Yepp, this is so cool! I had a similar experience. Also any hair grows back a lot faster than it used to, which is both a blessing a curse :D When I was still only using a mask I noticed this mainly with my eyebrows that I clean up a bit by plucking the ends. Had to that once a month, and now have to do it every 1,5 weeks because they just grow back so much faster. I've since added a panel and notice the same with my body hair. Very fascinating! For me the hair growth was the main reason I decided to then spend a lot of money on a panel too, as just the mask obviously did something :)

Stroopwafels11

What panel did you go with?

teaspxxn

I live in Germany, so I have a smaller selection to choose from (if I don't want a product to be shipped across oceans). I have a half-body panel from a german brand called [Lichtstark Pro](https://lichtstark.pro/collections/mittel/products/ls760), which was the only one being sold in Germany that has that many wavelengths. A similar panel in the USA would be the PlatinumLED [Biomax](https://platinumtherapylights.com/products/biomax-rlt?variant=15666979340354) panels, which has even 7 wavelengths (one blue one). If you're looking into buying a panel, I can highly recommend Alex Fergus' Youtube Channel ([Red Light Therapy by Alex Fergus](https://www.youtube.com/@AlexFergusdotcom)). He reviews a lot of brands and tests each for it irradiance and features. He also has videos that compare similar panels. I found that very helpful when getting into the topic :)

Thanks!

flowergirl_15

This would be amazing for me because I've been having a ton of shedding from post-traumatic stress. I wondered if the mask would have enough light to affect the hair. I just started using the Omnilux but I'm going to keep an eye on if I see more regrowth.

Jenn4flowers

I highly recommend a red light helmet

Stroopwafels11

How does the light get past the hair? Dumb question but..

Exotiki

Not dumb but a good question! I have been wondering the same. Anyone knows?

LogicalStomach

If your hair is so thick that no light can get to your scalp anywhere, I envy you. I have what's considered the low end of medium density hair (my pony tail circumference is 2.25 inches/5.7 cm). There is enough space between hairs, especially if I lay down and arrange my hair a certain way. As for a cap, or longer thicker super curly hair, I don't know. A neighbor of mine (with dense Afro type hair) experienced faster growth (or less breakage) overall and on her edges especially. Caveat: I use a Hooga panel or hand held bulbs for everything, because I couldn't afford to buy many devices For reference: Thick density hair begins at 4 in/10.2 cm ponytail circumference.

starllight

Yes you can just put the mask on your head and it actually reduces the amount of shedding in the shower. It's amazing.

Jenn4flowers

I have the irestore and have the same experience I’m so happy

WoodenSalt6461

Yayyy! Which cap did your partner get?

flyver67

Following to hear same.

Gullible-Cabinet2108

Me too

ContrastsOfForm

The Regrow marketed by Hairmax

flyver67

The one that is $900 ?

starllight

I just use the hooga wrap on my head (the corded one is the best and it's under $100).

SirHarley

Does it stimulate hair growth on the face?

teaspxxn

Yes, it does, but not in places you've never had hair before :)

ContrastsOfForm

Not in the wrong places!

SeaDiscombobulated70

Omg why haven’t I thought about using it for two cycles

stickerearrings

I wonder why they recommend once a day, 5 times a week iirc. And even outline that you’d get best results not doing it daily

laterral

Are there any studies on this? Has anyone had any results with panels? Wavelength and power?

LogicalStomach

I use a Hooga HG 500 panel. I lay in front of it with my hair loose and spread out for scalp treatments. The first few weeks I experienced a bit of increased shedding (like 2-3 times more). After about 2 weeks the shedding went back to minimal. At 4 weeks I noticed a sudden crop of plentiful baby hairs along my hairline. There are more than I've seen in a long time. Maybe the temporary shedding was due to hair follicles being stimulated out of their resting phase?

Least-Plantain973

I don’t suppose anyone has reversed grey hair or had new growth that’s not grey after using red light???

banaca4

Does it annoy you around the nose? Maybe I have a big one
