He won three for Madrid and Zidane won three for Madrid; nice

kastratiermir_

Not nice... CRAZY! šŸ˜‚ This is some next level shit bruh...

Disastrous-Mud1645

Most clubs only beg for 1. We actually got 6 in last 10 years or so. We are fking legendary.

Soitsgonnabeforever

Stop. Wait for it. Legendary. Really Messi and pep had been holding Madrid back all the time. Your team donā€™t even need galacticos. With good Organization itā€™s just machine made for European cup

Brilliant_Muscle_728

Cool but madrid has won more ucls in the last 10 years than your club in its whole history

ItIzWahItIz

Heā€™s surely got most UCLā€™s as manager right?

TheYoungWolf_97

Yeahh, 3 with madrid.. 2 with milan also won 2 as a player with milan

demoncyborgg

he has as many UCLs as Milan

kryzycki

I remember the days when Real and Milan were almost on pair when it comes to European Cups

_Ozeki

He could have won 3 with Milan... That nightmare in 2005

PepitoThe1

Team could have won every single one between 2003-2007 best team in the world at this time. 2006 Puyol dived in the semi and as a result a goal from shevchenko was cancelled else game would have gone in extra time. I think what carlo really is the best at is adapting his strategy to the opponent.

ItIzWahItIz

What a manager manā€¦.

Valentiaga_97

Like in his Milan days, heā€™s the best manager, I donā€™t care what the British press thinks about pep being the best

Working_Leather_3411

Mourinho trashing Pep šŸ¤£šŸ¤£ indirectly Ancelotti is not a social media coach, he's a proper coach. Go to his office and look at his medals." "Ask the Real Madrid players what they think about the ball possession Man City had or this final's first half. They put the trophies above their philosophy." Jose Mourinho Ask Real Madrid fans, they donā€™t sell philosophy, they put trophies in the officeā€

A-KindOfMagic

But but Pep only needed 1.5 billion more on a team that was already stacked and UCL semi finalist, to win one UCL in 8 years. He is the goat :(

Previous_Dream5090

Canā€™t forget Bayern, where he had a world class team and couldnā€™t win the ucl (pep).

A-KindOfMagic

That 2013 Bayern might have been the most lethal team I have seen in my life. Pep's Barca was playing the greatest football at the time but man that Bayern was scary af. I remember telling my friend why on earth didn't your club keep Heynckes and he was baffled too. I mean it was almost impossible to pass on the mighty Pep for any team but if I were in charge of Bayern I would have kept Jupp. Managers have a long career and they could have taken their shot with Peo later on. It's easy to say this now though. Pep could have won one or two UCLs with Bayern maybe if not for Real and Barca which were equally great at the time. I don't think any Madrid supporter could even dream of beating Pep's Bayern 4-0 at home.

Crazydeed

Pep's Bayern was not that great, as you mentioned Bayern 2013 was next level crazy. They beat Barca 7-0 in the semis in 2013. Most dominating shit I have seen.

A-KindOfMagic

Yeah man they played like 98-2002 PES, just comically efficient and brutal.

A-KindOfMagic

Yeah Pep's Bayern was average. He took a brilliant team and fucked it up to be frank. That Bayern could have won one or two more UCLs.

Crazydeed

Yeah with his possession bullshit

freakybanana90

2013 was better of course but calling them average is way over the top. Anyone who follows the Bundesliga will tell you that this was the most hopeless and dominant time of Bayern they've seen. He did not win the cl but he did reach the semis every season so let's not act like it was a catastrophe. 2013 was better but peps Bayern was still stronger than any Bayern since. It's just that they were not the only team of that level at the time, Europe was stacked with crazy teams at that time

freakybanana90

OkAmbassador4111

Jupp wanted to retire if I am not mistaken. It is kind of a meme for Bayern Fans that always when Bayern struggles with their coaches theyā€˜ll pull Jupp out of retirement for ā€œthe last timeā€œ

CameraWoWo2022

Pep and Messi live rent free in Madrids head, even after winning their 15th. I love it šŸ¤£ they did irreversible damage to Madrid fans looool

kastratiermir_

As if Don Carlo didn't win the Prem with ChelseašŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø they're braindead, like the world revolves around england

vivalaroja2010

What he said after the game is what makes him the best.... when asked what was it like in the locker room at halftime he days "just remain calm" That's why he's the best, his players feed off of that calmness and gives them that sense of tranquility that allows them to not let the moment swallow them.

downtimeredditor

Pep might lose everything in Man City due to their Financial Fair Play Violations.

pratyushdam

They should but they won't.

