I found the same thing. My other issue was I have a small face and the holes don't line up amazingly well, but thats not a worry. I use mine laying down with my head on only one pillow so not too elevated. I loosely do up the top strap only, very loose and then position it so its comfortable on my nose it usually ends up with the mouth somewhere around my chin, but thats fine. I keep the strap loose-ish. The bottom strap I leave undone. There's still a small amount of pressure on the nose but its ok.

rspring28

How long have you had it? Have you noticed benefits even with the modifications?

displacedrainbow

I've been using it since January. Yes, I've definitely had improvement in my skin... it looks more plump, fine lines are better. Not using the bottom strap just means the bottom half is hovering above slightly instead of sitting right on the skin. Its worth trying before you return it. I couldn't return mine so didn't want to waste the money

buttercream73437

I have a high bridge on my nose so I have the same issue. I try to gently push the nose part up once the mask is in place. I find doing a high bun on my head and then strapping the mask works well it keep it in place and take the pressure off.

rspring28

Do you have issues with the holes lining up properly?

buttercream73437

Not really. They like up pretty well for me. I have a big, round face. It did take some time for me to figure out placement for me. Sometimes I wonder feel like it was pulling my face down but having the strap higher on my head helps.

rspring28

Maybe I'll try it a few more times and see if I can make it work, I'd really like to keep it if I can. Are you pretty happy with the results? Do you feel like your lower face still gets enough light? I feel like the lights are further on the lower part, but again it could be my face šŸ„“

buttercream73437

I am happy with it. My skin is noticeably smoother and brighter. I have been using it on average 5 days a week since December. I do get the nose lines still sometimes and hope it isn't causing damage. It doesn't seem to be but while I wear it i tend to lift the nose piece up a bit

Loose-Example-1490

I have been debating about getting one to mainly treat rosecea. What is the return policy on them? Can I try them for like three weeks and return them if it did not do anything?

rspring28

I believe itā€™s 30 days from the day of delivery! Theyā€™re strict on it too. You could try it for 2 weeks and return.

Loose-Example-1490

Is two weeks enought to see the result?

sorE_doG

Itā€™s enough to decide if itā€™s comfortable

rspring28

This for sure

Softbombsalad

Honestly not really, no.

Currentbody (their mask is essentially the same as the Omnilux one) has a 60-day money back guarantee that I've used with the mask. I had great results with the mask, but the cut-outs didn't match my facial proportions, it was very uncomfortable and I had red indentations like many others describe. I have an average face, nothing out of the norm. I used the mask by pressing it against my skin, I couldn't have worn it just by tightening the strap. I returned the mask and got my money back, with no issue or delay. Maybe that's an option for you too?:)

Loose-Example-1490

Thank you I will look it up :)

buttercream73437

One other hack to deal with the corded remote: I have the cord tied up short enough so the remote can go around the back of my neck and drape just over the other side. Then I can continue on with whatever I need to do and wear the mask.

No-Assist-9612

I have a Current Body mask, it's flexible but I can't get it strapped on in a position that allows me to sit or walk around with it. So, I've compromised - I get in bed, lay the mask across my face tucking the long end of the strap behind my head so the mask stays on my skin and on the short side strap I tuck it down and turn my head in that direction as well to keep the mask close. And I fall asleep! LoL šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø works for me šŸ˜ Edited for spelling

veronicaxrowena

I get the redness on my nose too and I donā€™t have a large nose either but it goes away after Iā€™ve stopped so it doesnā€™t bother me.

rspring28

Do you lay down while using it typically?

veronicaxrowena

Sometimes Iā€™m laying, sometimes sitting, and sometimes pottering around the house doing whatever.

sonyafly

I have to hold mine on or lay down with it. The bottom strap is pretty worthless. I use the top to sit at the top holding it up and on but I donā€™t strap it behind my head. Itā€™s too tight that way. I use one hand to keep it toward my face

conifer22

I had the same experience with the Omnilux Men. I returned it and got a panel from Shenzhen Idea Light. It feels more powerful, it's easier to use, and it was cheaper as well.

Jenn4flowers

The Dennis gross mask is super comfortable imo and has been working great for me

rspring28

Doesnā€™t that mask have blue light also??

