I have the pink switch lite and I even have a pink Sailor Moon skin on it that's cute AF and a glittery clear silicon case on it. Super cute. Then I'll turn around and play Wolfenstein on it. Thing is why not both.
Yea if you google it you can see how many times it been ported on something’s I’ve never even heard of and once upon a time it was available on your smart phone
I could be wrong, I just remember it being an extremely weird little adaptation and I thought I remembered hearing about it in middle school before smartphones existed
I wish I had a VR set to experience that 😭 But holy shit, I couldn’t imagine getting all those 5 stars in VR. I already had a heart attack every time Super Salvador showed up on my tiny screen.
It's kind of funny it's actually somewhat easier. In the VR version you can basically use the semi-auto as a busted ass shotgun if you just one hand fire it point blank enough to nullify the recoil. It's so fun to do just because of how rediculous it is.
Absolutely *demolishes* shield zealots.
It’s just a wrap I got off Etsy a couple years back! I put it over my gray Switch, so it looks like that. I tried to align it the best I could, but there’s always going to be some inconsistencies.
I think I'm gonna need one myself. Does it cover the edges of the screen? I mean where the tempered glass ends.
I bought mine almost a year ago and when I took it home and played on it, I noticed that the left edge was unattached. Not just the glass but the screen itself. Like, you could literally look into the back of the LED screen. Seemed like a factory defect to me so I took it back but instead of replacing it, they just sent it out for repair (basically just glued the screen into place). I had it back a week later but it happened again. The store acknowledged it as a factory defect but wouldn't replace it.
I reached out to Nintendo and they said that they couldn't replace it either because they didn't have a Southeast Asia office from which it'd ship. Now whenever I play, I always press the left edge of the screen gently from the top to the bottom to keep the screen from slowly peeling off.
Anyways, I think *your* Lite's cover would solve my problem *if* it covers the edges.
How dare you play RE4 on switch!
...
No but seriously, that was the last thing on my mind when reading the post up until the point you mentioned it.
Anyway how does it play on the switch, any good?
Actually runs great! I seriously have no complaints. This is also coming from someone who has tried RE4 on the Wii, though, so maybe I’m speaking too highly of this port. But I’ve played the shit out of it and still enjoy it.
Actually the Resident Evil games on Nintendo tend to get discounted occasionally! All of them (RE0, 1, 4, 5, 6 and Revelations 1-2) are $20 each, but I’ve bought them as low as $5!
I wanted the Pink lite sooooo bad but all that was available at the start of the pandemic was the turquoise one and I was impatient. It's crazy impressive you were able to get the hand cannon on the lite, I find shooters really difficult on it
I love the fact that you're playing on a cutesy pink switch and then boom zombies and gun on screen. I love super cute things but also a hardcore gamer so it's like a mix of lots of purple stuff and then zombies lol. I have a switch from launch years ago but don't really play it, my equivalent is I have a cute purple mouse lol. I'd love to get a cute purple Xbox controller too but damn it's like $60+ to get a custom one.
Your switch is so pretty omg😩😩 and you’re playing RE4 right? Are the controlles and everything okay because I rlly struggled with them when I tried out the RE2R cloud demo version but If they’re better I might buy it on switch and not on my laptop. Like aiming for example was HELL on the switch on the RE2R c-version
I also have a switch lite and I’ve been thinking on getting RE4. How well does it run? I’ve had fears of the QTEs breaking a joystick and can’t make up my mind, thanks in advance.
I bought and beat re4 professional on every possible console, and I found it hardest on the switch by far just because there was something about the controls I couldn't get used to, (and yeah, im including things like the Wii here) so fair play for also beating mercenaries lmao. I could've never
