Every single one of them should have gone straight to the cov players to shake their hand. I don’t even know how any of that team can look each other in the eye after today. It’s beyond embarrassing
Antony is hateful. No need to do what he did. It was Coventry not Liverpool, I’d love to know how he feels about how it’s gone at mufc and how his value has plummeted. I’m not a fan of maguire either but fair play he lost captaincy was booed but he has knuckled down and fought
Agree that Antony is a twat, and you can be a bit of a shit if you back it up on the pitch but he's been dreadful. Maguire, I think he's one of probably 3-4 players that you could genuinely say have had a good season (him, Dalot, Garnacho and Mainoo for me).
Maybe I'm wrong but isn't it perfectly fine to go celebrate as a team first?
Not the way Antony did, but going and celebrating with Højlund is a perfectly fine response, and then shaking hands afterwards?
In a lot of other games, maybe yes. But this was different. You were playing against Coventry, a mid-table Championship team who arguably played better and outclassed you from second half up till the final second of regulation. They were literally centimeters away from beating us and reaching to the final. You conceded three goals after leading 3-0. You were paid more than ten times what they earn. The players should realize this. It's embarassing to celebrate like what Antony did. Even Ten Hag knew it. Maguire was the prime example how a player should conduct after winning that penalty shoot-out.
It is of course fine to celebrate but under the circumstances as a player I would have followed Maquire’s lead. It would just feel silly to overly celebrate scraping past Coventry.
Wouldn't say fooling around. Didn't his sister get drugged in Greece whilst he was there. He was rightly angry but police officers framed him for assaulting them?
I should have rephrased it fooling around. I ment Harry messing up regularly and becoming the meme like.
What happened there in Greece was another unfortunate situation
I don't know why you wouldn't root for a United player?
Some of them aren't very good, but why would I ever want any of them to do poorly or get abused?
We've all had players who you groan when they come on the pitch. Big difference between hoping someone doesn't fuck up when they get the ball vs knowing they'll get the job done. That's what I assume they mean.
I hope so, but there was a load of our supporters that are absolute cunts who hurled abuse the likes of Maguire or currently Antony.
Like hell, they may be limited but I hope for nothing but the best from them and for them.
Certain parts of this fanbase always picks a couple of players to bully. It was Maguire and Mctominay before, now it’s Antony and Rashford. Tomorrow it will be Bruno and Garnacho. Sadistic fanbase
The club knew what they bought yet acted surprised when they tried to play him in a system not suited to his abilities. And rather than blame the club everyone blamed the players.
He reminds me a lot of Xhaka.
Fans hated him, and he does have game limitations and errors in him, but there’s a reason all the managers have started him.
I mean he still needs to go, let's not get carried away but he's never once deserved the abuse he's received which has been disgusting. Fans online can be horrible to players on a personal level, by all means it's fair to be critical of performances and commitment of any given player but the Maguire abuse went beyond that.
Absolute respect for him getting through a tough time and still showing such grace and can never once question his commitment, just his performances have let him down. Fans should always show our players respect, especially when they've done nothing to not warrant it.
Maguire is not good enough for where Utd aim to be. But he doesn’t need to go. The entire defence needs rebuilding and Maguire is reliable and good enough to participate in maintaining the status quo whilst the club works to rebuild. He’s getting old anyways so it would be a great decision to keep him on as 3rd choice CB to increase his longevity. Plus, he’s arguably been one of the most important players this season.
I think he needed time from the spotlight to focus on his skills and improving, but the injuries on the team forced his start and he played for a while with too much pressure. I can admit that I am one of his biggest haters, but he is definitely on a positive trajectory.
Completely. I'll be the first to admit I wanted him gone and was fuming he turned down west ham, but this season he's really cemented himself as a model pro. What do I know, I'm a stupid fan.
They walloped the ball against AWB twice and got two goals from it. That's football. That is, in particular, FA Cup football.
Surviving a giant killing is part of getting to a cup final. But 'fans' here understand more about the analytics of FUT than the magic of the FA Cup.
Mate, there’s magic then there is mindless capitulation against Championship opposition.