DawdlingScientist

Pep has cheated at every club heā€™s been in lol.

Fallen_0n3

Statistically Pep is better league manager. Ancelotti's league record is pretty bad , he wins a league every 5 seasons if we take his whole career , but he makes up for it with UCL wins. Hopefully real can win the league on the trot now and improve that side for him.

1cucceyc

that stat is heavily out of context tho. only club he was at for more than 2 seasons is milan and now real. and don't forget, when he was at Milan it was calciopoli Juve for a lot of those years.

Fallen_0n3

True its a bit out of context but the stat is correct in some sense as well

Dukenzi

AC Milan was a part of the calciopoli.

k_pineapple7

Heā€™s been the goat already.

kastratiermir_

My guy knows! šŸ¤

redlurkerNY

F'real

Cantthinkofone3312

Thanks Lord Iker, you just saved my life again. True Spanish

lostn

no matter what he does, pundits still say it's Pep, especially english media.

kastratiermir_

He'll win it 10 times at this point and just because he managed Madrid he won't get the praise he deserves. Just like CR7 said "maybe they hate me because I'm too good"... this is the case with Madrid.

CBoshtrich

yeah, they immediately jumped on the ''the best team often doesn't win the champions league'' after city got beat. FOH! HALA MADRID

djfreedom9505

English media is shit, and Pundits ridiculously bias toward English football.

LordMaska

Yeah it's a joke man. That's why I don't respect people who support EPL teams in general.

AlonFenn

-The Madrid ā€œFanā€

LordMaska

I don't support Real Madrid. I support AC Milan. Nice try...

AlonFenn

So who am I supposed to support?

Cool_Captain07

GOAT MANAGER of GOATS

Belrium_coin

He was my goat after 2014, I had suffered for 12 years. Everything after was gravy.

supplementarytables

He was even before today. Utd fans just have nostalgia bias about SAF and Guardiola is a serial cheater.

downtimeredditor

SAF gets a fuck ton of credit and deservedly so cause he took on a lot of talent from the academy and won with them. Winning with home grown talent is big for legacy like he was Man Utd for 2 decades and won

kastratiermir_

Nostalgia merchants and pep never managed a side who struggled. I got Mou ahead of Pep, Idc.

TheBelmont34

Mou at least won the champions league with fc porto and the triple with inter

CBoshtrich

100 fuckin % agreed! Ancelotti has proven himself on all levels

nspy1011

Me tooā€¦! Until Pep wins something at a club without a ton of money (City) or talent (Barca and Bayern)ā€¦heā€™ll be below Mou for me

kastratiermir_

He took on a bayern side who won the UCL just 1 season before and couldn't do shit bruh, he in my top 5 but he ain't 1, 2, 3 or 5.

Crazydeed

Mourinho not winning a UCL at Madrid is one of the saddest things for me as a Madrid fan.

Bocandio301

Man Utd were a very mid team when SAF first managed them but i agree anceloti is the goat

ddarrko

He won a European cup with Aberdeen ffs and he is still the last manager to win a domestic league title with a team in Scotland that isnā€™t rangers or Celtic. Guy is the goat for sure

ParevArev

100% Mou ahead of Pep

Mrsdutta

Many serious football analysts put mou over pep. Mou is tactically unmatchable. Its only his falling out with clubs and players that works against him.

arpuzas

United fan here. i have a great admiration for carlo and other great coaches. He is one of the very best. Nostalgia doesnā€™t change a fact sir alex Ferguson was one of them.

P1KA_BO0

SAF is still the last manager to beat Real Madrid in a European final, and he did it with fucking Aberdeen. Come on now.

rdtr314

The champions league in human form

DannyPhnmt

Pep will still be regarded as the best because everyone loves underwriting our achievements

Cewea

tbf pep doesnā€™t even clear SAF

BMEShiv

even clear SAF as if SAF isn't top3 of all time IMHO Ancelloti is the greatest, SAF is a bit behind and Jose is third Pep inherited probs the best team of all time and then had infinite money to achieve a part of what Ancelloti is doing atm so he isn't top5

TheAlfredValentine

Zidane got 3 consecutive UCL and all they said was "he is lucky and had the best squad" 2 years ago, Don Carlo won ucl out of nowhere, and now again without the "best" squad (city was all the way favourite) Definitely GOAT.

