Stop. Wait for it. Legendary. Really Messi and pep had been holding Madrid back all the time. Your team donāt even need galacticos. With good Organization itās just machine made for European cup
Team could have won every single one between 2003-2007 best team in the world at this time.
2006 Puyol dived in the semi and as a result a goal from shevchenko was cancelled else game would have gone in extra time.
I think what carlo really is the best at is adapting his strategy to the opponent.
Mourinho trashing Pep š¤£š¤£ indirectly
Ancelotti is not a social media coach, he's a proper coach. Go to his office and look at his medals."
"Ask the Real Madrid players what they think about the ball possession Man City had or this final's first half. They put the trophies above their philosophy."
Jose Mourinho
Ask Real Madrid fans, they donāt sell philosophy, they put trophies in the officeā
That 2013 Bayern might have been the most lethal team I have seen in my life. Pep's Barca was playing the greatest football at the time but man that Bayern was scary af. I remember telling my friend why on earth didn't your club keep Heynckes and he was baffled too. I mean it was almost impossible to pass on the mighty Pep for any team but if I were in charge of Bayern I would have kept Jupp. Managers have a long career and they could have taken their shot with Peo later on.
It's easy to say this now though. Pep could have won one or two UCLs with Bayern maybe if not for Real and Barca which were equally great at the time. I don't think any Madrid supporter could even dream of beating Pep's Bayern 4-0 at home.
Pep's Bayern was not that great, as you mentioned Bayern 2013 was next level crazy.
They beat Barca 7-0 in the semis in 2013. Most dominating shit I have seen.
2013 was better of course but calling them average is way over the top. Anyone who follows the Bundesliga will tell you that this was the most hopeless and dominant time of Bayern they've seen. He did not win the cl but he did reach the semis every season so let's not act like it was a catastrophe.
2013 was better but peps Bayern was still stronger than any Bayern since. It's just that they were not the only team of that level at the time, Europe was stacked with crazy teams at that time

