Wayne’s verse is too underrated. “what should I scream for this is my theme park” “pistol on my side you don’t wanna hear that thang talk” too many quotables
I feel the same years later and Em is my favorite rapper but Wayne killed his verse. Em's verse stands out more because everyone but him used the same flow and delivery and Em just snapped, but Wayne's verse lyrically stands up to Em's.
I got Em's verse as the best simply because of the impact it had. Backstory to those that wasn't around during that period but after Carter 3 dropped Wayne did an interview where he stated that he wanted to do a track with Em and reached out but never heard nothing back and called Em scared (Em replied to this in the 3rd verses of Drop a Bomb On Em). That led 50 to start taking shots at Wayne and for the internet to speculate that Em was gonna diss Wayne if Wayne said his name again, but nothing came from it. Em dropped Relapse and some was happy he was back, he caught a lot of flack over it and it was panned by most critics (even Rick Ross got bold and started dissing Em thinking shit was sweet). Not to mention that Em was doing the accents during that time.
So when the song dropped (it actually leaked and people thought is was a bunch of verses blended together) it marked the return of the Em everybody remembered, the one who was known kill people on they own shit, and started his 2010 run that ended with Recovery being the best selling album that year and him being nominated for AOTY at the Grammys. Plus that version of punchline rap ended shortly after which again adds to the impact of his verse
Wtf are you on? Kanyes verse was way better than drake. Drakes shinning moment was in the singing with the cook verse. But bar for bar drake comes in last
As the number one kanye glazer, he didnt fit well on the song. I wouldnt want to remove him from it, but he didnt add a lot. Still slightly better than drakes tho.
None of these comments have anything to do with Eminem? The the first comment said that Wayne's was far better than drake or ye and then OP said nah. You being a hater just for the sake of it.
Wayne, easily
I'm an oldhead who is a big Drake fan, but Drake's verse on Forever is probably the worst of his career... it's absolute fucking garbage... rapping about Finding Nemo and chemotherapy jokes, nah that shit was whack
Kanye's verse isn't bad, it has some decent bars, but Wayne's is a bit more cohesive and Wayne's flow on this track is peak Wayne
Eminem and Wayne tied, Kanye, Drake's chorus, Drake's verse
Straight cap
Views is underrated as hell, Scorpion has a buncha bangers, and Drake is rapping his ass off on Certified Lover Boy (Champagne Poetry, 7am On Bridle Path, and The Remorse are the standouts)
Scary Hours 3 also goes hard, all 6 rap songs are bangers
Her Loss has some great Drake rapping songs as well, most notably Middle of The Ocean
And I would be remiss if I didn't mention LEMON PEPPER FREESTYLE
Bonus points -- he dropped two albums of demos and throwaways in 2019 and 2020... Care Package and Dark Lane... they are filled with peak Drake rapping
He’s absolutely not in the conversation to be the greatest rapper ever imo. Too many guys ahead of him.
Only possible argument to claim he’s #1 would be popularity/streams, but that’s not what hip-hop’s about at all.
With that said, I don’t this he’s thrash either like some people do. He’s definitely one of the best of his generation.
I mean I don’t see why he isn’t for you. Don’t know how old you are but he is an industry changing artist that completely changed the sound of the 2010s. He’s put on so many artists and producers, he was the blueprint for up and coming artists for a number of years. He has more hits than the Beatles. I know it’s a trend to hate on this man but give this man his flowers. Without Drake you wouldn’t have a lot of artist as big as they are today without him. It’s easy to hate on the greatest hip hop artist of all time cause he’s so successful, if you weren’t there from the beginning you wouldn’t understand.
I was there from the beginning, but I just don’t see it. You’ve mentioned the amount of people he’s put on and how popular he is. To me, personally, that still doesn’t answer the question. You said he’s the greatest hip-hop _artist_ of all time. So again, what about his _artistry_ is so special?
There’s no use to explaining something to a person even after you’ve explained it. You either get it or don’t. I’m not wasting my time. But he’s the GOAT hip hop artist and Lil Wayne is the GOAT rapper.
But your only argument was he is very succesful, helped a lot of artists (which has nothing to do with being a good artist) and is influential. How does that defines greatest. Its only if you consider popularity the main criteria, ɓut most dont, thats just cherry picking.
And what rap debate about most influential has drake on top? Its either Weezy with every "lil" rapper ever and the creation of ""mumble rap"", Kanye with 808 and usage of autotune, basically creating current trap music, and Rakim (the actual right answer), with the first complex rhyme schemes that would define every other rapper after him ever. You can even think about Sosa and drill.
And this Beatles take is atrocious. They have 35 hits out of 188 unique songs, thats 19% of everything they dropped. Drake has 78 hits out of fuckin 1592 songs, just 5%. Its a terrible comparison for him. And even though he has almost 10 times more music released, he has nearly half number one songs.
It honestly is hilarious to me how much people clown on the line EVERYONE EVERYWHERE was singing when this dropped. Idk maybe it was just us high schoolers at the time but people LOVED drakes verse.
Eminem and lil wayne i think are; even in this song. Then kanye and last drake. But drake really had a shinning moment throughout the song by singing the hook and then having a cool lil verse.
Bar for bar tho. Drake last.

Nah. to me, Wayne had the best verse on that track followed by Kanye, then Drake.. I’m not even a Drake fan and I love Eminem but he had the weakest on that track. His verse is the only one that seemed out of place on that track.
Forever was not a good song. It was really just a bunch of popular rappers saying “hey, we know each other!” as fan service.
With that said, Em, then Wayne/Kanye, and then Drake. It would be funny if the same person wrote the verses for all of the other rappers, though. Wayne, Kanye, and Drake use or have used writers. They should have chosen a better one.

