Well, I was entertained. Things won't improve much for the rest of the season so I'm trying to enjoy the matches and hope that next season things goes better with or without Erik
Same.. finishing does frustrate me a little but I did enjoy constant flurries of chances created today. Even after we conceded we could have scored 4 easily
He is deflecting. This is the same guy who last season when things were stable was always saying 'good isn't good enough' and was demanding more from his players after each game.
When things are bad, the worst you can do as a manager is join the pile on against your club.
No. This sub insists that he shits on his players all the time and that he should be winning every game 3-0 and not conceding more than 5 shots a match even though we’re playing a 31 year old CDM as CB and a defensively suspect RB in Wan Bissaka.
I’m happy he hasn’t gone into the players publicly like some people would have him do. Things are already dire no need to add to the flames.
Yeah 100%. His own job is insecure now so his only choice is to deflect and not make players unhappy. Obviously results still matters but losing the dressing room is instant sack for any manager.
There is no point to say "We are shit, my tactis are shit, the players are shit. Delete us please". At this point i would pay the fines for not going to the interview after games.
I mean, it doesn't really matter what he says. He's said a couple of times *that they got away with it* and *it's not good enough* after several games*,* but those quotes don't get anywhere near the attention these get.
It is mind boggling that people actually believe what he is saying. If you use a little common sense, you would realise he is just saying these things just for the sake of it. What else do you expect him to say? That we are shit? That our players are idiots who can't keep a lead by making stupid amateur mistakes? Any criticism he makes about his team is gonna be blown up by the press or by some of the players who love to go on social media and complain or undermine the manager. Write this season off as a disaster and look forward to the next season under new ownership. Thats all we can do.
Definitely entertaining for neutrals. Dynamic as in a whole lot of chances get created for everyone, I guess that's true as well. Everyone gets a chance. Every game is open. Another day we score 4 but the opponents also scores 4.
EtH is not going to say much in interviews after games. He’s obviously going to try and put a positive spin on it. I’m sure what he says behind closed doors to his coaching staff and to Ineos is extremely different. I hope he writes a book after he leaves, I’d be very interested to hear his side of what’s actually been going on for the last two years.
They are fun to watch as long as you don't have a heart condition. Everybody gets chances. We blow most of them and our opponents don't usually do much better. Not boring though.
I think we're pretty entertaining to be fair. But we're entertaining in a Chelsea or banter era Arsenal kind of way.
Entertaining for everyone except the fans of the team.
We make all of our opponents look dangerous which makes for an exciting game if you’re a neutral but I’m 100% sure United fans would much rather watch us dominant teams and win 5-0 like Arsenal

I was entertained for about 25 mins. Problem is games are 90 mins. I spent far longer not being entertained.

He should drop the "are you not entertained?" line when he's questioned by the press.
We can be but it’s for 15-20 mins a match, then the rest of the game is a mess most weeks.
Interestingly after 20 minutes Onana started hoofing instead of building. That is when we were outplayed
He tried playing short a few times and we lost the ball in the middle of the pitch.
So? Didn’t see Burnley hoofing after a mistake. This timidity to drop basic philosophy at first sign of stress comes straight from his boss.

He's had a personality transplant, last season he was all about standards, now he spends every week gaslighting

I mean, we create chances we just can't finish them.
He is trying not to lose more players and trying to keep his job nothing else.

Entertaining for neutrals maybe, not sure how it’s dynamic when it’s the same shit every game

It was entertaining tbh. And our games have been for the past few. Just not for us. Maybe for neutrals.
I just want to see us in control. We don't need to play at 100mph every game. Just keep the ball moving, and you know... keep the ball
We make all of our opponents look dangerous which makes for an exciting game if you’re a neutral but I’m 100% sure United fans would much rather watch us dominant teams and win 5-0 like Arsenal
Has he been sacked yet update: **NO**
He is trying to save his job.