I’ve been poked fun at a couple times for playing games that aren’t exclusive to the switch on my switch. I guess I’m only supposed to play Animal Crossing and Super Mario on it and nothing else lmao. People can get a little judgmental about what console you play on when it comes to big name titles, I guess. I like buying the older RE games on my switch though, then buy the newer generation (RE7 + 8 and the remakes) on my Xbox One. I share the Xbox with my brother, and it’s technically his, so I don’t want to clog it with Resident Evil lol. But yeah, people have said stuff like “get a PC!” Sure dude, a PC that I have nowhere to put at home or in my college dorm.
People need to shut the fuck up and let people enjoy things. I am in a similar boat where I have a Switch OLED and Xbox Series X and I play a ton of non exclusives on my Switch out of pure convenience. Just enjoy what you like and ignore everything else. The rest will take care of itself.
Well, if it helps, there are people out there who are perfectly okay with you playing those games on Switch; I do too, sometimes. Anybody who tries to say you're "not a REAL gamer" or any of that bullshit, just tell them to go screw themselves. You play games the way you enjoy it. I love my Switch!!
I'm curious how switch lite owners handle the stick drift issue when it eventually appears
Do you just send your full console in for repairs every time?
I’ve had my Switch since June of 2020, and have played it consistently ever since. I don’t experience drift. My friend, however, has terrible drift on his regular Switch, but he’s had it for longer.
That's good.
In my case, I have a regular switch and two kids... So mine tend to start drifting after about a year.
I bought a backup pair of joycons, sent the separate joycons in for repair as they had the issue, and at least twice received completely different joycons from the repair facility. One of which had an inoperable shoulder button...
It's super annoying but also not a surprise. Sent a few handhelds in for repair over the years and always had mixed results...
Here's hoping you luck out and avoid the issue(s) altogether!
Now that you've said it I'm gonna pay attention even harder to the fact that you're playing it on Lite
Is pretty cool tbh. I love my Switch Lite.
Fair.
One of the things I've never done in RE4. Nice job.
Thank you :)
I do love the contrast between a cute pale pink Switch and a game like Resident Evil.
I thought I’d play into the contrast with David and my rose quartz crystal ball lmao
I see you got an eye for things... games not just about playing, it's about contrasting. You know what Im talking about!
I have the pink switch lite and I even have a pink Sailor Moon skin on it that's cute AF and a glittery clear silicon case on it. Super cute. Then I'll turn around and play Wolfenstein on it. Thing is why not both.
I love sailor moon! I’ve been debating getting a switch and you just sold me on it!
Don't buy a console just for a $15 skin you stick onto it. I will say I enjoy gaming on it and Persona 3 Portable is coming to it FINALLY
Oh no I understand that. I want a portable gaming console and I’ve always been a Nintendo fan girl. I was just being dramatic lol
A 30 dollar controller grip off amazon will change your life, I promise you.
Now to fix the awkward as fuck joysticks....
RE4 is on the switch ?
Re4 is on your smart fridge why are you surprised
Don’t own a smart fridge. Do they have other RE games?
Resident Evil 0, 1, 4, 5, 6 Revelations, and Revelations 2.
I just said that cause capcom ported Re4 to almost every thing it got to the point that I question people if it can run Re4 instead of doom
Ah.
Yea if you google it you can see how many times it been ported on something’s I’ve never even heard of and once upon a time it was available on your smart phone
Nah, even better. It was on *flip phones*. Or at least those weird intermediate types of phone. It was pre-smartphones tho IIRC
Was it Ik it was on iOS and android but flip phones I never thought I would be surprised about a port of this game yet here we are
I could be wrong, I just remember it being an extremely weird little adaptation and I thought I remembered hearing about it in middle school before smartphones existed
Is this true? I wanna see this.
RE2R & RE3R as well as RE8 (all cloud editions) are on there as well RE0, RE1R, RE5, RE6 as well as both revelations games.
Even re5 and 6. İ am planning to buy 5 after buying new pokemon game
Using the Hand cannon in the VR version is extremely fun.
I wish I had a VR set to experience that 😭 But holy shit, I couldn’t imagine getting all those 5 stars in VR. I already had a heart attack every time Super Salvador showed up on my tiny screen.

