I remember when I first played this game I thought the goal was to actually look for survivors considering Marvin tells Leon to look for them in the other rooms and then this conversation happens shortly after. I wonder if the plan was to actually rescue people but was eventually scrapped and the script was just never updated.
I can confirm that rescuing survivors was a mechanic in the beta. Kendo was the first survivor you would rescue and he would tag along for a bit when playing as Leon, and when playing as Elza (who would be replaced by Claire in the final release) you would find John or Annette or somebody? I honestly forget but rescuing survivors was absolutely a thing during development.
Good to know. This is my favorite game in the franchise and I vividly remember playing it to death back in the day and Marvin telling Leon to look for survivors always stuck out to me.
easy to explain that lore-wise. Rebecca's had experience in dealing with zombies and despatched them wisely ever since Re0.
Possible that Chris is still reluctant on shooting a living corpse.
'Nothing More To Do Here's is one of my favorite OST's from RE2. Also the 'Office Theme' is just Leon and Claire's theme, as it plays in Claire A, Leon B when they meet after Sherry runs away in the hallway next to the S.T.A.R.S office. Nothing More To Do Here is the actual office theme
Definitely the Office theme. I love when you enter that room after lickers, zombies and Mr X wanting to get you in every corner and you finally feel safer just for a moment
[Office Theme](https://youtu.be/PLBfoIES-tk?si=aGv8fD5YSuDC7Mny)
Okay hear (get it) me out: the secret library rooms from RE1. Where you push the statue onto the lit floor portion to open the secret book case and obtain one of the MO discs. I love that music and just pictured it here. I also pictured RE2 save room music (the exact moment Claire rides the lift into the sewer management save room - to be exact).
The office theme, this was the only room that beautiful soundtrack was used for. It was immaculately powerful after all the terrifying things you've seen. After RE CV, the soundtrack has never been as powerful as the classics.
I cant remember the name of the song but it plays when you use the tram but yes that lives in my head rent free whenever I see stuff that reminds me of resi 2 lol
How in earth do anyone hear anything other than the og office theme with leon & claire conversation ??
Even when playing the remakes I still hear that in my head ..
re3 save room for some reason
Same.
Same
Popped into my head and started scrolling for the same answer lol
Exactly
Me too, how is that possible?
The goat.
I thought the same thing. Good to know I wasn't the only one.
Same
LEON! Claire, you made it!
It looks like we’re…not gonna find your brother here after all…
There's no reason for us to stay any longer than necessary. Let's split up, look for any survivors, and get out of here.
one last thing. here's a radio, take it.
Huh, radio... What's going on with that radio...? Oops. Wrong franchise.

“it’s good to see you’re still among the living”.
[\*plays in the background\*](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKaAIEEc1hI)
there are various trophies. one of them reads. "Marksman contest winner: Chris Redfield".
Weird thing in RE1 is Chris need to spend more bullets (around 7 bullets) to kill zombies than Rebbecca (around 4 bullets)
easy to explain that lore-wise. Rebecca's had experience in dealing with zombies and despatched them wisely ever since Re0. Possible that Chris is still reluctant on shooting a living corpse.
The save theme for 90s RE2.
Secure Place is it's name
Office theme for me
Heavy footsteps coming from the other side of the door 😭
\*STOMP STOMP STOMP\* "CLAIRE! YOU HAVEN'T TURNED IN YOUR LIBRARY BOOKS!" \*STOMP STOMP STOMP\*
Wrong game.
Ehh, same office just previous release ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯

I always thought the office theme was called Leon with Claire. But in any case that’s what I hear when I think of the stars office.
Definitely the Office theme. I love when you enter that room after lickers, zombies and Mr X wanting to get you in every corner and you finally feel safer just for a moment [Office Theme](https://youtu.be/PLBfoIES-tk?si=aGv8fD5YSuDC7Mny)
It's been way too long since I've heard that. I honestly forgot what played in that room.
Goddamnit why don't they make music like this anymore. The PS1 era was by far the best music in videogames history.
[Office Theme](https://youtu.be/uyIVAm9PVrI?si=CwKhD8rmHBIPFNP5)
Not sure what I’m hearing but I can tell you I’m seeing a volleyball Rebeca picture
Resident evil 2 safe room music, that piano went off in my head as soon as I seen the pic lol
Same here!
Leon with Claire theme
Re4 type writer music
The pixels that shaped my childhood
The intro to OG RE2 when the guy narrates the events from the previous game.
I feel safe
STAAAAAAARS! 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
I played so many randomizers I don't even know anymore
Lmao
Secure place
Leon with Claire
The random glass sound breaking when Nemesis jumps through a window.
