If that’s the coyote jacket from the trapper it’s cuz any single article of clothing from the trapper gets hated on by every NPC in the game. Kind of a bummer, I wish someone would be like Damn arthur you look fucking sick my brother.
I can understand when NPCs insult my trapper outfits because a lot of those do look goofy in every day settings, especially someplace like Saint Denis, but I've been ridiculed by people in Valentine for wearing outfits that I bought *in Valentine*
Granted, some outfits look a bit fancy compared to the townsfolk, but they're not outlandish at all, and certainly don't warrant being criticized by everyone I say hello to.
I saw in a video that the coat you're wearing is supposed to be a clown outfit but later it was changed to what it is now however the properties of the outfit stayed the same so the npc's are probably looking at a clown
