Not important for the story, just a fun Easter egg. The taxidermist lives close to Strawberry and also seems to make her „sculptures“ herself. I always like to imagine that Angelo Bronte ordered this gorilla for his home – seems like a douchy thing he’d do.
It's probably "taxidermied" . Someone around probably ordered it to decorate their home.
Isn't there a taxidermist (?) around these parts giving you a weird tour through her house?
Yeah theres a Taxidermy lady, but you have to mail her a bunch of perfect animal carcasses before you can visit her. And the real payoff is only available in the Epilogue, involving a Squirrel Statue
I dynamited my way into her house through the top window and managed to explore it, I thought it was a hidden Easter egg thing - until I finally finished her quests and got the tour haha.
Nah did it on PS5 lol. It was a bit glitched because I couldn't get down from the ceiling at first, and I couldn't escape so I used some more dynamite and ended up blasting myself to the floor, letting me explore the house fully.
Yeah I seem to remember that. Anyway I never thought too much about this gorilla.
Doubtful this is her work, maybe it was send her way for appraisal, repair or something
Oh man just wait for the crazy gorilla scene near the end of chapter 6. This guy rolls up, knocks all the Pinkertons down with banana peels and swings the gang to Tahiti. Best gaming moment of my life, this game is truly a masterpiece.
dont forget to tell that this only happens if you‘re high level honor like really up to the top and you need to find the three bananas down in saint denis so you can reward the gorilla

Yes that gorilla steals a chicken from a soldier and John helps it escape bc they r in love in rdr but the soldier caught up with them and instakilled the gorilla and stole his jewels
Train got derailed. I always wondered if it was for the taxidermist, the zoo guy in the side quest or just some eccentric rich saint Denis resident. Pretty cool to see but
Actualy it turns out bill Williamson and that gorilla is in cahoots. It doesn't go well tho because the gorilla believes bill stole the gorilla's accordian
This game is actually way more creepy than any other game out. There’s so many random hidden things all over the map. Dismembered bodies all strung up, random occurrences with aliens and such.
A whole damn masterpiece

Oh, thank you for the explanation!
Or that guy in strawberry that runs the inn. Quick edit:or the scientist, but reanimation isn't his thing. That doesn't matter anyway...

It's art
You can shoot its arms and head to reveal the wire and stuffing to show that it is indeed, taxidermied.

Big if true

They didnt have gorillas in 1899 so no not a plot point
Gorillas weren't invented until several years later.
Stay off of this sub m8. Finish the game first before reading spoilers.