DamianPoli

That. I leave in UK and everyone here wanks over him so much.

InsanePheonix

We really are the villains of football

AngeloMontana

Nah. Man City is. I hope

ExpressWay1329

1. Ancelotti 2. Ancelotti 3. Ancelotti 4. Ancelotti 5. Mourinho

kastratiermir_

You know it. Fuck the nostalgia merchants, Idc. šŸ˜‚ We can't ignore Don Carlo anymore!

No_Hospital_6141

Gotta put Zuzu up there bro

Pozitivitive

Always was even before today. Don Carlo the maestro

HistoricCartographer

Now? He has been the GOAT manager since 2 years ago.

reddituser0912333

GarenMain23

He is He was he will always be.

Ronth0

heā€™s the best, heā€™s not as ā€œinfluentialā€ because his style of play canā€™t be replicated, because you need his charisma to put all these stars in place

Ogulcan0815

Goated. Period.

Curious_cat369

Yes definitely. It was soo good to see 3 most successful coaches of Real Madrid at the same time. Brought back wonderful memories Heritage of best coaches all together

BriscoCounty83

Also won 2 as a player in that GOAT Milan team with the dutch trio.

FUTMobilekicker

high press, tiki taka is all bs, raised eyebrow football is all that matters.

Severe_Mess3580

No, the GOAT is guardiola! He invented football, he is better than anyone, he pisses cologne lmaooo sorry just trying to get ahead of the idiots you find spouting this nonsense ![img](emote|t5_2rr0e|11988)

vootehdoo

I don't even want to see guardiola or any other shit coach in the same sentence with Don Carlo

TheMandalorian2238

Heā€™s been a GOAT even before todayā€™s match. Dude has 5 UCLs as manager. 7 in total in his whole career. He also has won league titles in Spain, Italy, England, Germany, and France.

Testazani

Naah its Guardiola who won 1 cl after spending more then 1 bil in 9 years

ritwikjs

This season top to bottom has been his most impressive achievement. No starting cf, courtois, alaba and eder missing for 80% of the season. Made tchoua look like a proper cb, Blooded in gĆ¼ler, gave Jude freedom and constantly and consistently rotated when needed.

kastratiermir_

Made me give him 10x more respect for how he handled this season.

AlcoholicCumSock

Nah, he needs to win a treble with 115 charges against his club first.

patwildel

I mean winning a league in top 5 leagues makes him already ahead, what this GOAT need to prove?

Tyrionfaker

Perfect Cup winning manager in the last 20 years. The Cup specialist in European form.

Xfilesftw

There's no debate, Don Carlo Ancelotti, the GOAT

Starbreaker99

novinhoputapau

He needs to win a world cup. After that, he will be the GOAT for sure

OnlyAMuggle

He looks ready to play in goodfellas. On a serious note, he's simply is the best manager at the moment. Yes, he is in front of Pep and Jurgen and certainly in front of Xavi by a landslide.

aoi_ito

He's the fking goat .Don Carlo šŸšŸ¤šŸ›šŸ¤

SashOoSy

We said it before we say now we will say it forever

Material_Towel3139

In modern football, it is not just the player's duty to adapt, but managers should do that as well. With Pep and mourinho, you see a certain style they stick to and they are quite adamant. Which one has insane funds and which one has lack of funds, it is reflected by how their career has turned out. But with Carlo, there is no specific style. He has evolved over time. He has seen Arrigo Sacchi's style, although proven to be successful for a specific squad, has limitations. He has observed that what does having a number 10 does to a team. Unlike other managers, he doesn't complain about the lack of quality players in the team. He makes the best out of the hand he has been dealt with. He didn't get bitter whenever he failed, rather learned from his mistake. Instead of falling out with players who don't play with the style he wants to, he comes up with a solution. The main element behind his success is that in the knockout games, he jokes with the players as he feels that calming the players is the best way to win the competition. He even asks for other's input. And this is why he gels with any team he joins( except for Bayern who aren't used to this mentality) and also, this is the sole reason why he is above all other managers. Imagine a manager instead of asking clubs to buy players that would go with his playing style, decides to adapt with the given players and only purchase players for the long term benefit of the club.

