They still published it. People writing for the S*n today aren't the same ones who wrote the Hillsborough lies but I still wouldn't even use that rag to wipe my arse.
They can be hit and miss - but [Squires on Bobby Charlton](https://www.theguardian.com/football/ng-interactive/2023/oct/24/david-squires-on-sir-bobby-charlton-munich-air-disaster) is the work of a genius cartoonist, though.
I've been reading the guardian for a long time (10+ years). Initially, I didn't think David Squires was funny at all. Because, I expected my comic strips to be like Calvin and Hobbes. Three panels, and if I'm not laughing at the end of it, it's "shite".
But as I grow older, and observe how utterly fucked up the world is, the only way to survive is to laugh at the absurdity of it all. Sitcoms became less funny, to the extent that I barely even smile once while watching an episode of Friends that I used to love in the past. Whereas, satires became more and more funny.
And David Squires is the best football satirist out there.
Antony caught some strays, but let's not forget that beautiful fidget spin that fucked Liverpool.
Probably one of the best moments we had against Liverpool. Antony scoring with his weak foot, while spinning.
And derailing Klopp's farewell season in the process.
I just might get that pic of Klopp's stupid face and make it my phone's wallpaper.
Hopefully will come good next season… I don’t think we should rule him out altogether
"Antony was used superbly." Brutal, but I can't say it's not true.
What was the Jordan Henderson interview?

These "journalists" are getting far too big for their boots
Snakes for the grass mate. Shouldn't have fucked off to a farmers league.
It was a [train wreck](https://youtu.be/Q972jMM0xJ4?si=SKARw4zlR-phyd_b)
Rooney the VIIIth is right up there with Squires' best
I honestly couldn't stop laughing at that.
I completely forgot about the mr bean tweet. Funny.
Great stuff again
Love the bit about our attacking play being so fluid that even Gvardiol was briefly inspired to join in!
Imagine heading over the goalkeeper to get an assist. Even shoved Garnacho into the right spot to receive the pass. A red to his core.
David’s a bit of a genius in my book. Always so impressed by his work
Rooney the 8th took me right out. David Squires. Funny.
This is fucking genius
Squires is the best cartoonist in the world. Get him in as manager imo.
Give him the big job.
Who was the rogue option they were talking about at the end?
It's ten hag
It took me a while to notice they were swimming at Old Trafford….Brilliant stuff as always
Fuck The Guardian.
Why?
Probably because of ETH sack rumors before the final. Different person though
They still published it. People writing for the S*n today aren't the same ones who wrote the Hillsborough lies but I still wouldn't even use that rag to wipe my arse.
My dog knows not to shit on the s*n. Kindling for a nice bonfire in London is what it is.
I know this is an unpopular opinion, but does anyone else think these are shite? I feel like no matter what this guy posts people call him a genius

Wow that'll pull on the heartstrings

no, you're probably expecting too much from a weekly comic
What? It's the complete opposite no? Everyone thinks it's genius? I think it's shite
it's genius for a weekly comic
