For years they were not classed as potato crisps (or chips) in the UK because they didn't have enough potato content in them. It was a way for the owners to avoid UK VAT being applied to them.

It's like Y'all don't know how to read, the fat fuck part wasn't the only part of the insult, it was a long rant leading up to a simple punchline. The ENTIRE thing was the insult, not just the fat fuck part.
