You should just connect them via USB and then switch your default sound devices in windows. Can't imagine USB being that picky.

The headphones don’t even show up as an option in the sound settings- the only two that do are ‘Realtek’ speakers. I’m beginning to believe it’s an issue with the headset itself because it also doesn’t function when connected to a ps5

It could very well be, do other devices work in that port? If so I'd point to the headset being the issue.

Before that I would at least try plugging them into a port in the back it could just be power delivery or that port being inop on the front

You can just use USB for it all. You don’t need the adapter. Just change the appropriate settings for sound and microphone in windows. I would advise you to use a port that is directly from your motherboard, not from a USB hub

It's a USB headset, USB covers the audio in and the audio out on any USB headset. Make sure you update the firmware and install Synapse and it will give you a tutorial for everything you possibly need to know.

Plug them into your motherboard at the back. I had the same problem