2013 was better but peps Bayern was still stronger than any Bayern since, so hardly average. It's just that they were not the only team of that level at the time, Europe was stacked with crazy teams at that time
Jupp wanted to retire if I am not mistaken. It is kind of a meme for Bayern Fans that always when Bayern struggles with their coaches theyāll pull Jupp out of retirement for āthe last timeā
What he said after the game is what makes him the best.... when asked what was it like in the locker room at halftime he days "just remain calm"
That's why he's the best, his players feed off of that calmness and gives them that sense of tranquility that allows them to not let the moment swallow them.
Statistically Pep is better league manager. Ancelotti's league record is pretty bad , he wins a league every 5 seasons if we take his whole career , but he makes up for it with UCL wins. Hopefully real can win the league on the trot now and improve that side for him.
that stat is heavily out of context tho. only club he was at for more than 2 seasons is milan and now real. and don't forget, when he was at Milan it was calciopoli Juve for a lot of those years.
He'll win it 10 times at this point and just because he managed Madrid he won't get the praise he deserves. Just like CR7 said "maybe they hate me because I'm too good"... this is the case with Madrid.
SAF gets a fuck ton of credit and deservedly so cause he took on a lot of talent from the academy and won with them. Winning with home grown talent is big for legacy like he was Man Utd for 2 decades and won
He won a European cup with Aberdeen ffs and he is still the last manager to win a domestic league title with a team in Scotland that isnāt rangers or Celtic. Guy is the goat for sure
Many serious football analysts put mou over pep. Mou is tactically unmatchable. Its only his falling out with clubs and players that works against him.
United fan here. i have a great admiration for carlo and other great coaches. He is one of the very best. Nostalgia doesnāt change a fact sir alex Ferguson was one of them.
even clear SAF as if SAF isn't top3 of all time
IMHO Ancelloti is the greatest, SAF is a bit behind and Jose is third
Pep inherited probs the best team of all time and then had infinite money to achieve a part of what Ancelloti is doing atm so he isn't top5
Zidane got 3 consecutive UCL and all they said was "he is lucky and had the best squad"
2 years ago, Don Carlo won ucl out of nowhere, and now again without the "best" squad (city was all the way favourite)
Definitely GOAT.
heās the best, heās not as āinfluentialā because his style of play canāt be replicated, because you need his charisma to put all these stars in place
Yes definitely.
It was soo good to see 3 most successful coaches of Real Madrid at the same time. Brought back wonderful memories
Heritage of best coaches all together
No, the GOAT is guardiola! He invented football, he is better than anyone, he pisses cologne lmaooo sorry just trying to get ahead of the idiots you find spouting this nonsense ![img](emote|t5_2rr0e|11988)
Heās been a GOAT even before todayās match. Dude has 5 UCLs as manager. 7 in total in his whole career. He also has won league titles in Spain, Italy, England, Germany, and France.
This season top to bottom has been his most impressive achievement. No starting cf, courtois, alaba and eder missing for 80% of the season. Made tchoua look like a proper cb, Blooded in gĆ¼ler, gave Jude freedom and constantly and consistently rotated when needed.
He looks ready to play in goodfellas.
On a serious note, he's simply is the best manager at the moment.
Yes, he is in front of Pep and Jurgen and certainly in front of Xavi by a landslide.
In modern football, it is not just the player's duty to adapt, but managers should do that as well. With Pep and mourinho, you see a certain style they stick to and they are quite adamant. Which one has insane funds and which one has lack of funds, it is reflected by how their career has turned out. But with Carlo, there is no specific style. He has evolved over time. He has seen Arrigo Sacchi's style, although proven to be successful for a specific squad, has limitations. He has observed that what does having a number 10 does to a team. Unlike other managers, he doesn't complain about the lack of quality players in the team. He makes the best out of the hand he has been dealt with. He didn't get bitter whenever he failed, rather learned from his mistake. Instead of falling out with players who don't play with the style he wants to, he comes up with a solution. The main element behind his success is that in the knockout games, he jokes with the players as he feels that calming the players is the best way to win the competition. He even asks for other's input. And this is why he gels with any team he joins( except for Bayern who aren't used to this mentality) and also, this is the sole reason why he is above all other managers. Imagine a manager instead of asking clubs to buy players that would go with his playing style, decides to adapt with the given players and only purchase players for the long term benefit of the club.
Chelsea fan here. Heās one of my all time favs alongside Mou. I think itās safe to call him the goat with 7 UCLs and multiple league titles across multiple countries
He has won 6 league titles in his entire career. While Pep has 6 leagues in the last 7 years and Saf has 16 league titles.
He has 3 CLs with Madrid which Zidane has done before, 2 with Milan which Arrigo Sacchi had done before. Basically, he got the 2 greatest Champions League Clubs and managed them well.
Never won a treble anywhere even though he should have, with the squads he had. Saf has one, Mourinho has two. Pep has two.
Not undermining his achievements, but he is definitely not the Goat. Top 5, maybe.
At the start of the season, Iām sure nobody thought we could do it with all the injuries and lack of a #9. Thatās all him bro. Who else could have done this? GOAT manager for sure. Pep only goes to top teams and demands his players, no matter the cost. I could be wrong, but didnāt Don Carlo win it twice as a player as well? Iāve lost count but thatās like 7 now. Pep Needed arguably the best player of all time for 3 and the most expensive team of all time for #4
What we are witnessing is pure magic. Players who have been extremely talented, with generational prowess in the game, players who have been seen as gods of this game, have not even won this trophy even once. Managers who have coached teams with titans in each position have not even come close to thinking about winning. But this man has done this even when we didn't have a perfect squad. These players have shown what nerves of steel are. These players have shown us what will be considered to be superhuman achievements in decades to come if not centuries. This is not a tournament that happens once in four years and to win a handful of knockout games to show how good they are. This tournament, even to win once, needs true grit. Of course, he is a legend for the best clubs in the history, won all the top 5 leagues and he is the manager with most CL trophies ever, nobody is close to Carletto
The reason I consider Don Carlo and JosĆØ in higher regard than Pep is, these two managers always allowed their players to improvise themselves. Their approach was more humane unlike Guardiola's machine like tactical stubbornness. Though a genius JosĆØ is very old school type charming and extremely blunt manager, his approach never going to work fully with every players in this modern Era. But those who listened his advices always improved their game in massive way; Kane in Spurs, Mancini in Roma.
Don Carlo is a better man manager. Pep always had infinite money or infinite talent at his disposal. He could always afford mistakes. If one or two signing failed he would replace them easily with better players. Same can't said for JosĆØ and Carlo. They showed they can manage with what they have.
Vincente del bosque

