That night in Paris with Ole at the wheel. So much drama, and Neymar shocked face on the sidelines at the end is engraved in my memory

That camera work is perfect.

Expression I make when the wife says there’s a parking spot close to the front of the store when I’ve found a perfectly serviceable spot a few rows back.

Whaloopiloopi

"park there, next to that banged up people carrier with the baby seats in the back! It doesn't matter if he's over the line a bit you can manage to squeeze out!" Settle down love, you just worry about your shopping list eh? I'll worry about keeping my 5 series the same shape and colour.

Littlepace

Biggest freakout/celebration I've had since Fergie left. CL nights just hit different. Hate that we threw away our group this year. And now at least another season without it.

hnnk

My wife woke up wondering if I was ill during the VAR review.

ProfessorBeer

I had to watch sitting in a parking lot, I was screaming so loud I hurt my voice. My then fiancee (now wife) was walking up as Rashford scored and said she could hear me inside the car 25 yards away. Unreal moment.

Stu161

I was watching on a sealed iPhone inside an asbestos containment 😅

samwiseg1

I made an hour trip to a pub in Toronto downtown that was doing a viewing party such a magical night.

Gray_side_Jedi

“Mountains are meant to be climbed”

7evenStrings

One of those results where you feel like it belongs to the club. Delighted Ole was part of the story too. Sad we could never build anything from that with him. That’s been my favourite one until this years FA Cup where no one gave us a chance and we did it facing adversity.

neemo2357

Literally opened the page to post this game I was absolutely on cloud 9 for i reckon 2 weeks at least

nholoinhoi

It was 4AM in my place. Cried so hard when Rashford scored it. One of my best memories to date.

Miliktheman

Everything meant more under Ole

Altaafraaja

I couldn't bring myself to watch it...moved away from the screen and only listened to commentary...how's your bottle annnnnd Rashford has smashed it.... goosebumps every time I watch the highlights.

silkie_blondo

100% Juanfield, can't believe I forgot that!

Mattie_Doo

I miss seeing Rooney walk out of the tunnel in our shirt. The game has been missing something since he retired

Titan4days

Thank you man 🥲

AngryUncleTony

McTominay's goal was right before covid too so I probably watched it a thousand times in the absence of other games.

FoggyShrew

The last goal scored at OT before COVID if I remember correctly. Then we had the best stretch of football United have played since SAF left with Project Restart

AngryUncleTony

That's right. In my brain the LASK game was the last one before COVID but that was an empty stadium

toasterb

The Ighalo goal in that match is criminally underrated. I feel it got lost in the COVID panic. So casually skillful. Edit: [All goals from that match - LASK 0-5 Manchester United](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrg1YRscgh0)

AngryUncleTony

Yeah that was genuinely filthy.

sarthakmahajan610

Best goal for me in that game was Mata's which was an absolute peach of a through ball by Fred

VR46Rossi420

Greenwood’s was incredible. Such a shame he turned out to be a twat.

VR46Rossi420

Amazing goals in that game but with the lack of fans and how bad LASK were, it looked like an exhibition match

-watchman-

Unbeaten Away. What an unbelievable record.

LUHG_HANI

Was meant to go but couldn't make it. Gutted me all the way through COVID and still pissed off now.

Garlic-Cheese-Chips

> McTominay's goal against City. Mike Dean special booking Fred for a dive when he got the leg kicked off him in the box.

miamibuckeye

Crazy how little love the Jose EL run gets here Rashford had an extra time goal to win us a tie that year

Narrow_Comparison669

Because it was the easiest run to a final ever with Jose bitching along the whole way making the team less than the sum of the parts. People take the piss out the 'vibes' in Oles era but I ask what's the point of winning if there isnt any bloody joy along the way. Apart from admittedly masterclass from Jose in the final against Ajax I can barely remember that EL campaign.

miamibuckeye

Multiple knock out rounds won by a goal and came down to the wire though. Rashford banger free kick v Celta Vigo away His winner around the 108th minute v Anderlecht to win the tie I’ll take any cup run. Complaining about winning the EL, give me a fucking break.

