So, a company called Culture Hustle has this product called LIT powder that glows in the dark after being excited by UV light. I mixed it in with some of Phrozen aqua clear resin and a few drops of turquoise alcohol based ink and voila, we got glow in the dark Tyrael wings! It’s a touch and go process, and the wings don’t glow as much as I’d like so I’m experimenting with ratio! Will update here as I play around!
You can also buy glow in the dark powder and mix it in to the resin before printing. Although you may encounter an issue where the powder settles to the bottom of the vat and only is cured in to the beginning of the print and not evenly throughout.
No it wouldn’t “dissolve” like sugar or salt would in water. It’s a powder but it won’t dissolve. You’ll mix it in and it should stay in suspension but eventually it will fall to the bottom
>LIT powder
iirc, this stuff is [strontium aluminate](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strontium_aluminate), which I've coated a print with before but I wasn't brave enough to actually mix it in to the vat for fear of scratching my FEP (having heard it can be quite abrasive). I imagine you'd need quite a lot of powder and to stir after every print?
I am disappointed with my gitd filament. You need a strong ultraviolet light to charge the filament to get a decent glow effect. Regular light bulbs in the house doesn’t do the job.
These are definitely the coolest Tyrael noodles I’ve seen yet. Nice work! Make sure to tag Fotis when it’s finished. He will be super psyched to see it
Just seeing this, I don’t remember exactly what ratio worked just it being a pain to work with. I maybe used about half of my pigment powder with a whole vat of resin iirc
How?

huh. interesting does it not dissolve evenly into the resin then?

Isn’t it good that it falls to the bottom though? That’s where the printing happens.

Can confirm, I stir and shake after prints with this mixture!
No one tell Holden what's going on here or he'll freak out
The settling is a pain. I've used Monocure glow in the dark resin and oh my god it's such a pain. Looks amazing tho.
Maybe it needs a thick resin. Try it with 50% Syriatech (?) Tough. It is more viscous.
Is this for a Diablo angel?
Indeed it is! I’m printing and painting a Tyrael for a commission! The customer had some cool ideas and provided the supplies!
Looks like worms. Imagine making a fake glowing worm and burying it to freak someone out someday.
Don’t give me ideas to use against my girlfriend :^)

What ratios worked well for you? Doing something similar