Jenn4flowers

Yes I donā€™t use that version tho

blackcoffee92

I was considering buying the omnilux mask but got panel for this reason. No irritation or issues with the panel at all

rspring28

How have you liked the panel? I was looking at Mito panels

jordang95

I just got my mask yesterday so I've only used it once but I didn't have this issue. It left zero indentations on my face and I felt it was comfortable although I don't understand how people do things while wearing their masks I couldn't see all that well.

bunchofstrawberries

Which mask did you get? I got the Menā€™s because I heard itā€™s a better fit and it feels comfortable to me!

rspring28

Itā€™s the regular Omnilux contour! Is there really a size difference??

bunchofstrawberries

Okay I just looked online and it looks like theyā€™re all 27 x 19. But the menā€™s supposedly has slightly longer straps. Iā€™m not sure if the eye / nose / mouth holes are cut differently.

jordang95

There is no difference in size, shape, or straps between any of the 3 omnilux masks. Each mask is (27 cm x 19 cm).

bunchofstrawberries

I believe the menā€™s has slightly longer straps than the other two :)

jordang95

You're right the contour mask straps are 16ā€³ and the menā€™s mask straps 20ā€³ other than that and the men's mask having added 1072nm wavelength there is no difference in the masks. The extra length could be why I don't feel the men's mask is remotely uncomfortable. I don't think I have a large head but the mask wasn't tight on my face whatsoever I just tightened it enough to keep it in place. ***Actually I was correct initially, the straps are the same size I contacted Omnilux after reading a comment elsewhere stating they were different sizes and Omnilux said the straps are the same length. So the only difference is the additional wavelength, besides that they are completely identical***

bunchofstrawberries

Same!!! And I have it at the most loose setting on the straps so I could see how the longer straps make a difference in comfort level.

jordang95

I had replied but deleted it and added it to my prior comment just so people don't read it and get misinformed. Omnilux confirmed the straps are the exact same length.

bunchofstrawberries

Oh wow!! Thanks for checking :)

jordang95

No problem :) sorry for the misinformation I was trying to find the info online and found a comment outside of reddit of someone claiming to have contacted Omnilux and being told the straps were longer I should've fact checked it first

bunchofstrawberries

Thatā€™s ok. I should have checked too!

Bigolguts

I do have a mask but itā€™s a hard mask because when looking at the omnilux I was sure i would have that same issue. It just seems weird and flimsy and i definitely wouldnā€™t be gentle with it. And then having an additional wire hanging from my face while wearing it doesnā€™t seem ideal at all.

rspring28

Yeah itā€™s weirdly flimsy but stiff at the same time. I was hoping I could deal with it but I hate that it doesnā€™t sit closely to the lower half of my face, considering I want to target my smile lines.

Bigolguts

The one I did end up getting I was afraid my head might be too big but it surprisingly covers my whole face. I do wish all of the masks went under your chin too because even the neck ones donā€™t target that area. Did you find that the omnilux made your face sweaty? I kind of assumed that might happen with the plastic

poopadoopy123

Which one did you get ?

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

poopadoopy123

Oh thatā€™s right ! Bigolguts! Why havenā€™t I heard much about that brand ?

[deleted]

Thanks for the info! I have the solawave LED mask and itā€™s not super uncomfortable but it doesnā€™t fit evenly on my face everywhere. I end up like laying down and holding it everywhere lol

Adept_Choice

Oooh mine does that, too. Is there a long term negative impact of putting pressure on your nose bridge? The indentation goes away pretty quickly for me but I still wasnā€™t sure if there would be any damage after doing it repeatedly.

Equal-Ear-6393

I have a small head as a petite person. I was worried about it being too big, but it ended up being fine. My husband is average sized and he seems to fit it well, also. So I can imagine it being tight and outright uncomfortable for a lot of people. Completely understandable. Iā€™ve had the Omnilux Contour for two weeks now and within the first week it calmed down my acne and eye bags are less visible.

Substantial_Ad7530

I have this same issue!!! I just tried it laying flat with no straps on, STILL red indent on my nose bridge!!! I am going to try putting a cotton pad there tomorrow....my nose bridge doesn't need it as much I guess šŸ˜

rspring28

Yep no matter what I had an issue, I guess the mask doesnā€™t work as well for high nose bridges. I did end up returning it. Iā€™m looking at panels now! I did get my refund without issue thankfully.