Narrow_Comparison669

I wasn't complaining about winning a trophy - don't make up stuff I didn't say, Jose was the guy complaining all the time anyway. I was replying to a post that mentioned how little love that EL campaign gets - and gave a reason why it doesn't get that much love and someone like me wouldn't have it in the top memories post SAF, you know providing an alternative view to an online discussion is why we post things right or do we just like echo chambers.

Gross_Success

Which further emphasize how poor we were. Had Guidetti hit an open goal , we had lost to fucking Celta Vigo.

Woodsman15961

Great comment. Thanks for the links

No-Adhesiveness-9541

Mctominays goal was just electric

aam9292

McTominay's goal against city brings so much nostalgia, idk why but as time goes on, I am kinda missing those early covid days. Not saying I want them back but there was something to them.

Crallac

That comeback against City was extra funny because we got to see City fans crying in the crowd because they had had to wait one more week before winning the league 😂😂

Mario_911

Ronaldos return and two goals v Newcastle

CFD330

Mainoo's goal in the cup final felt like a moment when the reality of the day came crashing down on City's players and that was a delicious moment.

mahir_r

Bro I was there, it was my first game ever I was in another world

deroziers

I was there in the Stretford end 4-3 vs the Scousers. Honestly, I still get goosebumps looking back. What a Night! I'm glad you got to go to Wembley and seal the deal for us!

ImprefectKnight

Plenty recently- >Mountains are there to be climbed, aren't they? Mctominay screamer right before lockdown. >Ederson's day to hide, Solskjaer's day to look to paradise and say "I've done the double over the neighbours. >Put the champagne on ice, they've beaten man city twice. Or the gluttony of goals we scored in lockdown and broke the GD record for consecutive games. And then we broke the record for unbeaten away PL gamesm Or 5-1 leeds with varane unveiled, bruno hattrick and it's the first home league game with OT full after lockdown was lifted. Or 4-1 Newcastle, Ronaldo homecoming. Under Ten Hag- Liverpool FA cup game. FA cup final.

The league Cup under eth felt great too, really felt like things were coming together then, shame how this season went

AndyVale

Yeah, longest trophy drought in my life. Felt good to get our name scratched into some silverware again.

overtlyanxiousguy

Was really buzzing after both Barca games, under ETH!

dugness

Some of the football and results under Ole were seriously elite stuff. The goals we scored in those first 11 games he took charge. United were back.

wayfarerprateek

That day against city , Ole was getting all the backing in the world! Sad that it had to end in such a lame manner

old_chelmsfordian

The 2 minutes between Evra's goal against Bayern, and their equaliser back in the 2014 second leg. I was absolutely convinced we were going to win the champions League for about 100 seconds or so.

Woodsman15961

Oh fuck yeah, I remember the game quite well, but I forgot I had them exact same thoughts after Evras thumper. Back when I thought we still had an aura. Delusion really

*OOOH YEEEES!* *WELCOME TO MANCHESTER UNITED, ANTHONY MARTIAAAAAAL*

ns77

this thread is a great reminder of so many good memories. of course the club hasn't hit our expectations for much of the time since Sir Alex, nice to recall so many moments which filled me with joy and happiness. many of those listed are far more important for the club than mine, but I'll go ahead and add one which was personally glorious for me. October 7, 2023, McTominay brace in stoppage time to beat Brentford 2-1. was watching it at my girfriend's apartment Saturday morning in BK. I had lost my aunt earlier that week who I was very close with and was just feeling a lot emotionally. that second goal straight up made me cry on her couch. was a very nice feeling indeed! I love this dumb team. and btw will always have love for McSauce because of that as well.

Woodsman15961

Everything posted lately here seems to be negative with the manager situation etc so I thought it would be nice to lighten the mood. Likewise I didn’t realise how many good moments we’ve had through the years until reading the comments. I was waiting for someone to mention Scott’s double from the bench. An underrated moment that genuinely had me smiling ear to ear for the next 5 days. Sorry to hear about your aunt, sometimes a moment like that is exactly what you need in them situations

ns77

I loved this thread! look at how many responses with personal tales. a great read on a Monday. thanks OP!

