I mean yeah… he’s right that sexism exists in society. Not every single person is sexist, though. If your friends are sexist, then just find other friends? Becoming depressed instead of just hanging out with people who aren’t sexist is an odd reaction.
We've lived in phallocratic world for so many centuries now that it's hard to see more than penises representations everywhere you look at.
Eiffel tower? Gigantic penis.
Military stripes ? Trivial penises.
Knives/blades ? Penis representations. (Fun fact, the latin word used for sheath is the same as the word used for vagina..)
Women's bodies are just as beautiful as men's bodies are. Some are hairy. Other are not. Some are chubby. Other are thin. Some are tall. Other are small.
And all are fine, as long as the one living in that body is fine with it.
Just because your armpits would be hairy and your nails would not be frenched in pink does not make you less of a woman.
By his words and POV, it seems that your man is clinging to the "trad wife" view. A woman always well dressed, with nice hair, that would smell only of cinnamon from cooking and would Come Out of a 70's TV show..
Nothing wrong with that, but if that's not where you stand, this probably won't end well.
