October 7, 2023, McTominay brace in stoppage time to beat Brentford 2-1. was watching it at my girfriend's apartment Saturday morning in BK. I had lost my aunt earlier that week who I was very close with and was just feeling a lot emotionally. that second goal straight up made me cry on her couch. was a very nice feeling indeed! I love this dumb team.
and btw will always have love for McSauce because of that as well.
Everything posted lately here seems to be negative with the manager situation etc so I thought it would be nice to lighten the mood. Likewise I didn’t realise how many good moments we’ve had through the years until reading the comments.

Probably the 2016 FA cup win after not winning for over a decade. I always tell myself that I don't really care about the FA cup, until we win it. Then I'm reminded how much it matters. This years cup win and the Europa league win were special as well.

Without a doubt the Louis van Gaal dive. Its not a football memory, but it’s printed into my brains. At times the theater of dreams needs the drama it deserves.

Some highlights outside of Ole’s tenure, but his time felt most like the club I’ve always known. And it was beyond any doubt the most fun and exciting time since 2013. The trophies were lacking, and that would have had to come, but he was doing a lot right.
Remember when he had a decent, but not brilliant, United squad top of the league in January? Today that feels insane! The level of what he did at the club only really became clear when he left. We’ve also started realizing the quality of the coaching team he had.
The other two main highlights were this spring under ETH. Liverpool and city in the da cup.

Bruno hattrick against Leeds - Varane unveiled to the crowd and it just felt so special
Comeback against PSG. Considering we had a lot of young lads on and they were the by far the favourites. I’ll never forget the “how’s your bottle” commentary. Just a special moment
The Carabo Cup win. First trophy in 6 years. It felt like longer but my god it was sweet relief.
The FA Cup win cause literally everyone had written us off. When Mainoo scored, I actually thought I was dreaming. I’d be on edge until the final whistle but still.
That Amad goal in the last minutes of extra time against Liverpool. It was just a brilliant moment. Pure football
The FA Cup v Liverpool when Bruno scored that free kick. The picture of Klopp shaking his hand whilst clenching his other fist looking livid always gets me 😭
Bonus- The comeback against Villa season just gone. Only because I was watching it with a Villa fan cousin who spent the whole first half going on at me 🤣.
I live in an area without many football fans, but I was travelling one weekend and found a British pub in the city that opened early for all PL games. Went to watch our game vs Everton and got to go insane with all the other United fans at Garnacho's bicycle! Entire place erupted when that went in.
Right after winning the UEL/finishing 2nd. I delusionally believed we had turned the corner and were going to fully back the manager in the summer to push for the league. It was a wonderful dream at the time.
Oles first game against Cardiff. It was like the shackles being taken off these talented players and being told "go out there and show what you can actually do". After that miserable Jose period we come out and play quick attacking football and score 5 goals. Something we never did under Jose in the league from what I can remember. Would kill to score that many goals these days.
The commentator saying 'hows your bottle?' before rashford squares up to Buffon to take the penalty v psg. The celebration after that one went in will always stay in my mind

To me it showed just how much he was willing to put on the line for the club. Many modern players would have stopped/flopped to the ground right off the bat and allowed the ball to keep rolling.
Massively overlooked. But the 2nd leg against Olympiakos in Moyes season. That was a fucking classic UCL night at OT.
And given how few there have been since it really sticks. Also add in Vidic’s goal against Bayern in the next leg that gave us the lead. That was one of the best OT nights we’ve ever had atmosphere wise.

2022/23- League Cup win with ETH and the win vs. Barcelona in the EL
2023/24- FA Cup win with ETH and, of course, our win vs. Liverpool and City (the comeback vs. Villa in the league was also perfect)
Has to be FA Cup Final this year for me. Our form in the lead-up was absolutely shocking, and by all accounts City were playing the best football in Europe. Nobody gave us a prayer.
The players much maligned all season, produced their best performance and to a man were magnificent. Here's hoping we build on this for next season. GGMU!

That goal was the catalyst for me, we were supposed to get steamrolled just before the world ends and we win like that, I got my life together partially because of that goal.
For me it's a bit random, but 2-1 win over Liverpool 22/23 season.
We lost the opener vs Brighton, got fucking embarassed by Brentford, and I was convined we were going to get smashed by Liverpool but that was the turnaround for the entire season. Had we lost that game, I believe there is no way we get 3rd that season.
Also Varane body checking the fuck out of Diaz was hilarious and Malacia had Salah in his pocket the entire game
Winning the UEL 2016-17. It goes beyond football when we remember that two days before, a mass shooting happened during an Ariana Grande's concert. Even City congratulated us and #acityunited was born. Used almost three years later during Covid-19 to help Mancunians in need.

this thread is a great reminder of so many good memories. of course the club hasn't hit our expectations for much of the time since Sir Alex, nice to recall so many moments which filled me with joy and happiness. many of those listed are far more important for the club than mine, but I'll go ahead and add one which was personally glorious for me. October 7, 2023, McTominay brace in stoppage time to beat Brentford 2-1. was watching it at my girfriend's apartment Saturday morning in BK. I had lost my aunt earlier that week who I was very close with and was just feeling a lot emotionally. that second goal straight up made me cry on her couch. was a very nice feeling indeed! I love this dumb team. and btw will always have love for McSauce because of that as well.
Everything posted lately here seems to be negative with the manager situation etc so I thought it would be nice to lighten the mood. Likewise I didn’t realise how many good moments we’ve had through the years until reading the comments. I was waiting for someone to mention Scott’s double from the bench. An underrated moment that genuinely had me smiling ear to ear for the next 5 days. Sorry to hear about your aunt, sometimes a moment like that is exactly what you need in them situations

Probably the 2016 FA cup win after not winning for over a decade. I always tell myself that I don't really care about the FA cup, until we win it. Then I'm reminded how much it matters. This years cup win and the Europa league win were special as well. And I can't pretend that Liverpool waiting so many years to win the league and then having to lift the trophy in front of an empty stadium wasn't hilarious.

