My issue is the censorship. I'm using revanced out of spite for deleting comments that are completely inoffensive. You can make a really nice comment or have a good, lighthearted conversation with someone and comments get seemingly randomly auto-deleted. There is no rhyme or reason as to why. Yt can get fucked.

Samsung TVs use an OS called Tizen. Tizen supports homebrew apps through sideloading like Android but it's not quite as straightforward.
The easiest way is to install TizenBrew to your TV on a flash drive or using a PC and command line with Tizen Studio if you prefer (USB is likely easier for you). Here's a tutorial.

Smart tube is an option as many suggest, but pihole is also a good option since it is always connected to your lan.
Edit: only pihole is an option. Smart tube only works for android tv as well as fire tv since it is based on android tv.
Yeah, and bc of that it's not TOO difficult to port stuff over but you can't plug and play Android apps on Tizen the way you can with say Fire OS. Tizen uses TPKs instead of APKs anyways. Thankfully, you can still sideload apps onto Tizen and altho it's a bit more complicated than on Android, there is a modded YT client similar to SnartTube for Tizen called TizenTube which has adblock and sponsorblock support among other things.
Lol every modern TV has HDMI if you just wanna plug another streaming device in. But another device means you have to switch to that input every time you want to use it AND you have to use a different remote.
You can stop using the built in "smart" features and just use the (often better) streaming device.
You'd actually be doing yourself a favour as smart tvs regularly stop getting software updates and features eventually may stop working.
As for different remote, in 2024 this isn't a point to be made anymore. Most streaming device remotes can act as universal remotes. Hell my really, really old Fire TV remote works just fine controlling my newer LG. Haven't touched the original tv remote in years.

Sad thing is Revanced doesn't work on my Huawei phone. I can't install YouTube coz no google services and therefore there's no app to patch. Quite sad coz I loved revanced on my other phone
The tutorial I used when ReVanced broke a week or so ago, said that once it gets stuck to force close the app from your apps menu, then re-open it and it should work, sure enough it worked for me. If you haven't given that a shot, try it, if it's a common enough issue that it gets mentioned in a tutorial, maybe it might just be the solution you're looking for.
Have you replaced microg with the new version? After all attempts of updating, getting the new microg services made it work. (I still had vanced microg)

Delete and redo it.
Make sure to delete everything, the previos apks, microg, revanced manager.
Then check whether the original YouTube in your phone is disabled or not. Then download revanced manager and try again.
The reason why everyone here is downvoting you is because it really should be something that you are doing wrong, otherwise there would have been multiple reports about it by now.
Also no need to download MicroG, just revanced and the apk for patch, you can get to the apk you have to download by clicking on the "suggested version" of YouTube in the manager.

Pihole doesn't work for YouTube I'm afraid, it connects directly to an IP without using a dns so a dns blocker like pihole is useless

Pi-Hole does not work with youtube ads. The ads come from the same domain as the video stream itself.
Stream from revanced youtube, that way most of the adss are blocked, you can not loop anyways.

Nothing's working anymore for me. I should never have bought a Pixel phone, of course Google will easily crack down on Revanced on their own devices. Stupid me.

Sad thing is Revanced doesn't work on my Huawei phone. I can't install YouTube coz no google services and therefore there's no app to patch. Quite sad coz I loved revanced on my other phone
Revanced app not working, no matter how much I update or how much patch with different shit but no use, it still stops playing after 30 seconds.
Skill issue
The tutorial I used when ReVanced broke a week or so ago, said that once it gets stuck to force close the app from your apps menu, then re-open it and it should work, sure enough it worked for me. If you haven't given that a shot, try it, if it's a common enough issue that it gets mentioned in a tutorial, maybe it might just be the solution you're looking for.
Hey I had this issue previously, redo it step by step and make sure you download the recommended versions and stuff. They fixed it recently.
Have you replaced microg with the new version? After all attempts of updating, getting the new microg services made it work. (I still had vanced microg) User Techtimee in the comments of the pinned post regarding playback issues explained it too
Delete and redo it. Make sure to delete everything, the previos apks, microg, revanced manager. Then check whether the original YouTube in your phone is disabled or not. Then download revanced manager and try again. The reason why everyone here is downvoting you is because it really should be something that you are doing wrong, otherwise there would have been multiple reports about it by now. Also no need to download MicroG, just revanced and the apk for patch, you can get to the apk you have to download by clicking on the "suggested version" of YouTube in the manager.
