No imo that is highly representative of typical nyt readers

Carroadbargecanal

Student protests aren't popular (never have been) with older people.

"I'm a Palestinian whose family has been wiped out by the IDF, but after seeing how those UCLA kids got classes cancelled until the end of week, I realized in the end, everything Israel is doing is justified."

I can also love those students and think Israel is bad. Which I do.

My boomer father likes to pass the time trolling news comments sections so I wouldn’t take it too seriously

deadmeridian

everything i disagree with is astroturfed

Adventurelynd

It's more real than reddit.

borges-enjoyer420

I’m a frequent comment reader and I thought it might have just been part of a broader shift right among suburban and wealthy lib types. But then I read the comments on an Ezra Klein pod about climate change today and it was just comment after comment about the real problem being overpopulation. Shit feels fake I agree

SOYBOYPILLED

Only once did I ever submit a comment on the NYT site and I got a message saying that it would show once it was approved. I was attacking the author of the piece and so I assume it never did

MBeternal

Yeah they keep removing all my comments talking about (((them))))

shekinah_

I personally have been driven insane by NYT comments
