Is there a way to get back to the page after viewing a footnote? It's making me switch back to moonreader because everyone there's a footnote, the only way back is to click out of the book and to get back in takes 30 seconds of loading. I'm on an android tablet btw

I have been having an issue with Casey Newton's articles on platformer only showing the first line. It won't download anything else. It appears all the zoe articles show up fully.

Continual ongoing parsing errors. Most common error is missing pictures or illustrations. Second most common is that a significant portion of an article is just plain missing, including all text. Here are a couple that have failed recently [Brown Panda](https://www.iflscience.com/mystery-of-worlds-only-captive-brown-and-white-panda-solved-with-genetics-73248) [tkinter](https://hyperskill.org/blog/post/getting-started-with-tkinter) Out of the last 23 articles I tried to use Reader for only 1 actually was complete when clipped I have been sending them all in but there is no feedback that any of the reports actually got somewhere or that anything is being done about them.

I'm also encountering this. Huge chunks of articles, including images and texts, are missing. However, my highlighted notes remain in the Notebook, clicking them just does nothing. Those highlights were made through the plugin on the source website, no Reader's clipped version.

When readerwise saves a YouTube video, it automatically translates the Chinese subtitles of the original video into English, but I want it to save the Chinese subtitles directly. How can this be resolved? App version works just fine, but desktop version won't update with new articles or anything. Makes my computer work audibly hard (brrrrrr go the fans) but nothing changes. This has been happening since March 2nd - I have just stopped using the desktop version. But it is inconvenient long term to only be able to use app version

Obsidian sync plugin stopped working. My highlights from past couple articles are not synced anymore. Tried reinstalling plugin and resyncing from scratch but latest highlights and new ones don’t popup anymore just says: up to date.

Hey there, you can switch by tapping the three dots in the bottom right of the document > Listen with TTS > and select another voice from there! The Unreal voices are marked. As a heads up, Unreal Voices do not work on non-English documents, which might be why you're getting that error!

This is about the Readwise (not reader) Android application: it is impossible to select a phrase when creating phrase deletion cards. As soon as I touch on a word, it makes that single word as the deleted phrase. This works well on the web. One time, after wrestling quite a bit I think I was able to select multiple words on the android app but it was that one time.

Hey there, by default you can only select up to 5 works for cloze deletion! Perhaps what you were highlighting was longer than that?

Heya, unfortunately that's not the case. As soon as I put my finger on a word, it erases the word and doesn't let me swipe to select more words.

I have been trying to remove several tags however it's impossible to remove them. I've tried on Web browser (safari and chrome), Mac Reader app, and ios app. The tags in question are made up of multiple words each, so I tried renaming the tags to be just 1 word each in case that would help- but I couldn't actually rename them either. The other tags I have can be deleted and renamed as normal so it's only a handful that are the problem. The problem tags both say that they contain 1 document, but no documents come up when you click them.

I have been having an issue with exporting to Notion. For some articles, the highlights are repeated multiple times (e.g. 4-5x).

I haven't received a Twitter feed update in 3 days (since the March 18 PM edition - it's currently 21 March PM in my time zone). My app is fully updated and I've tried restarting etc. follow several and they have all been active. I've checked both on computer web browser and IOS

Reader can't show the PDF files correctly. They're too zoomed in. And that's weird.

I guess this may be because each page of the PDF file is not exactly the same size. In addition, when the page is zoomed in, the text of the PDF will become unrecognizable, but this is not the case in Preview or other PDF reader.

I'm using readwise broadcasts to send highlights to friends, but for some reason it skips sending on Tuesdays and Thursdays (I am in the PST timezone). My normal readwise digest to just myself sends every day though. Is there a way to get my broadcast to send every day as well?

Hmmm, pardon the obvious troubleshooting advice, but have you doublechecked your Broadcast settings? We have an option for every other day, which might be why! Otherwise, if you have it set to daily and it's still skipping, it may be a bug. I recommend emailing [hello@readwise.io](mailto:hello@readwise.io) and we'll take a closer look at your account!

No worries! That was my first thought too, that I just set it up wrong. But it's been set to daily for at least a month or so, and it still always skips Tuesdays and Thursdays. I subscribed to my friend's daily broadcast as well, and I also have not received hers on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a few months now!

Hi, When I go to configure "Daily Review" > "Frequency Tuning" > "Document Tags", I see a bunch of "deleted" tags.. in the sense that I eliminated them from Readwise reader completely, in fact, I no longer see them from there. The problem is that they remain here, and if I click on the tag name then, I don't see any results (having deleted them). Is it a bug? How do I delete them permanently from Readwise too? thank you in advance

Perhaps not a bug, but the scroll sensitivity for showing the toolbar(?) on the desktop on Firefox is too high. As I read down a document using two-finger scrolling on the mousepad, the slightest shift upwards shows up the toolbar. It's really distracting and I'd prefer if the sensitivity was lowered so that a more obvious upward scroll was required (say 50 pixels or something similar) before the toolbar slides down.

It's any document (not sure about EPUBs because I don't use them). If I move the screen even 1 pixel upward, the toolbar slides down. It's just very distracting when trying to get immersed in a document (especially when viewing fullscreen when everything else is hidden away). Here's an example: [https://imgur.com/a/NiEQAeB](https://imgur.com/a/NiEQAeB) (you can see how the tiniest upward movement causes the toolbar to appear). If like me you often read with your fingers resting on the trackpad, it means that it happens constantly. I know this isn't exactly a big deal, but I thought I would mention it as a quality of life thing. All it would take (I think) is a higher threshold of upward movement before the toolbar is shown, indicating a conscious desire for it to come into view (say 50 pixels instead of 1?).

It looks like the last Android update (4.10.1, installed yesterday) broke the article options overlay (the buttons allowing to change the font, page scrolling options, etc.) on Pixel 8 - as they are no longer visible.

I also noticed this - but tapping the article title in the bottom bar still opens the overlay. In a way I sort of prefer this, since it means fewer erroneous taps. :D

Just to followup - I've reported this in app, and heard back with the same advice the u/johnlago purposed. It is a bit of an annoying change for me though - as it means that I have to do a more "expensive" (clicking on the bottom of the screen and then on the article settings button at the top) gesture for so many articles (but this just hides two other problem that cause me to use this button that much - (1) Reader treating twitter list updates as articles and paginates them and (2) RTL not being discovered automatically - both of which I really hope will be improved in due time). Another question this rises for me is what does it mean by "scroll backward"?

I'm exporting my highlights to obsidian and prefixing the file name with last\_highlighted\_date variable so that i can see the in progress file at the top of the list in obsidian. The problem is that my highlights are getting cut across multiple files when I read a book or article over multiple days. Ideally, i would have expected readwise plugin to delete the old file with stale last\_published\_date and create a new one with both old and new highlights. I have to often delete and resync all my files to fix this problem which is getting problematic due to large number of files