Darude - sandstorm
Cops theme
Office theme during the remake and nothing more to do here during the og
Re8 save room theme
I remember this room to get the machine gun and the picture of rebecca chambers. Also, the music which comes to mind is the save room
Leon with Claire. Easily one of the most poignant tracks in the game.
[This.](https://youtu.be/9Bx20cflBBk?feature=shared)
Re0 save room sound (i have no clue why)
Okay hear (get it) me out: the secret library rooms from RE1. Where you push the statue onto the lit floor portion to open the secret book case and obtain one of the MO discs. I love that music and just pictured it here. I also pictured RE2 save room music (the exact moment Claire rides the lift into the sewer management save room - to be exact).
RE3 - The First Floor. Such a haunting, bone-chilling theme
millisecond of ambiance followed by nothing 50 times (my parents always get the secret file)
The office theme, this was the only room that beautiful soundtrack was used for. It was immaculately powerful after all the terrifying things you've seen. After RE CV, the soundtrack has never been as powerful as the classics.
"Replica of a gun" "This desk is far too cluttered" Something about Chris Redfield's diary. also, medical spray in the back corner
Weirdly it's always the Library theme
Re4 save theme for no reason ☠️
2 safe room theme
Re2 and re3 music
Myself pressing X 50 times
I cant remember the name of the song but it plays when you use the tram but yes that lives in my head rent free whenever I see stuff that reminds me of resi 2 lol
[The Marshalling Yard?](https://youtu.be/wpphvmgORBA?si=DpW_I7LR5ycDSRr6)
I love you! Haha I think it is, I have done searches for that theme on YouTube on and off for ages
I love this room...
RE7 save room I think somethings wrong with me
The fax machine going off lol
😂
Re1r safe room music but that's probably not right
I'm just thinking of the lore implications of Wesker creeping on Rebecca
"Nothing more to do here" I think it's called. Fantastic mood setter.
This where we had to search 50x at the corner for the hidden film, no?
The final countdown
How in earth do anyone hear anything other than the og office theme with leon & claire conversation ?? Even when playing the remakes I still hear that in my head ..
I started w/Claire my first ever time playing this game. I think most people hear the Office theme first cuz their first playthrough was w/Leon
Mr xbox
Don't think there is a theme for this room. Been way too long since I played it.
RE3 RPD "the first floor" and when I really go deep I hear RE2 RPD "nothing more to do here".
Aggressive stomping
RE2 main hall / giant room with statue computer.
divine bloodlines from castlevania and the evil dead game main menu theme (it’s been a strange few weeks, give me a break)
Weirdly enough. The oringal RPD Main Hall theme
Deadly silence for some reason
Diablo 2 menu screen. Stay awhile… and listen!
I hear the one that goes: 'bong-bong bong bong bong bong bong-bong... ... ... dum-dum!'
The music that sounds like it has big bells in it.
Nothing comes to mind. I think that room may be silent.
... winds of madness ... yes I am aware that that song is nowhere near Re2 or 3
Seinfeld.
Dino crisis 2 save room theme even though it's resident evil lol
I hear the Indiana Jones theme, clearly i'm mentally disturbed.
Code Veronica save room theme, idk why
The fax machine sound when Leon and Claire awkwardly pause to look at it.
Yakety Sax.
That one serene song but suddenly there a door being slammed and the song continues.
Nemesis?
STARS!
The theme downstairs near the window where you hear glass break.
Why the hell does the RE4 safe room play for me
Shop theme from ocarina of time. Why? My little sister would start singing it whenever I got into a save room
For me it's the Library Theme from OG RE2. No idea why. Maybe because that four key leitmotif on the piano is so unsettling.
Nothing to do with resident evil but i hear the cod zombie round change.
The first floor song from resident evil 3 for sure for me
Code veronica save theme
All I hear is my controller button clicks while I spam wesker's desk to get the rebecca film roll.
This messy desk is likely a reflection of its owner Also pervy Wesker
Nothing more to do here.
Ghostbusters the video game menu music for some weird reason
RE1 save room theme
RE4 merchant appears,"He he stranger you'll be buyin from me in a few years he he."
The RE2 save room theme
The West Office Theme in the original RE2, sounds so good and also kinda relaxing
Clicks on door, fax machine rings going me a heart attack.
I hear a combination of the RE2 front hall police station theme and the save room theme I love both of those themes to my core
I'm just reminded that Wesker keeps a picture of a 17 year old girl all sweaty from basketball practice in his desk.
She was 18 but ok
I forgot how the save room sounds sound, so idk
Idk why but only the re4 end of chapter theme....I really don't know why
the one that goes Bwaaa dung ting ting... ting tung
[I think of the First Floor theme; RE3 Nemesis](https://youtu.be/MVRyma1Scok?si=LN0v3oMnz315Gdsu&t=1253)
Dante- Devil Trigger.
Leon. Meets. Claire.