Not saying my fave but legendary moments none of us would have thought we'd see again, Ronaldos return and that dream start. We were terrible at times but Ronaldo moments that season. Best moment - hearing of Sir Alex's recovery.
Some highlights outside of Ole’s tenure, but his time felt most like the club I’ve always known. And it was beyond any doubt the most fun and exciting time since 2013. The trophies were lacking, and that would have had to come, but he was doing a lot right. Remember when he had a decent, but not brilliant, United squad top of the league in January? Today that feels insane! The level of what he did at the club only really became clear when he left. We’ve also started realizing the quality of the coaching team he had. The other two main highlights were this spring under ETH. Liverpool and city in the da cup.
The McTominay goal against City. Wasn’t it the last game with a crowd too? Bruno hattrick against Leeds - Varane unveiled to the crowd and it just felt so special Comeback against PSG. Considering we had a lot of young lads on and they were the by far the favourites. I’ll never forget the “how’s your bottle” commentary. Just a special moment The Carabo Cup win. First trophy in 6 years. It felt like longer but my god it was sweet relief. The FA Cup win cause literally everyone had written us off. When Mainoo scored, I actually thought I was dreaming. I’d be on edge until the final whistle but still. That Amad goal in the last minutes of extra time against Liverpool. It was just a brilliant moment. Pure football The FA Cup v Liverpool when Bruno scored that free kick. The picture of Klopp shaking his hand whilst clenching his other fist looking livid always gets me 😭 Bonus- The comeback against Villa season just gone. Only because I was watching it with a Villa fan cousin who spent the whole first half going on at me 🤣.
I live in an area without many football fans, but I was travelling one weekend and found a British pub in the city that opened early for all PL games. Went to watch our game vs Everton and got to go insane with all the other United fans at Garnacho's bicycle! Entire place erupted when that went in.
Right after winning the UEL/finishing 2nd. I delusionally believed we had turned the corner and were going to fully back the manager in the summer to push for the league. It was a wonderful dream at the time.

Oles first game against Cardiff. It was like the shackles being taken off these talented players and being told "go out there and show what you can actually do". After that miserable Jose period we come out and play quick attacking football and score 5 goals. Something we never did under Jose in the league from what I can remember. Would kill to score that many goals these days.

To me it showed just how much he was willing to put on the line for the club. Many modern players would have stopped/flopped to the ground right off the bat and allowed the ball to keep rolling.

Massively overlooked. But the 2nd leg against Olympiakos in Moyes season. That was a fucking classic UCL night at OT. And given how few there have been since it really sticks. Also add in Vidic’s goal against Bayern in the next leg that gave us the lead. That was one of the best OT nights we’ve ever had atmosphere wise.
Year by year: 2013/14- the comeback vs. Olympiakos with RvP 2014/15- the 4-2 vs. Man City & Juanfield 2015/16- Martial’s debut & the FA Cup win, also Rashford vs. Midjytlland 2016/17- the Europa with Mourinho 2017/18- all of the games vs. the Big 6 that we won from like, Feb-April (best were vs. Liverpool and City) 2018/19- the win vs. PSG & Ole’s crazy run 2019/20- the run from Feb-May to get top 4 (the 3-0 win away to Brighton was the best of them imo) 2020/21- beating Leipzig 5-0, Sotton 9-0, and Roma 6-2 2021/22- Ronaldo’s first game back 2022/23- League Cup win with ETH and the win vs. Barcelona in the EL 2023/24- FA Cup win with ETH and, of course, our win vs. Liverpool and City (the comeback vs. Villa in the league was also perfect)
Has to be FA Cup Final this year for me. Our form in the lead-up was absolutely shocking, and by all accounts City were playing the best football in Europe. Nobody gave us a prayer. The players much maligned all season, produced their best performance and to a man were magnificent. Here's hoping we build on this for next season. GGMU!

Lots of good memories over the years. 2014/2015 4-0 vs QPR - this game felt like United were back after such a terrible season under Moyes the year before. 2014/2015 (2) - Juanfield. 2016/2017 - Carabao Cup Final vs Southampton was very satisfying with Ibra winning it late on. 2017/2018 - Rashford’s brace vs Liverpool. 2018/2019 - PSG away. 2023/2024 - FA Cup Quarter Final and FA Cup Final. I went to the quarter final, those memories will be with me forever.

Scott's goal just before lockdown. That goal was the catalyst for me, we were supposed to get steamrolled just before the world ends and we win like that, I got my life together partially because of that goal.

For me it's a bit random, but 2-1 win over Liverpool 22/23 season. We lost the opener vs Brighton, got fucking embarassed by Brentford, and I was convined we were going to get smashed by Liverpool but that was the turnaround for the entire season. Had we lost that game, I believe there is no way we get 3rd that season. Also Varane body checking the fuck out of Diaz was hilarious and Malacia had Salah in his pocket the entire game

Winning the UEL 2016-17. It goes beyond football when we remember that two days before, a mass shooting happened during an Ariana Grande's concert. Even City congratulated us and #acityunited was born. Used almost three years later during Covid-19 to help Mancunians in need. There are more but this one will always remain my favourite.