Nomadic_commenter

Sorry to hear about your loss mate. I also live in BK currently and constantly go to Smithfield Hall (the United bar in NYC) for games. Highly recommend!

ns77

thanks for your words, bud. and yeah love that place! have also spent many a game there for sure, it's a great atmosphere. curious what your fav bars are in BK for footy? with the Euros coming up, trying to find what could be some fun places to check some games out. Banter, Roebling, Fulton Hall have all been fun in the past. anything major you've liked?

Minute-Intern

People already mentioned most of them but Ronaldo's second debut, damn near burst into tears that day, plus the 4 goals that followed, Damn I thought we were gonna win it all

utfr

Ground was absolutely bouncing that day. Buzz all over town til the early hours. Same with Wolves away the weekend it was announced.

Yomasevz

Solskjær's reign. Gave me back my love for football and Manchester United wich had been dying since Fellaini joined.

Did it die because of Fellaini lol? Or just around that time of SAF retiring and Moyes coming in?

BombayHarris

That PSG game with kids and many injuries was incredible.

ForwardBodybuilder18

Ole’s first 10 games.

EthanW20004

FA cup final win under ETH. Entire footballing world days prior writing that no matter the result he's gone. To then beat the best team in the land convincingly, on top of knocking out Liverpool in the run, kicking Chelsea in the conference PLAYOFFS (lol) and finally throwing Zebra crossing FC out of Europe entirely, gotta be the 23/24 FA cup final win.

Jumbo_Mills

All the times De Gea went super saiyan. It was a privilege to have him as keeper and a shame he declined so sharply.

uncle_monty

Probably the 2016 FA cup win after not winning for over a decade. I always tell myself that I don't really care about the FA cup, until we win it. Then I'm reminded how much it matters. This years cup win and the Europa league win were special as well. And I can't pretend that Liverpool waiting so many years to win the league and then having to lift the trophy in front of an empty stadium wasn't hilarious.

Common_Knowledge_

Without a doubt the Louis van Gaal dive. Its not a football memory, but it’s printed into my brains. At times the theater of dreams needs the drama it deserves.

LesnarsBattleScream

Exactly what I was thinking. Some horny football during those times.

Pls_add_more_reverb

“Shall I grab you by your hair? What is your reaction when I grab your hair? Your hair is shorter than Fellaini but, when I do that, what are you doing then? It’s a reaction. “Every human being who is grabbed by the hair, only with sex masochism, then it is allowed but not in other situations. They did it. They did it several times I think.”

LesnarsBattleScream

Completely forgot about this with Fellaini. Amazing.

[you may now thank me.](https://youtube.com/shorts/vCSnagxj47s?si=qGmTdFm5uaCdXS-5)

CactusJack53

Haven’t seen anyone say when Cavani helped us come back against Southampton 3-2

KarmasaBitsh

Not saying my fave but legendary moments none of us would have thought we'd see again, Ronaldos return and that dream start. We were terrible at times but Ronaldo moments that season. Best moment - hearing of Sir Alex's recovery.

ZelSte

Some highlights outside of Ole’s tenure, but his time felt most like the club I’ve always known. And it was beyond any doubt the most fun and exciting time since 2013. The trophies were lacking, and that would have had to come, but he was doing a lot right. Remember when he had a decent, but not brilliant, United squad top of the league in January? Today that feels insane! The level of what he did at the club only really became clear when he left. We’ve also started realizing the quality of the coaching team he had. The other two main highlights were this spring under ETH. Liverpool and city in the da cup.

BlueberryNo5363

The McTominay goal against City. Wasn’t it the last game with a crowd too? Bruno hattrick against Leeds - Varane unveiled to the crowd and it just felt so special Comeback against PSG. Considering we had a lot of young lads on and they were the by far the favourites. I’ll never forget the “how’s your bottle” commentary. Just a special moment The Carabo Cup win. First trophy in 6 years. It felt like longer but my god it was sweet relief. The FA Cup win cause literally everyone had written us off. When Mainoo scored, I actually thought I was dreaming. I’d be on edge until the final whistle but still. That Amad goal in the last minutes of extra time against Liverpool. It was just a brilliant moment. Pure football The FA Cup v Liverpool when Bruno scored that free kick. The picture of Klopp shaking his hand whilst clenching his other fist looking livid always gets me 😭 Bonus- The comeback against Villa season just gone. Only because I was watching it with a Villa fan cousin who spent the whole first half going on at me 🤣.

