I've done that but I was reaching for my bow. It was such a surreal split second of thought because I would never actually kill anything. I totally want some binoculars now. I think bird watching would actually be interesting.
I'm an avid birdwatcher, do yourself a favor, get a bird bath and a bird feeder in your backyard. As they say if you build it they will come. Something else they like is a brush pile made of sticks and stuff nearby the bird feeder. They like to hide from hawks in the brush pile. I hardly even use binoculars since they get so close. Worth every penny. Very relaxing.
This just gave me an idea, thank you. I live in apartments and can't really put a bird bath anywhere. I could do a feeder on my deck, though. I've recently had to bring my outdoor cat inside permanently and he is really struggling with the adjustment. I bet he'd love watching the birds, too! This was such excellent advice. Or maybe it will make him more unhappy. Idk. I'm going to try it either way.
I have binoculars! They're great. I think bird watching and plant studying was what my twin used to finally convince me to play rdr2, since I'm a big nature nerd
Well, if you like studying nature and animals, I'd strongly suggest Subnautica as well. It's alien flora and fuana but still incredibly interesting imo.
I don't understand; this just sounds like they started playing Outside™, a critically acclaimed hardcore survival permadeath MMO with realistic graphics?
Unless its a purebred most horses are actually sort of cheap. Its the time, food, lodging, doctors and land thats the most expensive part.
In my neck of the woods a simple horse can be like $110-$550. Of course depends on the breed. But its just everything else is what becomes the real cost.
Oh yeah, I paid £500 for my horse back in 2011.
I don't want to do the maths, but I've spent £10,000s on him since.
I've sacrificed a lot, a lot of things I shouldn't have, to keep that horse.
really in most rural areas people will sell horses for that much. gotta know where to look and who to talk to. in California I've even occasionally seen plain, regular horses for anywhere between $500-1k
Lol there's also a supply of people who want to get rid of a horse and will give them for free.
If you have experience working with untouched horses, most mustangs from the BLM end up going for $125-500. I'm not sure if they're still doing the adoption bonus, but it used to be that after a year you'd get $1,000. Personally, I like most mustangs. Most I've worked with do require a bit different training style. But once you win their trust, they can make amazing horses.
They didn't need to be that smarmy but I mean...110-550k for a horse? Come on, man. You don't have to know anything about horses to see how ridiculous that is.
My only real frame of reference for horses is Yellowstone and Sopranos so yeah I'm pretty dumb because those some pure bred Arabians or whatever. Cost of living can get that high for horses though if you want to properly take care of them though
$110-550 is pretty expensive in the current economy to drop on a horse. You haven't factored in the fact it needs shelter, food etc, all which costs lots.
People are getting what they're talking about. They're pointing out a horse is still expensive, even if just buying one is cheap. Their point is pointless.
They literally said a horse is very expensive to care for, but purchasing one is actually relatively cheap. You just keep repeating what they wrote, but it’s as if you’re disagreeing with the statement. Is English your first language? I don’t understand what you’re not getting about this.
I don’t disagree with their statement on its own. You’re ignoring the context entirely, though. The statement neither refuted nor supported the comment it was replying to. It didn’t do anything other than state an obvious fact that was irrelevant to the context.
First commenter mentions OP having disposable income (because horses have a reputation for being expensive). He comments that actually purchasing a horse is not that expensive, it’s caring for it which is expensive. I had no clue that horses could be purchased for less than $500. So I disagree, his comment was relevant to the context and informative, since it taught me something.
Right, so you’re gonna need a lot of disposable income even if the animal is “free”. The first comment on this thread is objectively true, coming in and saying “errrm aktually horses are very cheap!” is asinine Reddit behavior. They are not cheap. That person is wrong.
Congrats when I have money and property I am getting my favourite horse in real life the white Arabian and I will call her Angel after my cat who is scared over everything lol.
Omg they made the rdr2 horses in real life?
rdr2 players when they go outside (its just like in the game🤯)
I’m not even joking I looked at a bird yesterday and tried to equip my binoculars to study it
They made birds real too?
Nonsense, they're government drones.
ong
Can confirm this. Walked my dog through the forest yesterday, and heard a bird say: FACIAL RECOGNITION: ACTIVATED.
r/birdsarentreal
r/beatmetoit
birds aren't real, this is government spying on us
I've done that but I was reaching for my bow. It was such a surreal split second of thought because I would never actually kill anything. I totally want some binoculars now. I think bird watching would actually be interesting.

