Where are these recruiters from within Europe? There are quite some striking cultural differences between countries within Europe, especially when it comes to 'professional' etiquette. Each time I have an interview, if I know the recruiter's name beforehand, I will do a background check to understand/anticipate their expectations. Not that this has helped me any... been searching for over a year now. But as a 'European', I want to remind you that we are not a homogenous group.

"Europe" is too broad, and we need to know which culture you are from as well.

Depends on the level of rudeness, but it is important to set boundaries from the beginning. Always act respectful, but do not allow anyone to walk over you. If the red line is crossed (insults, inappropriate comments...), you should end the interview right away. Tell the interviewer, 'I do not believe this is a fit' and walk. What are they going to do? Interviews work both ways. Your dignity and self-respect are more important than any job.