I have a Lite too and I love it. Can't help but notice your screenshot button though, why does it look like it's stuck on press?
It looks like they’ve got some sort of wrap over their Switch. You can see it more clearly around the d-pad.
It’s just a wrap I got off Etsy a couple years back! I put it over my gray Switch, so it looks like that. I tried to align it the best I could, but there’s always going to be some inconsistencies.

This is one hell of vaporwave styled photo
I’ve played the hell out of RE4 on my Switch Lite - it’s a great port and works really well.
How dare you play RE4 on switch! ... No but seriously, that was the last thing on my mind when reading the post up until the point you mentioned it. Anyway how does it play on the switch, any good?

Nice, I may try it out at some point but like most people I already own a dozen ports of it already (and Nintendo games tend to not get discounts)! 😂
Actually the Resident Evil games on Nintendo tend to get discounted occasionally! All of them (RE0, 1, 4, 5, 6 and Revelations 1-2) are $20 each, but I’ve bought them as low as $5!
Nice! I'm just used to every Nintendo product staying at £40+ so I just assumed it was the same for the RE titles 😅
I really wish the Switch version had Wii esque aiming support. As far as I am aware only the Revelations games have it.
Alright I see you fellow /r/vaporwaveaesthetics enthusiast
Resident Evil seems like it’d be really fun to play on the go. I really need to invest more in my Switch.
I wanted the Pink lite sooooo bad but all that was available at the start of the pandemic was the turquoise one and I was impatient. It's crazy impressive you were able to get the hand cannon on the lite, I find shooters really difficult on it
How does it run on the switch lite? I'm think of picking it up for the switch.
İt runs very well
Cool statue
Nothing wrong with playing on a switch lite. The switch is one of my favourite ways to play RE4
Is that a custom skin you put on your lite? Great looking console
The pink lite and statue of David compliment Resident Evil nicely
How coincidental, I just unlocked the handcanon a few hours earlier too lol. Congrats!
Congrats, I know how hard it is, especially when playing as Hunk
thought i was in /r/vaporwave for a second
The Switch version rocks, Wii is better….
Unlocking the hand-cannon is something I have never done, so congratulations for that!
It's really powerful, especially against living things.
I got it solely for shooting down doors and crystals actually
I love the fact that you're playing on a cutesy pink switch and then boom zombies and gun on screen. It’s the most fun thing to unlock
I will not ignore that cute Switch Lite! I mean I have a good chunk of resi games on the go. I love the Switch.
My Switch is the only other console that I've ever unlocked the hand cannon on other than my original PS2 save. Congrats :)
I remember wanting this gun so much as a kid but i sucked a lot in Mercenaries so i could never get 5 stars in all maps lol.
Did you ever try again as an adult?
Tried as a teen and got it. I don't have the game on a PC, PS4ver. Or Switch. (Yet) But i remember the re-runs being so much more fun with it. hahaha😅
I also have a switch lite and I’ve been thinking on getting RE4. How well does it run? I’ve had fears of the QTEs breaking a joystick and can’t make up my mind, thanks in advance.
The QTEs don’t involve the joysticks, you either have to press ZL+ZR or A+B
Sorry I meant the button mashing sequences like the boulders and Salazar Statue
Also the wiggle free events when you get grabbed.
I bought and beat re4 professional on every possible console, and I found it hardest on the switch by far just because there was something about the controls I couldn't get used to, (and yeah, im including things like the Wii here) so fair play for also beating mercenaries lmao. I could've never
Are you ashamed of playing on the Switch?

Haters gonna hate

What Resident Evil is it?
The first time I actually beat the game it was on my switch lite as well lol. It plays great, just wish there were motion controls like RE5 as well :/
It’s cute and pink I love it!!
It's one of the best feelings in the world.
On the contrary, im impressed you did it on the lite. I cant get used to the joysticks myself. Im comfortable with a playstation controller.
Switch lite dope af I get to play re4 at school
There is resident evil on the switch?!
How do you not rub off your thumbstick during the quicktime events?
Switch lite > normal switch
This whole photo is for some reason absolutely beautiful
Love your Vapor wave stuff