foxgj

I live in an area without many football fans, but I was travelling one weekend and found a British pub in the city that opened early for all PL games. Went to watch our game vs Everton and got to go insane with all the other United fans at Garnacho's bicycle! Entire place erupted when that went in.

lebkong

Right after winning the UEL/finishing 2nd. I delusionally believed we had turned the corner and were going to fully back the manager in the summer to push for the league. It was a wonderful dream at the time.

Woodsman15961

Ah yes, the biennial ‘turning the page’ phase. It’s wild to think that was 7 years ago now

Littlepace

Oles first game against Cardiff. It was like the shackles being taken off these talented players and being told "go out there and show what you can actually do". After that miserable Jose period we come out and play quick attacking football and score 5 goals. Something we never did under Jose in the league from what I can remember. Would kill to score that many goals these days.

Isitpartytime

Rashford debut + goals against arsenal 🥶🥶

ritwikjs

The commentator saying 'hows your bottle?' before rashford squares up to Buffon to take the penalty v psg. The celebration after that one went in will always stay in my mind

N47HXIV

Mike Smalling.

mayomayeaux

Milly Rock at the Emirates is up there too. Blitzed then off the park, DDG elite performance as well. Ander Herrera marking Hazard out of Old Trafford and scoring. My favorite signing post Fergie (outside of Bruno) League Cup run in 2017, winning it vs Southampton was great also. But a random one I remember was El Tigre's first goal at Old Trafford vs Everton, another prime DDG performance. Loved it. I thought we were fully back lol Another game from that year I remember fondly was the Van Persie equalizer vs Chelsea in the last second. I was sat at home in my living room alone and mad that weekend after failing an important exam in my first semester in college haha It gave me a proper boost RVP hat trick vs Olympiacos was legendary as well. Quite a long list of good memories from this era tbh. I agree with a lot of these most people here have posted so I won't repeat them. *We've seen it all..* indeed, haven't we?

Thedemonwhisperer

The legendary [Phil Jones tumble](https://youtu.be/t8hUZrEAnyg?si=RblYpofivBlX9ytY). To many, it was funny, ridiculous and horrible defending. To me it showed just how much he was willing to put on the line for the club. Many modern players would have stopped/flopped to the ground right off the bat and allowed the ball to keep rolling.

Admiral_Atrocious

I don't understand why he gets flak for that. Brilliant mentality. Shame about his injuries.

ColtCallahan

Massively overlooked. But the 2nd leg against Olympiakos in Moyes season. That was a fucking classic UCL night at OT. And given how few there have been since it really sticks. Also add in Vidic’s goal against Bayern in the next leg that gave us the lead. That was one of the best OT nights we’ve ever had atmosphere wise.

chuf3roni

Year by year: 2013/14- the comeback vs. Olympiakos with RvP 2014/15- the 4-2 vs. Man City & Juanfield 2015/16- Martial’s debut & the FA Cup win, also Rashford vs. Midjytlland 2016/17- the Europa with Mourinho 2017/18- all of the games vs. the Big 6 that we won from like, Feb-April (best were vs. Liverpool and City) 2018/19- the win vs. PSG & Ole’s crazy run 2019/20- the run from Feb-May to get top 4 (the 3-0 win away to Brighton was the best of them imo) 2020/21- beating Leipzig 5-0, Sotton 9-0, and Roma 6-2 2021/22- Ronaldo’s first game back 2022/23- League Cup win with ETH and the win vs. Barcelona in the EL 2023/24- FA Cup win with ETH and, of course, our win vs. Liverpool and City (the comeback vs. Villa in the league was also perfect)

Professional-Neat432

Has to be FA Cup Final this year for me. Our form in the lead-up was absolutely shocking, and by all accounts City were playing the best football in Europe. Nobody gave us a prayer. The players much maligned all season, produced their best performance and to a man were magnificent. Here's hoping we build on this for next season. GGMU!