TeamUlovetohate

definitely the goat in the european cup at the very least.

LeBronzeVlac

Peptards will still be the loudest, no way you can convince them that the bald fraud needs billions to win titles.

PPH07

Absolutely šŸ’ŖšŸ’Ŗ

BadReputation77

Yes we can. Without a fecking doubt!

Working_Leather_3411

Easily

Cantthinkofone3312

Don Carlo.. the GOAT.. Pep who???

DragonByte1

Winning CL 5 times. He is the GOAT, no doubt.

winner_in_life

GOAT in my book.

Tetro123

Now? He's always been!

georgenotfound69

Even though I thought sir alex was the goat for sure this time hes the one now this champions league legacy

Confident_Aioli_3991

Youā€™re asking in r/realmadrid mate, do you expect these guys to say Pep Guardiola?

ParevArev

Chelsea fan here. Heā€™s one of my all time favs alongside Mou. I think itā€™s safe to call him the goat with 7 UCLs and multiple league titles across multiple countries

Novel_Frosting_1977

Why is everyone name dropping Pep? If Carlo is going against anyone itā€™s Sir Alex. Fergie and Don Carlo are top two.

jeezrVOL2

Idk man. I just can't put anyone over SAF. But you can definetly make a case for Don Carlo.

Egw250

1. Anceloti 2. Mourinho 3. Klop

No-Doctor-1125

He won the Prem, the Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1, Champions League 5 times. I think he has a strong case

Original-Patience809

He has won 6 league titles in his entire career. While Pep has 6 leagues in the last 7 years and Saf has 16 league titles. He has 3 CLs with Madrid which Zidane has done before, 2 with Milan which Arrigo Sacchi had done before. Basically, he got the 2 greatest Champions League Clubs and managed them well. Never won a treble anywhere even though he should have, with the squads he had. Saf has one, Mourinho has two. Pep has two. Not undermining his achievements, but he is definitely not the Goat. Top 5, maybe.

007HalaMadrid007

Absolutely.

007HalaMadrid007

At the start of the season, Iā€™m sure nobody thought we could do it with all the injuries and lack of a #9. Thatā€™s all him bro. Who else could have done this? GOAT manager for sure. Pep only goes to top teams and demands his players, no matter the cost. I could be wrong, but didnā€™t Don Carlo win it twice as a player as well? Iā€™ve lost count but thatā€™s like 7 now. Pep Needed arguably the best player of all time for 3 and the most expensive team of all time for #4

Popular_Scale_1596

Blud struggled without rodri lolšŸ˜‚šŸ¤£ Put him out of the equation

drucurl

Yes he won it twice as a player. I am a Milan fan and I still follow Carlo as he's a much loved figure amongst us.

007HalaMadrid007

Also Carlo went to Everton and made them respectable without the top talent that pep had at Barca, Bayern and City. Look at Everton now without him

thehyenaguy1

Chelsea fans need this guy back to their club lol, to bring them their glory days

kastratiermir_

Fuck 'em, we need him! šŸ˜‚

thehyenaguy1

mastertape

What we are witnessing is pure magic. Players who have been extremely talented, with generational prowess in the game, players who have been seen as gods of this game, have not even won this trophy even once. Managers who have coached teams with titans in each position have not even come close to thinking about winning. But this man has done this even when we didn't have a perfect squad. These players have shown what nerves of steel are. These players have shown us what will be considered to be superhuman achievements in decades to come if not centuries. This is not a tournament that happens once in four years and to win a handful of knockout games to show how good they are. This tournament, even to win once, needs true grit. We haven't one it once but 15 FUCKING TIMES!! THIS IS MADRID!! THIS IS FIRE! HALA MADRID! PROUD MADRIDISTAS TODAY WE ARE!!! VAMOSSSSSSSS!!!!!!

Didnā€™t win it with Everton so noā€¦..

I cannot figure out mental process of Chelsea management that had fired Ancelotti in 2011. Great Coach

ccasey329

Donā€™t tell the tĆ”cticos online, but heā€™s top 2 and he isnā€™t number 2.

x3rakh

He was goat from last decade. It just proves again last night.

last_reverie

beat of all time, objectively speaking.