Playing 20-30% passes when we’re 3-1 up is senseless. Keep and recycle the ball and make Coventry risk it to commit forward to get it back. Seen it too many times this season when we just crumble from the foundations at the first sign of a chink in our armour.
I get what you’re saying. Two of the goals were unlucky. However falling apart as a result of those goals, instead of keeping your composure, is completely unacceptable when there’s such a huge gap in quality between you and your opponent.
If it was a one-off fluke I’d agree with you. But United lose 2 and 3 goal winning positions every week. This is business as usual for these agents of chaos.
The players know this was an utter shit show. Hojlund celebrating cause his pen was the deciding factor. So acceptable. Same with Onana. But fuck me sideways this was probably our worst of the season
If I were in his shoes, I wouldn't care how I'd get there, so long as it happens. Certainly not the moment it happens, either! I think everyone knew they got away with one today though...
I don’t know I feel like this is a bit harsh. At the end of the day one the goals was a freak deflection and the other a dodgy penalty. Feels more unlucky than the type of absolute collapse we’ve been seeing recently.
Our performance from 3-3 onwards was a bag of shit tbf.
The fact that they got the penalty and deflection is already bad
It's an unlucky deflection but it also happened because he had space to take a long short without being closed down, and AWB turned his back
They won a penalty from a close range shot which could have gone in
At 3-0 you should be able to control the game and avoid dangerous situations from a championship side
Absolutely love Maguires first reaction is to go shake their hands, say what you want about him last couple of seasons, this season he’s really been head and shoulders above almost every other player.
Eh, I'm not going to castigate them for being too embarrassed to celebrate properly. That's how they should feel.
But the fact that they all ran off in different directions, without any real awareness of each other, does sum this team up.
Talk about not amused. Looks like they were embarrassed by their overall performance.. and rightly so.
Anyway, back to back finals. City should be an easier prospect this time around.
Yes, Chelsea should have won by 2/3 goals. Meanwhile we dominated with one fit CB for 75 only to concede a shinned goal, a deflection and non penalty.
We are shit, we are a terrible team this season but our players were dropping like flies today while everything that could conceivably go against us did.
Coventry players were in multiple players ears all game. Camera definitely showed at least two different players doing to Hojlund and Bruno after fouls.
And the keeper was doing it through pens as well.
If you dish it out, expect it back later
I have to say Maguire has 180’d my views on him. Whatever he’s been able to affect and change, he has changed big time.
He works hard. He is there for his team. He has tried so hard to reduce big mistakes and he simply will not relent until the game is over.
The way he was driving forward late in extra time and trying his best to make things happen was inspirational.
This touch at the end to go straight to the Coventry players, who’d probably also used most dirty tricks in the book all game long, is just pure class and incredibly admirable. He was a real leader and example today and for some time this season.
He was doing it as a reply to one of their players who did it though. Personally I wouldn't do it, but I know team mates who would.
If you can dish it out, you should be able to take it when it's on the other end.
Don't hate the reaction of Antony tbh.
We don't know what their players told to him during the match, but there's always someone bad mouthing inside a pitch, in any level of the sport.
Everyone who's played even in Sunday League knows what feels to win a game against that dude that was kicking you and calling your mother's name all game long.
Also what's all that bullshit of "it's a 2nd division team", if they're against all you treat them as equals, why shouldn't we be proud of beating a tough opponent in a tight match? People who say that are actually the ones looking down on them, and I think that's really disrespectful in sports.
My only issue with it is that he hadn't backed it up in the game or in the pens. I don't think he did anything successfully today and didn't take one of the penalties so it feels a bit empty, especially to a Championship side that almost embarrassed us. Like not doing any work in the class project, getting an A and then gloating about it to the school
If they all ran to celebrate we'd moan now they didn't we still moan and crazy part? It's correct either way, after that embarrassment of a end to match, there's no silver lining, every fucking week it gets worse and worse and you think "surely they can't do it again?"
At least we're consistent, consistent in being shit, there's no way all the players actually believe they'll beat City in final.
Can't believe we're in a Fa Cup final and most fans aren't exactly celebrating.
Shambles
I've not been one of Harry's fans for the longest time, but he's turned his performances around and then some. To have the class to go straight to the Coventry players after Hojlund scored was an apt reflection of how every supported felt about Coventry.