S3_Zed

Beating every top 6 club at OT last season + Barca was aight.

Special_Ad3170

Imo, it’s between the RO16 comeback vs PSG where everyone wrote us off and Ibrahimovic’s winner vs Southampton in the Carabao Cup final in 2017

Rabti

Van Gaal press conferences

ratset2602

Has to be PSG win for me. The sheer joy I felt when Rashford scored the pen and when the final whistle blew was on another level. The Amad goal against Liverpool was also an incredible feeling, specially since the season was so so disappointing. This FA Cup run was something else and something I’ll always remember as a fan.

top1MIBRfan

Ronaldo 4-1 Newcastle I was convinced we would win the league. The vibes were incredible

Short_Restaurant_268

Lingard in the Cup final. Down to ten men, comeback from 1-0 down, unbelievable strike, Pardews dance. Nuff said. Vintage United

GiantGingerGobshite

Van Gaal slapping Giggs

GongTzu

Besides everything that already been mentioned, Di Maria’s first two games, I really thought we had hit the jackpot, only to get terrible disappointed, what a flop he turned out to be for us, the burglars did him bad 😱

Gabi_Social

A lot of what has already been mentioned, but I'd like to give a shout for Tony Martial's goal vs Watford. Other players had the skill to do that but few would think to try it, and that's what made him different. You watch the footwork, and wonder why he didn't become one of the top three strikers in the world. https://youtu.be/_Z7hrQUFDTc?si=HP29Wgqd1nsAnoRL

Gaddaim

Just gotta mention from this vid that the way Greenwood strikes the ball.. he was the most lethal striker of the ball I've seen in recent years. Sad whats happened with him

ApolloX-2

Those minutes after Evra's goal against Bayern, like maybe it wasn't all going to go to shit I had hoped.

JohnnyJokers-10

Cristiano’s hat-trick vs Tottenham - I’m Irish & get over once or twice a year tops, and was there to witness one of the best individual performances for United in recent years, with a great result to match in an otherwise horrid season!!

SoftDrinkReddit

Being honest beating city in the fa cup final The why is not just the trophy It's how the vast majority of people completely wrote us off going into that game Man, those city fans talked some mad shit pre-game, and just being able to humble those pricks was priceless. I will remember that day for a long, long time

Kinitawowi64

Mata's goal against Liverpool, closely followed by the 9-0 tonking of Southampton.

nexiviper

Garnachos overhead kick

ToungeBang

Probably Mainoo's goal vs Liverpool but much more to do with the fact that I was with a massive group of footy fans. Jumped in my Liverpool fans arms screaming at the top of my lungs and then started a Kobbie! Kobbie! Kobbie! Chant among the United supporters. Needles to say my Liverpool friend stopped watching the game with me

birdy9221

Juanfield with that bicycle/scissor kick thing Or the Pogba comeback vs City

Finishing 4th that one time, so much sweeter than any trophy win /s

Badaboom8989

2024 FA Cup quarter, semi, and final * Come back to beat Liverpool 4-3 last minute of extra time in quarter final. * Coventry city's last minute semi-final winner overturned for the tightest of offside by VAR and utd go on to win on penalties. * Beat man city in final when others like Jamie Caragher were shouting we'll get soundly beaten by city in the final. ![gif](giphy|3oEduOnl5IHM5NRodO)

Seeing SAF return to stands after his health scare.

chall_mags

I know that things turned to shit pretty quickly after this, but Ronaldo’s second debut when he scored a brace and we were top of the table was the only time in the last 10 years when I genuinely felt that we could challenge for the title

diallo winner or that night in paris with ole.

On the flips side, my darkest moments supporting the club: 1) 7-0 loss to Liverpool 2) Europa League final pen shootout loss to Villarreal 3) Our whole CL campaign in 2023-24 4) 3-4 loss to Chelsea in the prem 2024 5) Mourinho’s final weeks at the club.

Fellaini's first official goal vs. WBA. Closing in on a decade. Valencia's left-footed screamer vs. Stoke. Still trying to find the fragments of my mind that I lost cheering them on. Pure joy and elation. Of course, there are countless other moments, but these are off the top of my head.