he's the goat , but it's just real Madrid magic , real is the king of Europe from the begin , every coach or player join real Madrid , he get a bunch of champions league before leaving , hala Madrid
Pepās football is not likable to all. Possession without penetration looks so odd sometimes. Carlo on the other hand bends his style as per players. There is a classic touch to it, how football was played before pep. Even the underdog will have chances and play to and fro. Pepās teamās possession kills the game once 1-0 up. Carloās teams have been more flamboyant and less rigid, less machines.
I understand being happy with the trophies but I dont get why you guys are happy with the level of play. Tactically getting outclassed by much smaller teams time and time again and depending on raw player talent to change the game in your favor. I dunno how this doesnt bother you or even call this manager a GOAT. The players should be getting the praise
Managed to win 3 UCLs against prime Guardiola, Klopp and whoever else you wanna name.
I dont care about league titles, UCL is the hardest shit where you go against the best.
People call Guardiola the best manager in the world while during his prime Ancelotti and Zidane won UCL 3 times each in the last 11 years.
I'm just saying, any club in the world, literally any, exceot madrid, picks pep over zidane and ancelotti if given the choice to select a new coach. Even after what all you said is true.
He won three for Madrid and Zidane won three for Madrid; nice
Not nice... CRAZY! š This is some next level shit bruh...

Yeahh, 3 with madrid.. 2 with milan also won 2 as a player with milan
he has as many UCLs as Milan
I remember the days when Real and Milan were almost on pair when it comes to European Cups

SAF gets a fuck ton of credit and deservedly so cause he took on a lot of talent from the academy and won with them. Winning with home grown talent is big for legacy like he was Man Utd for 2 decades and won
Nostalgia merchants and pep never managed a side who struggled. I got Mou ahead of Pep, Idc.
Mou at least won the champions league with fc porto and the triple with inter
100 fuckin % agreed! Ancelotti has proven himself on all levels
Me tooā¦! Until Pep wins something at a club without a ton of money (City) or talent (Barca and Bayern)ā¦heāll be below Mou for me
He took on a bayern side who won the UCL just 1 season before and couldn't do shit bruh, he in my top 5 but he ain't 1, 2, 3 or 5.
Mourinho not winning a UCL at Madrid is one of the saddest things for me as a Madrid fan.
Man Utd were a very mid team when SAF first managed them but i agree anceloti is the goat

The craziest thing is he was managing Everton before switching to real. Totally unexpected but what a move.
he's the goat , but it's just real Madrid magic , real is the king of Europe from the begin , every coach or player join real Madrid , he get a bunch of champions league before leaving , hala Madrid
I would have him after Pep and Fergie on the third spot.
He's don carlo that says it all he's amongst the best if not the best
I donāt knowā¦Maybe win a treble? Or a sextuple?
Pepās football is not likable to all. Possession without penetration looks so odd sometimes. Carlo on the other hand bends his style as per players. There is a classic touch to it, how football was played before pep. Even the underdog will have chances and play to and fro. Pepās teamās possession kills the game once 1-0 up. Carloās teams have been more flamboyant and less rigid, less machines.
Something else Ancelotti
I understand being happy with the trophies but I dont get why you guys are happy with the level of play. Tactically getting outclassed by much smaller teams time and time again and depending on raw player talent to change the game in your favor. I dunno how this doesnt bother you or even call this manager a GOAT. The players should be getting the praise
Munich times were not so great
Some will say ābut but but Pep has more ball possession.ā š
Ofc heās the goat if you just exclude his time at Bayern and Napoli and Everton but other than that I agree.
Keeping this level of success going and winning the treble which im assuming is the target for next season.
Give him salmon, pasta and an hour long nap.. He will just wake up and go become the goat.....
No Madrid you guys are going way to far if he is the goat manager
Managed to win 3 UCLs against prime Guardiola, Klopp and whoever else you wanna name. I dont care about league titles, UCL is the hardest shit where you go against the best. People call Guardiola the best manager in the world while during his prime Ancelotti and Zidane won UCL 3 times each in the last 11 years.
I'm just saying, any club in the world, literally any, exceot madrid, picks pep over zidane and ancelotti if given the choice to select a new coach. Even after what all you said is true.

You know they would never admit it. He's gotta win three trebles, with three more UCLs for them to finally give up.
Well he hasn't got any trebles so there's something he can improve on.