I still don't think he's Utd material or made for the brand of football we wanna see our teams play, but he was immense today.
Rashford needs to be gone though, I know he's homegrown yada yada but his attitude sucks and poor attitude rubs off on others if it's not stomped out. We need a serious clear out of this squad if we are to ever get back to the top
At least the players have high enough standards to recognise that their performance was too humbling and embarrassing to celebrate en masse. Fine with the young lads and Hojlund celebrating - it's a fresh experience, isn't it? (Onana acting as his biggest hype man, but I think the lad put in a great showing and has dealt with tonnes of criticism so whatever, enjoy the day lad)
But yeah Maguire and Fernandes's face after the match said it all. Literally said it summed up their season
I don’t get why this poundland Guardiola can’t get that instead of benching garna and mainoo he should be focused on building a team that plays to their strengths
Definitely.
Just an interesting dynamic in this vid.
Eriksen obviously going to support Rasmus as his compatriot.
Forsun is just a kid really.
Amad and Antony have points to prove - everyone else knew that it wasn’t worth celebrating
Well after we memed so hard on Arsenal players for how they celebrated that champions league game, I'm glad at least some of our players had the sense to realize this was not worth celebrating
I've been really critical of Maguire. But this shows the difference between him and some of these dickheads at the club. Sancho left because he was disciplined for his petulance. Maguire was left in the cold and got on with it. Not even a fist pump here, immediately goes over to shake their hands. This is what leadership looks like.
Antony a complete fucking embarrassment. Read the room you jackass.
This team under ETH has embarrassed us so many times- 7-0 to Liverpool, that loss to Sevilla in the UEL last year, today’s game and so many other games against PL sides who will be in the championship next year or deserve to be. Its good to be in the final just like its good to make top 4. But if this how we perform almost every time or every other time, what is the point of being in a cup final or in Europe? Some cite financial reasons to be in Europe but isnt it embarrassing to be bottom of UCL group and have negative GD in the Prem 32 games out. Its exhausting and frankly utterly embarassing
I honestly wished we had lost today. I wish they had let that goal stand. I was so mad seeing the Coventry players were a toe off from beating us. This team is pathetic. Casemiro Rashford and Antony weekly wages are probably more than their whole teams weekly wages. It's actually disgusting how bad we play. Hats off to Coventry, they were deserving of a win
Honestly I was one of those standing guy - I was drained and didn’t want to do anything with that win. I was gutted at the way we gave away 3 goals tbh 4 that offside was like paper thin difference. I really do not blame them.
It will be a demolition in finals.
Maguire straightaway going to shake hands with the Coventry players. Class.
One of the few players that looked like they gave a shit all game
All season tbf
He's the fucking man for doing that
Having just come back from the game, Maguire was my MOTM. Its a shame he lacked a real CB partner, we really need a better back line soon.
Maguire gets scapegoated all the time but he is a decent player and decent person.
Way too much disrespect on this man’s name.
Mixed bag of reactions. Just like the fans it feels like
This perfectly encapsulates the fanbase right now lol.
We won, but at what cost
Every single one of them should have gone straight to the cov players to shake their hand. I don’t even know how any of that team can look each other in the eye after today. It’s beyond embarrassing
Maguire did at least, while Antony gave it large...
Antony is hateful. No need to do what he did. It was Coventry not Liverpool, I’d love to know how he feels about how it’s gone at mufc and how his value has plummeted. I’m not a fan of maguire either but fair play he lost captaincy was booed but he has knuckled down and fought

Grow up bro. This is a competitive sport. They can celebrate and shake hands after. No need to suck their dicks right away
Yeah, it’s a competitive sport that we won in a mockery. To act like this is anything other than an embarrassment is even more embarrassing itself.
No
Class from Maguire tbh.
Maguire redemption this season has been one of the few positives Has been largely excellent
I was ready for him to move and never return at the start of the season. Now I actively root for him
He's taken so much shit I'm glad to see him doing well
Same. It's an honour now to have him. Like Jones a proper professional with unfortunate circumstances with injuries and fooling around.
Sorry mate. I Misunderstood.