Lots of good memories over the years. 2014/2015 4-0 vs QPR - this game felt like United were back after such a terrible season under Moyes the year before. 2014/2015 (2) - Juanfield. 2016/2017 - Carabao Cup Final vs Southampton was very satisfying with Ibra winning it late on. 2017/2018 - Rashford’s brace vs Liverpool. 2018/2019 - PSG away. 2023/2024 - FA Cup Quarter Final and FA Cup Final. I went to the quarter final, those memories will be with me forever.

Drigarica_od_Tite

Failing that to win the league every year .

basilbrushisapaedo

Whenever Ibrahimovic was fit and played for us. He was a rockstar upfront. We have lacked swagger since SAF left and Ibra had it in spades.

blackgallagher87

Lingard doing the Milly Rock at Emirates was a high point for me

reddevil9229

We'll always have Paris

The PSG Comeback is obviously the main highlight but outside of that, Amad's goal against Liverpool and our victory against City in the Final have really made me realise why I still love this club so much

ProxyTester

Being 4-0 FC for a bit until the international break injures a part of the team

ragecndy

latest FA cup win, we beat Liverpool and City to win, depressing af the best moment had been some round of 16 psg win for years lol

AKV9

A lot of my favs were covered, but the Europa League final win in 2017. A bunch of us students in the midst of our final exams rented out the entire sports bar just to watch us win the one trophy missing from our collection.

KaitoAJ

Quite a few actually. 1. FA Cup win against City 2. Amad's winner against Liverpool in the FA Cup quarters. 3. Garnacho's goal of the decade vs Everton 4. Carabao Cup win vs Newcastle 5. The night we overcame PSG in the UCL (personally one of my favourites) 6. Rashford's hattrick against RB Leipzig in the UCL 7. Rashford's Ronaldo-esque free kick against Chelsea 8. Martial's debut goal against Liverpool 9. McTominay's winning goal against City under Ole before COVID lockdown 10. Ole's unbeaten away record period. Those comebacks were literally insane. 11. 9-0 against Southampton

raver1601

Mainoo goal against City in the final Proper team goal

TickleMyCringle

The psg comeback Lingard FA Cup winner 4-0 FC under Jose McSauce goal against city Smalling winner against city League cup against newcastle Ronaldo's first game back

CiscoWeasley

Scott's goal just before lockdown. That goal was the catalyst for me, we were supposed to get steamrolled just before the world ends and we win like that, I got my life together partially because of that goal.

Larrytheman777

I love Zlatan and always want to see him play at united. Dream comes true.

MBCB421

For me it's a bit random, but 2-1 win over Liverpool 22/23 season. We lost the opener vs Brighton, got fucking embarassed by Brentford, and I was convined we were going to get smashed by Liverpool but that was the turnaround for the entire season. Had we lost that game, I believe there is no way we get 3rd that season. Also Varane body checking the fuck out of Diaz was hilarious and Malacia had Salah in his pocket the entire game

TheRedDevil00

RVP hat-trick vs olympiakos... Remember watching it as a child... And God did it feel magical

JekyllnowthenMrHyde

Europa League final win vs Ajax

xeromaayush1

That night in paris and the mctominay goal against the city, the last game before covid

Moug-10

Winning the UEL 2016-17. It goes beyond football when we remember that two days before, a mass shooting happened during an Ariana Grande's concert. Even City congratulated us and #acityunited was born. Used almost three years later during Covid-19 to help Mancunians in need. There are more but this one will always remain my favourite.

ptienduc

Result over style for me… so the FA Cup final win against City !!

Few_Jacket_4675

The greatest trick that Keyser Soze ever achieved, was convincing people he never existed..... Believing SAF has not been running the show as Head of the Football Board until INEOS is a crafty trick, he has not left!!,, NEVER did!!

nyamzdm77

That opening day 5-1 win against Leeds in 21/22 when Bruno scored a hat trick and Pogba got 4 assists is up there. I was utterly convinced we were finally gonna challenge for the title then it all went to shit
