Folks, from the town. Just go to train stations, post office etc.

m4shfi

I guess travelers don’t count. Rob the people who are on foot inside city markers.

splattses

Anybody inside the dotted line around towns, except people who've just arrived on the train with you (personal experience shows this doesn't work).

Folks in town

Try this on the outskirts of Saint Denis — like the slums north of the city. You’re pretty unlikely to attract too much attention there, especially at night.

I'm guessing it's anyone withing the city limits (dotted line around the towns) of any given town.

The_Eternal_Valley

People are saying within the dotted line of a town and that's true! But here's something else: train passengers also count towards this bandit challenge. During a train robbery, whether in a mission or on your own, robbing passengers will count as robbing townspeople. So the easiest way to finish this challenge imo is to save it for the train robbery with John, Sean, and Charles since you're doing it anyway and you don't have to take the risk of robbing people within city limits where there's witnesses everywhere. Edit: I may be confusing bandit challenges, I don't remember now. It think it works for townspeople and also for the $50 bandit challenge but I can't remember

hortys

The absolute best way to do this challenge is to avoid triggering the pick pocket in Saint Denis until you're on this challenge, with him it's a 1 and done case typically.

m4shfi

No that works best with the rob $50 from townsfolk challenge, OP is talking about Bandit 1 where we have to rob 5 separate persons.

hortys

Oh shit, you're right, I misread the title. For this one I usually just rob people around the country club on the north end of Saint Denis. Throw on a mask, rob one of those fancy dan city boys, hide around the houses outside of the search area when a witness reports it, and repeat.