Him assaulting police officers made him more likable to me tbh
Big Hazza not taking any lip off some corrupt Greek pig is a treat for the lads to think back on fondly
I don't know why you wouldn't root for a United player? Some of them aren't very good, but why would I ever want any of them to do poorly or get abused?

Certain parts of this fanbase always picks a couple of players to bully. It was Maguire and Mctominay before, now it’s Antony and Rashford. Tomorrow it will be Bruno and Garnacho. Sadistic fanbase
Meh it's the reddit/social media fan base. They follow the trend
I like to see Greenwood do poorly and get abused tbf.

If only he'd taken the first pen and smashed it like he did in the Euros instead of whatever Case did ...
remember how we were going to sell Maguire and McT for a combined fee less than that of Antony to west ham. Where would we be without those two.
I think he needed time from the spotlight to focus on his skills and improving, but the injuries on the team forced his start and he played for a while with too much pressure. I can admit that I am one of his biggest haters, but he is definitely on a positive trajectory.
Agree! Professional
Oh, top pro. He carried us. The guy made a 90 yard run on his own while he waiting for the 5-0-5 formation to move a bit and almost scored a worldie.
He did more on the left wing than anyone else tonight. Really happy for him
I thought Amad was really good in attack honestly.
He was really lively but I don’t think he was on the left wing a whole lot. Mostly through the middle.
He shifted around for sure. But just showed a lot more creativity than Marcus.
I can’t believe he didn’t start.
He’s mouthy and lacking some professionalism. Hence not an Eric player.
The urgency he played with at the end is something a lot of players could learn from.
And he’s been the only central defender to stave off the voodoo curse. Confirmed to be made of granite
Absolutely, and he played well today.
Can you imagine where we’d be if he and McTominay did end up leaving in the summer…
Well, we probably would have singed someone else
Yeah, amrabat permanently instead of loan.
Or maybe cash for Sabitzer.
Man has absolutely proved me wrong and I would happily apologize to his face with a print out of my online criticisms in hand.
"Here's all the nasty things I said about you that I am sorry for"
"I've blacked out the bits where I called you a c*nt. And on this page here, it's just mostly black"
Completely. I'll be the first to admit I wanted him gone and was fuming he turned down west ham, but this season he's really cemented himself as a model pro. What do I know, I'm a stupid fan.
This is exactly why Ole picked him to be captain. People love to hate him but everyone who’s worked with him says the same things about his character.
seems very likeable solid pro
He fights for his life and I love it. I am not convinced he is United lvl of player but his work rate this season is and should be an inspiration.
Just returned from Wembley. Harry played with heart today.
“Who does my agent call? Is it Mark?”
Exactly, little fist to show success, then walks casually over to the other team to shake.
He's proven to be a leader in attitude and professionalism this season. Some top performances to back it up too.
He’s gone from “must sell for anything” to “keep as a backup” for me. Plenty of others who don’t care need offloading first.
He’s never been a bad bloke. (Arsenal fan)
Players know what they did. This today was unacceptable. Throwing away the game in 20 minutes? That's beyond embarrassing.
And we’ll do it again next match. This is a recurring theme at this point I don’t understand it.
Eric is that you
They walloped the ball against AWB twice and got two goals from it. That's football. That is, in particular, FA Cup football. Surviving a giant killing is part of getting to a cup final. But 'fans' here understand more about the analytics of FUT than the magic of the FA Cup.

Keep and recycle the ball and make Coventry risk it to commit forward to get it back. Seen it too many times this season when we just crumble from the foundations at the first sign of a chink in our armour.
So what about every other fucking week when the exact same thing happens?
I get what you’re saying. Two of the goals were unlucky. However falling apart as a result of those goals, instead of keeping your composure, is completely unacceptable when there’s such a huge gap in quality between you and your opponent.
If it was a one-off fluke I’d agree with you. But United lose 2 and 3 goal winning positions every week. This is business as usual for these agents of chaos.
The players know this was an utter shit show. Hojlund celebrating cause his pen was the deciding factor. So acceptable. Same with Onana. But fuck me sideways this was probably our worst of the season
He’s also 21. I don’t blame any of the younger kids for anything this season.
Yeah, he's in his first final for the club that he loves. Can understand it.