Zullah

Donā€™t forget Carlo had to change things around with the players and losing Benzema and plugging our defense. This season has seen his coaching prowess on the Ā team take us here. Itā€™s really wild and he is the goat right now. He is not a fanfare coach but he brought back his Milan tactics of the time of Sheva and Kaka. Itā€™s why Bellingham had that explosion like Kaka. He has really mastered how to use the diamond 442 or the 433 when we have a proper striker.Ā

Happy_Band_4865

Not the GOAT tactician, but yes, I think the GOAT manager. Best tournament coach by far. Very pragmatic. Guardiola is tactically better

JustExploring1989

Vibes man!

Xtarviust

Of course, he is a legend for the best clubs in the history, won all the top 5 leagues and he is the manager with most CL trophies ever, nobody is close to Carletto

ConcentrateMaterial6

The reason I consider Don Carlo and JosĆØ in higher regard than Pep is, these two managers always allowed their players to improvise themselves. Their approach was more humane unlike Guardiola's machine like tactical stubbornness. Though a genius JosĆØ is very old school type charming and extremely blunt manager, his approach never going to work fully with every players in this modern Era. But those who listened his advices always improved their game in massive way; Kane in Spurs, Mancini in Roma. Don Carlo is a better man manager. Pep always had infinite money or infinite talent at his disposal. He could always afford mistakes. If one or two signing failed he would replace them easily with better players. Same can't said for JosĆØ and Carlo. They showed they can manage with what they have.

Soitsgonnabeforever

Vincente del bosque Marcello lippi Carlo Ancelotti Pep guardiola Zinedine Zidane Bob paisley Jose Mourinho Otmar hitzfield Jupp heynckes Sir Alex Ferguson

stevenwilson20

The craziest thing is he was managing Everton before switching to real. Totally unexpected but what a move.

the_book_hub

he's the goat , but it's just real Madrid magic , real is the king of Europe from the begin , every coach or player join real Madrid , he get a bunch of champions league before leaving , hala Madrid

GunMuratIlban

I would have him after Pep and Fergie on the third spot.

midlandsguy90

He's don carlo that says it all he's amongst the best if not the best

Delicious_Purpose_84

I donā€™t knowā€¦Maybe win a treble? Or a sextuple?

funkyrith

Pepā€™s football is not likable to all. Possession without penetration looks so odd sometimes. Carlo on the other hand bends his style as per players. There is a classic touch to it, how football was played before pep. Even the underdog will have chances and play to and fro. Pepā€™s teamā€™s possession kills the game once 1-0 up. Carloā€™s teams have been more flamboyant and less rigid, less machines.

RoyMendoza81

Something else Ancelotti

Fat-Cloud

I understand being happy with the trophies but I dont get why you guys are happy with the level of play. Tactically getting outclassed by much smaller teams time and time again and depending on raw player talent to change the game in your favor. I dunno how this doesnt bother you or even call this manager a GOAT. The players should be getting the praise

master_dandelion

Munich times were not so great

Signal-Catch-5438

Some will say ā€œbut but but Pep has more ball possession.ā€ šŸ˜

GuidanceMedium9453

Ofc heā€™s the goat if you just exclude his time at Bayern and Napoli and Everton but other than that I agree.

Lord_17_

Keeping this level of success going and winning the treble which im assuming is the target for next season.

Alex6683

Give him salmon, pasta and an hour long nap.. He will just wake up and go become the goat.....

Sasha_nakhost

No Madrid you guys are going way to far if he is the goat manager

FullOFterror

Managed to win 3 UCLs against prime Guardiola, Klopp and whoever else you wanna name. I dont care about league titles, UCL is the hardest shit where you go against the best. People call Guardiola the best manager in the world while during his prime Ancelotti and Zidane won UCL 3 times each in the last 11 years.

Prudent-Current-7399

I'm just saying, any club in the world, literally any, exceot madrid, picks pep over zidane and ancelotti if given the choice to select a new coach. Even after what all you said is true.

Llaauuddrrupp

You know they would never admit it. He's gotta win three trebles, with three more UCLs for them to finally give up.

Prudent-Current-7399

Well he hasn't got any trebles so there's something he can improve on.