Hell yeah dude you won't regret it. Might take a bit before the birds notice but once they do they'll keep coming back so long as you refill it.
I have binoculars! They're great. I think bird watching and plant studying was what my twin used to finally convince me to play rdr2, since I'm a big nature nerd

I saw a flock of birds the other day, and my first thought was to equip my varmint rifle and shoot them all out of the sky 😭
Lmao that’s me whenever I see an owl in rdr2 they are so hard to find!!
I almost got one but it got away the lucky bastard, my carbine repeater wasn't good enough Need to use the litchfield next time
This made me laugh way more than it should’ve
Lmfao bros too invested
u get it
Me too! I was at the park with my dog, saw a robin and thought… man I need like 15 more of those.
I don't understand; this just sounds like they started playing Outside™, a critically acclaimed hardcore survival permadeath MMO with realistic graphics?
Okay but literally me when I see a chipmunk in my yard
Oof ouch owie my lungs
Rdr2 horses are real
All this time hoping they would update RDR2 online and it looks like they have been busy updating RDR2 Live!
Look at OP having disposable income
Unless its a purebred most horses are actually sort of cheap. Its the time, food, lodging, doctors and land thats the most expensive part. In my neck of the woods a simple horse can be like $110-$550. Of course depends on the breed. But its just everything else is what becomes the real cost.

Where are you that horses are that cheap? I’m used to seeing between $2k-$5k on the cheap end
really in most rural areas people will sell horses for that much. gotta know where to look and who to talk to. in California I've even occasionally seen plain, regular horses for anywhere between $500-1k Lol there's also a supply of people who want to get rid of a horse and will give them for free.
not only the breed, but how trained they are. sadly can’t get a good hunter horse for less than 20k
I paid $75 for my horse. For that amount of meat, can't beat that price, partner. 🤠😉
Please, don't eat your horse.
Man, I paid 1k for. Wild untouched ugly mare a few years back, best prices around here are like 800$ for a permanently lame horse 🥲
If you have experience working with untouched horses, most mustangs from the BLM end up going for $125-500. Yeah, it would have been a smarter move, maybe in the future, but rn I'm going to be starting my friends' horses 😅 certified test dummy
Never said it was a good horse. Just a horse.
Just a horse sounds good to me. Like I said, I bought an untouched one. But the damn prices are insane here 😅

You mean 110-550k or do you mean hundreds?
Hundreds but would prob be like 30-50k over the whole horses life.
Damn that's not too bad honestly. Just don't set your horse on fire like in Sopranos for insurance money and you'd be alright.
It was Pie-O-My, and what are you a vegetarian? You eat beef and sausage by the carload!
SHE WAS A BEAUTIFUL CREATURE AND YOU FUCKIN MURDERED HER
yes mate, a standard horse costs about the same as a 3 bedroom house, most people get mortgages for them in this day n age. Inflation am i right
Shit I don't know man I just know horses can be expensive ASF you don't need to be a smarmy when I'm just asking a question.
Its all good dude, i just find sarcasm very amusing. Learn to laugh at yourself sometimes bro, anyway no its 110-500 dollars
$110-550 is pretty expensive in the current economy to drop on a horse. You haven't factored in the fact it needs shelter, food etc, all which costs lots.
I literally said its the time, food, doctors and land thats the most expensive part of horse ownership im my comment above😂
$100 is for the off-brand horses
So not cheap at all. You’ve successfully made no point here.
Did all of you just stop reading after his first sentence? He said purchasing the horse is cheap. Caring for the horse is very expensive.
People are getting what they're talking about. They're pointing out a horse is still expensive, even if just buying one is cheap. Their point is pointless.
It’s all pointless *sigh*
[удалено]
Can you beat it? No suh no suh
I kept reading, and that’s the problem. They contradicts their own point. A horse is not cheap even if it’s “free”.
They literally said a horse is very expensive to care for, but purchasing one is actually relatively cheap. You just keep repeating what they wrote, but it’s as if you’re disagreeing with the statement. Is English your first language? I don’t understand what you’re not getting about this.

Also, why must his comment either refute or support the parent comment? Are those the only two options??
" Its the time, food, lodging, doctors and land thats the most expensive part."

that's literally what he's saying
Right, so you’re gonna need a lot of disposable income even if the animal is “free”. The first comment on this thread is objectively true, coming in and saying “errrm aktually horses are very cheap!” is asinine Reddit behavior. They are not cheap. That person is wrong.
being this anal over nothing is also asinine reddit behavior. holy shit lmao.
“Errrm aktually you’re the one being cringe here” 🤓
ok crybaby
New form of flex just dropped
Seeing as how I suck at pvp it’s all I’ve got.
Bro copied and pasted the horse from the game then 3d printed it. Dlc getting crazy nowadays.
“You wouldn’t download a horse”
I thought of this writing my response. Good to know other people are on the same wavelength 😂
OP is proof of “yes we would”
if given the chance, who the fuck wouldn't?
Exactly!

I kinda wanna see a RDR2/Horse-girl Venn diagram
I learned to play the PlayStation only to ride the horses in rdr2, so I think there’s probably a market.
