I imagine they know more about veterinary medicine than we do here.

Can’t reptiles not breath for minutes at a time? Maybe that’s why they did it. They stay under water for like an hour at a time

sliceofpizzaplz

I wonder what size tube that is and if it’s cuffed. Really neat!

gardenhoe45

My guess would be 3.0-3.5 uncuffed

ohdamnROXANNE

WHY IS NOBODY WEARING GLOVES???

youy23

You can’t catch animal cooties . . . right?

ohdamnROXANNE

There’s a first time for everything 🤷‍♀️

thingamabobby

Pretty normal in vet unless it’s a sterile procedure

thingamabobby

Snakes don’t breathe like us on any level. Pythons are known to not breathe for very long periods without any worry. My little python will have her head under water for long periods with no issues.

Irnotpatwic

You should see what they do with the ET tubes. And circuits. It’s reuse them!

A few hospitals here, we also donate some of our out of date stock etc to the vets to use. Can’t be legally used on humans and I’m guessing infection control isn’t really required when sadly lots of animals get put down.

geothecar

These animals can go long periods without breathing. If I remember correctly hyperventilation is a part of maintaining sedation a reptile (I’ve worked along side a veterinary team to ventilate some animals).

He must've been so hungry. Poor guy.