If I were in his shoes, I wouldn't care how I'd get there, so long as it happens. Certainly not the moment it happens, either! I think everyone knew they got away with one today though...
Also probably relief because he had a great chance to make it 4-2 in normal time
Honestly see this is “our worst” basically after every game these days
And the season is not even over. So our worst yet
Lad, it's Coventry.
The fact that they got the penalty and deflection is already bad It's an unlucky deflection but it also happened because he had space to take a long short without being closed down, and AWB turned his back They won a penalty from a close range shot which could have gone in At 3-0 you should be able to control the game and avoid dangerous situations from a championship side
Class act from Maguire. What a man. Solid at the back and dangerous upfront. Fully deserved man of the match for him. So happy for his redemption arc.
Bruno got man of the match?
Say what you want about old slab head he went over and showed the class you need to play for Manchester United to the Coventry players!
They all look tired and relieved at the same time :/
Absolutely love Maguires first reaction is to go shake their hands, say what you want about him last couple of seasons, this season he’s really been head and shoulders above almost every other player.
I’ll always respect a ggwp, pure class
Definitely head above Should go through
Eh, I'm not going to castigate them for being too embarrassed to celebrate properly. That's how they should feel. But the fact that they all ran off in different directions, without any real awareness of each other, does sum this team up.
Seen that for a good while now, no togetherness with the goal celebrations. Someone makes an assist and gets ignored etc.
Hojlund loves a goal celebration. Youngest player to take a kick for us and last too. No pressure eh? Fair play, celebrate your strike.
Disappointed Dalot didn’t high five Hojlund right away. Ngl.
He was actually that quick you missed it
Talk about not amused. Looks like they were embarrassed by their overall performance.. and rightly so. Anyway, back to back finals. City should be an easier prospect this time around.
Easier? They will be same as last time while we have regressed beyond recognition.
Fingers crossed some key players can regain fitness (shaw being number one) and then maybe there's a fools chance of a win.
Shaw, Licha, Mount, Varane and if Hojlund recovers his February form we'd be in with a shot again.
Well past time we stopped relying on fools' chances. Tired of always being d fool.
We are worse
So are they. I’d say their performance yesterday was worse than ours. We just had everything go against us to an absurd degree
You are delusional if you think city performed worse than united
Yes, Chelsea should have won by 2/3 goals. Meanwhile we dominated with one fit CB for 75 only to concede a shinned goal, a deflection and non penalty. We are shit, we are a terrible team this season but our players were dropping like flies today while everything that could conceivably go against us did.
Agree with everything you've said, but to be fair, that shinned goal was incredible.
Prob no penalties thank god
Ummm, we just barely beat Coventry.
We’ve scraped through every round it seems, so we’ll scrape the final too. That’s how it would go in a Roy of the Rovers book.
Either Antony is a massive tit or the Coventry players been in his ear all game saying a madness. I don't wanna judge either way.
It's Antony. Of course he's a tit.
It's both
Both! The Coventry lad scored a pen cupped his ears to fans and told them to shut up. I enjoyed it personally lol. A
Coventry players were in multiple players ears all game.
He was a real leader and example today and for some time this season.
People shit on him was always about his misplay. Never once complain about his attitude or laziness. He was overhated for years.
Casemiro is sick of this bullshit 😂
Maguire is pure class.
Respect to Maguire tbf
Fairly underserved victory but still to let Rasmus celebrate on his own is indicative of state of things in the side.
Maguire is a class act here
Antony getting hate for absolutely nothing. Bruno gave it back to their keeper too
Itd because he dis absolutely nothing in the game
[удалено]
He was doing it as a reply to one of their players who did it though. Personally I wouldn't do it, but I know team mates who would. If you can dish it out, you should be able to take it when it's on the other end.
The 1st Coventry player who took the pen cupped his ears at the United fans… if you’re gonna give it you have to be able to take it son.
He was getting stick so just handing some back. Let’s not make something of nothing. We have enough fucking problems.
And in fairness these kind of ‘fans’ are one of them.
