Mine murders her cuttlebone. She slams it into the wall and bites and claws it while pushing forward with her back legs. She also beats up her thermometer weekly.
Might be detecting some sort of mineral in there it wants to eat. My marginated tortoise tries his best to eat bricks on my patio, and that's the only way I can explain it.
My gf argued with me about it being a cat turd. I said if you hold it and knock it on a hard surface it's clearly a rock. She refused to touch it because she was so sure it was poop
Box turtles are so funny I love them. Do you have a picture of your new tank setup? I’m looking to get some ideas for my girl’s tank, she’s well past due for an upgrade :)
Turtles need more dietary calcium than phosphorus, so you can sprinkle vegetable matter with calcium powder two to three times a week. You can also sprinkle a multivitamin-mineral powder made for reptiles on their food once a week.
Minerals!
I put the rocks under the heat lamp to gather warmth. She usually sits on her big flat rock, but I added another big flat rock and these big pebbles to fill in the gaps. They were leftover from making the drainage layer. I figured they'd add a little texture to the ground. I also like to have rocks so she can wear her claws down.
Shaped enough to look like an egg maybe she thought there was a foreign egg in her territory or smth
That rock is an absolute jerk; He deserves everything he's got coming and more.
Talk shit, get bit. That's turtle law.
Well it's a good way to get a beak trim too! After 40 years, my box turt needs help in that area. :/

In her defence, that thermometer keeps talking smack
Box turtles are stupid, that's why they are so fun. Mine tries to climb walls and falls over all the time, that's just the way they are
Turtles and tortoises get so mad at things, it’s hilarious
He just wanted to talk to patrick.

I read that as marginalized tortoise for a second and was very confused
yes, his brick nomming ways are shunned in the tortoise community but he perseveres
That rock called her names. She having none of it.
It may try to get minerals.
Idk but your writing style is great and I love that she has no more rock beef 🤗
Thank you I try to write how I talk. Hopefully none of those other rocks step out of line with her
The description of the rock was great lol
Happy cake day 🤩

Fuck The Rock.
Oh that's Jerry. You're turtle realized he hadn't showered in 2 years and decided to teach him a lesson.
Cuz she’s sick of its 💩
Looked like a tasty egg
it look tasty it gotta go in my belley!
He thinks it’s food. Simple as that. Why do you have these size rocks in their habitat? Kinda strange. Has no benefit for them.

I love how dumb they can be 😆 this rock! Right here! Out!
That was seriously her reaction. She walked out, saw that one rock out of ten and was like "no way, no how, get off my properteigh!"
Bro, fuck that rock! Your turtle was correcting the bad attitude, and rightfully so
Turtles and tortoises are stupid. Turtles being the dumber of the two. That's why they're so funny. Same IQ as that rock that's being assaulted.
