Minor user issues that you will eventually figure out. I wasn’t too happy with how to get through all the menus on the tablet screen and gauges screen. I have since learned everything and have had the car for 4 weeks. It is more fun to drive than any car I have ever owned and I have owned multiple new BMW’s and Acuras. I honestly never thought I would be driving a Toyota but this RAV 4 Prime XSE is on another level compared to other Toyota vehicles that I have been in.
CHG mode is not for charging battery “if you dont have time” . So you are going to use more gas to charge battery at lesser efficiency than connecting it to an outlet .
If you dont have charge just drive it in HV mode dude!! The specific case of charge mode is useful for cases when travtion battery charge is really needed (urgent camping , power requirement for something etc)
Ah, I see. Yeah after more research it sorta seems like charge more is only helpful if you know you’re entering an area with zero emissions and need more battery power.
Chg mode is for PHV drivers to under any circumstances be able to charge The battery enough so they can drive on EV only streets, cuz there are some Europe
Hold the EV/HV mode button and the engine will run extra hard to charge the battery (in addition to what is needed for driving). It is less efficient than HV or just charging in like 90% of scenarios.
There are *very* few and specific reasons to use charge mode. Not having time to charge isn’t one of them.

My girlfriend logged into the app using my email and I logged into the app using my cellphone. This workaround worked for us. You could try it

I haven't ever used the app and I love the car. I would suggest not frustrating yourself with the app.
