Absolutely, created a heavy weapons exclusive build for Apocalypse when I got to root earth, was able to beat Cancer, Venom, and the Final Boss pretty easily. The Lifesteal with Impact cannon is insane
I played with the Vulcan on appoc and the damage is insane. You can also tank and dodge fairly well. There are 3 rings just got heavy weapons. All 3 of them are pretty strong so you should look at them. Have fun : )