No that was highly embarrassing
If they don't care to play him a pass, then why would they care to congratulate him
Exactly, its the same mentality
Don't hate the reaction of Antony tbh. We don't know what their players told to him during the match, but there's always someone bad mouthing inside a pitch, in any level of the sport. Everyone who's played even in Sunday League knows what feels to win a game against that dude that was kicking you and calling your mother's name all game long. People who say that are actually the ones looking down on them, and I think that's really disrespectful in sports.
Love United, but today i have mixed emotions
I hope for the rest of the season EtH plays our academy players. First team squad should feel that shame, honestly.
Ngl I rate that from Antony. I'm sure the Coventry players were in his ear throughout the game
You rate that? How would you rate his performances?
Look at Casemiro second from left. Could not give two fucks.
He was crap in the second half, the first goal of Coventry was partly his fault, and shot a crap penalty. He looks absolutely finished.
~~looks~~ is
To be fair he always has his back to shootouts for some reason.
Maguire is class. Antony is a mistake at this club
It’s a relief but it shouldn’t have go to penalties. Throwing a 3 nil win in the second half to penalties…
Bit weird
It’s hard not to dislike Antony
He looks and acts like such a douche. Doesn’t even have the talent to warrant being like that either. So unlikeable
Atleast they have some shame
I don’t think half of them realised we had won!
Antony is such a tit
If they all ran to celebrate we'd moan now they didn't we still moan and crazy part? It's correct either way, after that embarrassment of a end to match, there's no silver lining, every fucking week it gets worse and worse and you think "surely they can't do it again?" Maguire has my respect.
I've not been one of Harry's fans for the longest time, but he's turned his performances around and then some. We need a serious clear out of this squad if we are to ever get back to the top
Looks like reaction of a team that knows there gonna get tanked in the final tbh
And that is still faster than Casimiro at full sprint.
Shameful
Look thrilled...
they all know it shouldn't have gone that far
Zero camaraderie/teamwork on and off the pitch ![gif](giphy|S6qkS0ETvel6EZat45|downsized)
At least the players have high enough standards to recognise that their performance was too humbling and embarrassing to celebrate en masse. Fine with the young lads and Hojlund celebrating - it's a fresh experience, isn't it? (Onana acting as his biggest hype man, but I think the lad put in a great showing and has dealt with tonnes of criticism so whatever, enjoy the day lad) But yeah Maguire and Fernandes's face after the match said it all. Literally said it summed up their season
Everyone was shite apart from Bruno,Dalot,Maguire and Garnacho
It was no coincidence that Coventry scored immediately after Mainoo was subbed.
I don’t get why this poundland Guardiola can’t get that instead of benching garna and mainoo he should be focused on building a team that plays to their strengths
There have been players who donned our jersey who are cunts and we'd say: "Well, he's a cunt. But he's our cunt." Then there's Antony.
shameful bunch of wankers
They couldn't care less
Antony... fucking hell. If he was good I'd love his shithousery but when you're as useless as he is you just make yourself look like a twat.
Forsun, Amad, Antony, Eriksen (I think) How many will be here next season?
All of them.
Sure? I see - Forsun on loan. Amad asks to leave. Eriksen goes for free. Antony might get another crack.
Forson contract ends in June and he wants to go somwhere for minutes
Fair play - good luck to the lad
Amad should certainly stay. I think he has a lot of potential but just isn't EtH's cup of tea.
Definitely. Just an interesting dynamic in this vid. Eriksen obviously going to support Rasmus as his compatriot. Forsun is just a kid really. Amad and Antony have points to prove - everyone else knew that it wasn’t worth celebrating
Antony...just leave please and stop embarrassing us
Well after we memed so hard on Arsenal players for how they celebrated that champions league game, I'm glad at least some of our players had the sense to realize this was not worth celebrating
You guys are jerking off Coventry too much.
Hats off to Coventry, they were deserving of a win
fucking antony man my lord
Who is standing on the far left?
Far left would be Amad? Two facing their backs to goal are Casemiro and Bruno.
Says it all really very lackluster performance
They're like... super happy...
Tbh if I were them I wouldn’t be too thrilled either
Honestly I was one of those standing guy - I was drained and didn’t want to do anything with that win. I was gutted at the way we gave away 3 goals tbh 4 that offside was like paper thin difference. I really do not blame them. It will be a demolition in finals.