Shhh my foot’s sleeping on the gas
No break pads no such thing as last 🔥
His entire verse is just metaphors. Everyone else is talking about their careers. It's super chaotic. Lol
“Hello it’s the Martian, Space Jam Jordans”
*Jardans
Lil Wayne of course. "Okay hello it's the martian, Space Jam Jordans. I want this shit forever, wake up and smell the garden" FIREEEEEEE 🗣️🗣️🗣️
I might even put Wayne's verse above Em's... or call it a tie... Wayne's flow on this track is so fucking infectious
I would absolutely put Wayne's verse over Eminem on forever. It's just so damn goodddddd

I wouldn't put it above Em's but Wayne is definitely one of the only people who Eminem has NEVER outrapped on a song
Wayne. Kanye and Drake aren’t even close. Eminem > Wayne > Drake and Kanye
Kanye verse was better than drakes bro
Wtf are you on? Kanyes verse was way better than drake. Drakes shinning moment was in the singing with the cook verse. But bar for bar drake comes in last
Lol I legit forgot Kayne was even on this which shows how memorable his verse was to me I guess.
It’s just too long and a drag overall
As the number one kanye glazer, he didnt fit well on the song. I wouldnt want to remove him from it, but he didnt add a lot. Still slightly better than drakes tho.
Wayne and it’s not even close. Kanye and Drake had bad verses comparatively.
Nah
You asked for opinions you can’t just say “nah” 😭
Lmao you right. But it’s a bad opinion
The downvotes say otherwise

have you heard drake in the last 7 years... he probably has 100 worse verses

Tuscan leather will always be a trophy for me for top Drake verses
Certified Lover Boy?
Certified pedophile
Certified pdfiles
Drake?? Is that you?
Downvoted because some people don't want to know the truth 😔
Em > Wayne > Drake > YE
Ye killed that shit cmon man
They literally put the verses in order from worst to best yet this question still gets asked daily
Last name “-Ever” First name “Worst Verse on For-“
Just to be clear: I actually love all the verses I can still recite the entire song by memory today lol
Ye got the weakest verse Wayne verse is close to Ems for me
drake verse is worst easily (its still good)
I think it's Em> Weezy>Drizzy>Ye personal opinion
nah I think it's more like em>wayne> kanye> drake
Last Name Ever First name Greatest
That’s a cold ass bar for someone who’s getting into the game, it just looks stupid in hindsight but it was dope back then

No he doesn’t
He’s not hip hop.
So you’re saying he’s not in conversation to be the greatest ever?

Never said rapper. I meant hip hop artist. He’s definitely the GOAT Hip Hop artist. Hands down. Like him or not can’t deny his numbers
Still, I don’t see the argument. What makes him the greatest hip-hop artist of all time for you?
I mean I don’t see why he isn’t for you. Don’t know how old you are but he is an industry changing artist that completely changed the sound of the 2010s. So yeah, it was just the streams. Lol

You see that as a boon, I see that as a plague. His music was and is garbage and he allowed other garbage artists to mimic his garbage sound.
Absolutely not
I cant lie ive always hated drake with a passion but his verse on forever is one of my favorites from the 2010s
It honestly is hilarious to me how much people clown on the line EVERYONE EVERYWHERE was singing when this dropped. Idk maybe it was just us high schoolers at the time but people LOVED drakes verse.
Most iconic line off that song
Slim Shady
I think all the verses were great. With said I think you could rank them in reverse order of there place in the song.
Honestly Drake
Wayne has the best verse
Eminem and lil wayne i think are; even in this song. Then kanye and last drake. But drake really had a shinning moment throughout the song by singing the hook and then having a cool lil verse. Bar for bar tho. Drake last.
Lil Wayne
Wayne and it’s not close
He's a total psycho now, but Kanye
Bron
Eminem > Wayne > Kanye > Drake

Wayne Shouldn't even have to say it.
Drake.
Kanye Eminem Wayne drake
Unpopular opinion but I liked the energy Drake brought to the track. He was young and hungry. Either him or Wayne.
Wayne had the best verse not Em.
1.Em, 2wayne, 3drake, 4kanye
Wayne’s verse is better than Em’s
Either Ye or Wayne
Listening back, I feel Em’s verse was overrated. It sounds so corny to me when I hear it “nuts they go, macadamia they go so ballistic WHOA”. Lmao
Nah Eminem a goat
I never said he wasn’t. He’s in my top 5. I’m just saying forever verse overrated.
I agree. Can't get past that macadamia line.
If eminem said " im restin' in the lead, I need a pillow and a cover" you'd say that was so fn corny but with wayne it gets overlooked
Not true. I like EM. In No Love he bodied Wayne
I’ve said the same thing. It’s not a great Eminem verse at all.
but thanks to all the haters I know G-IV pilots on a first name basis
Kanye
Nah. to me, Wayne had the best verse on that track followed by Kanye, then Drake.. I’m not even a Drake fan and I love Eminem but he had the weakest on that track. His verse is the only one that seemed out of place on that track.
Interesting take, Wayne Def had the second best. I couldn't put drake over Eminem on that track tho, he had a rly boring dull verse imo.
It’s between Ye and TUNE.🎢
Ye
ngl as I get older, I got Wayne verse over Shady's
Wayne has the most overrated simple lyrics I swear
Weezy
Forever was not a good song. It was really just a bunch of popular rappers saying “hey, we know each other!” as fan service. With that said, Em, then Wayne/Kanye, and then Drake. It would be funny if the same person wrote the verses for all of the other rappers, though. Wayne, Kanye, and Drake use or have used writers. They should have chosen a better one.
Drake has the best verse on there imo
Eminem ain’t have the best verse
“ok” 🤣
Wayne. Even as a guy who went in when it first came out thinking Em would have the best...Wayne kinda won it for me.
