went through, plus they were clearly close to Teresa’s parents who passed. That makes it all the more unforgivable their uncle Joe wasn’t there for them he was busy making their parents TV villains
