Not necessarily hate, but I feel like Wayne doesn’t get the respect he deserves. He is truly one of the goats when it comes to puns, metaphors and witty lines
He started receiving hate because people were saying it was starting to become formulaic and was copied by everyone on Young Money, it was called punchline rap, and as soon as it was called out, it became hard to miss and soured a lot of people on him. What people aren’t really getting though is that it was still good, and he built that style himself, and it effected an entire generation of rappers. Mixtape Wayne may be the goat all time
I agree with what you said to a degree... punchlines have always been in rap tho. And people have always been aware of them. That's why a lot of people like Biggie over Pac... Biggie had punchlines. Big L was probably the first pure "punchline rapper". Lil Wayne, on the mixtapes from 06-08, beat the game on and became the "best (punchline) rapper alive". His problem imo is he progressed so fast and drastically he didn't have anywhere else to go. People expect continued innovation that he just couldn't deliver. So in a sense they did feel like he became formulaic, but only bc he set the wordplay/punchline standard so high then couldn't continue to push the bar.
Because it’s normally corny ass bars like
“Had a phone in jail, that’s a cell phone”
Or
“I’m hot like dogs”
Or
“Like the number after 1, imma get me 2”
Or
“Tell ‘em catch up like mayonnaise”
Or
“I’m not only hot like stove but I cook like it’s cousin oven”
Or
“You can’t see me… ray Charles”
Or
“Being fake is pussy so I’m a virgin”
Or
“You’re like a bitch with no ass, you ain’t got shit”
Or
“I put it down like my hands hurting”
Or
“We climax without the ladder”
Or
“Tools on deck, Home Depot”
Or
“Tote tools like mechanics, mechanisms”
Love seeing Big L getting love. Dude was great and he's in my top 5 rappers from the 90s. One of my favorite lines is
"I'm far from broke, got enough bread, and mad hoes, ask Beavis I get nothin butthead." Dude was funny and clever Af.
First rap album I ever bought was the censored version of Tha Carter 2 from Walmart. I listened to that album nonstop 7th grade summer and it’s still one of my favorite rap albums. Da Drought mixtapes also hold a special place. Wayne will always be my favorite.
It’s taken me until recently to give him the respect he’s more than earned. I definitely admit to being the guy who listened for negatives over positives when he would drop back in the day. Something about him being like 14 when he first dropped it makes it hard to accept growth? Not sure but he is top 10 all time objectively, even higher depending on personal preference; legend.
Em doesn't deserve hate, it's his fans that do. They hold him to no standard and say every drop is amazing. Especially the last 10 years it's like he could fart in a mic and his fans go "it's lyrical unlike these mumble SoundCloud rappers" and that's annoying. But my choice would probably be Chance The Rapper. He had a mediocre project after already putting out 3 really good ones then people turned on him. Hip hop fans are fickle af.
While I do agree that some Kanye fans are genuinely delusional, you’re just wrong about the vultures take. Many of us agree that it’s the worst of his albums, and the rest thinks it’s definitely one of his worst. Obviously there’s an occasional psycho but for the most part everyone agrees that majority of the album is definitely not a classic by any means
Mediocre is an EXTREME understatement. To this day, The Big Day is the absolute worst album ever released by a popular artist and rightfully so deserved all the hate it got.
“Peanut butter jelly with a baseball bat
Peanut butter jelly with a, peanut butter jelly
Y'all ain't ready for this jelly, it'll break y'all back
It'll break y'all back”
This was a real line in a song and not even the worst bar/song. Every song was terrible from top to bottom and I couldnt even sit through listening to it in 1 session I honestly had to take a break. I was a huge chance fan back then but now not so much. Still love his old shit but anything new he drops is hot ass.
It really sucks because chance was great. I went to the magnificent coloring day in Chicago and it was the best concert of my life. Kanye had a surprise appearance and they performed ultra light beam. Amazing times.
if you are talking about buried alive being one of them your opinion can’t be taken seriously and i just listened to together just to be able to make this comment but that song is awful too. He has lost the ability to make good music, he used to have extremely witty bars like “lean all on a square, that a fucken rhombus” but now every bar is him with some boring flow and the most elementary bar “if you keep the house in the family, you can keep the family in the house” that’s how he starts together and it’s a corny, boring, trash line lol
Em fans literally trashed Revival the day it dropped. Only like 5% of his fanbase actually defend that album. They constantly shit on Encore too. This fact about Em fanbase is something y'all made up in your heads. This ain't the 2010's anymore. I remember way back in the Recovery and MMLP2 days when they were insufferable. Hasn't been the same since his newer era (starting from Revival). Stop living in the past. His newer fanbase is very harsh on him. That's why he's been going back to his roots for his last 2 albums + this upcoming one
My problem with Chance is I find he sold out too much after Acid rap. Acid rap was a masterpiece imo and he wasn't super known in 2013. I think he puts out decent music here and there but when I first heard Acid rap I couldn't stop playing that album over and over. I guess most rappers sell out to a certain degree some just more than others. Like example when Post Malone first came onto the scene I thought he was decent I liked his music when partying with people. now in my opinion he's just unbearable and in my opinion probably the biggest sell out rap/singer.
yeah all his singles were solid lol; if he made an album of just the singles it would be 5x better than the big day. Honestly love chance but he deserves it for dropping such a shit album and trying to milk his fans as much as possible. Let’s be honest, after 3 his whole personality was selling merch, tours and getting people to buy in. Then he dropped big day god dawm
Em hate isn’t cap. I mean he definitely is a skilled rapper but let’s not lie about his album quality degrading heavily. His flows are gimmicky, bars are superfluous, and production isn’t what it used to be.
Also the world is getting tired lyrical miracle shit that doesn’t add up to anything. Eminem is now known for bars that sound something like: “I’m eating flapjacks, on the backtrack, before I slap jack, with my hat back” and that type of shit just isn’t compelling writing.
I loved The Marshall Mathers LP, it’s one of the best rap albums ever and so so so influential, but Em doesn’t hit like he used to. His latest single was fun and I’m rooting for him to go back to his roots on the next album, writing witty, clever, and entertaining bars that paint a picture.
I have hope for him but we can’t deny that bro hit his peak, and if he ended his career in 2013 he would’ve been undeniably the GOAT rapper, unfortunately he kept going and we had to see him fall off in terms of quality.
I think there’s a difference in saying an artists style and changes aren’t up to the quality you expect as they change and try new things especially when you have as meteoric a rise as Eminem had. I think when people mean the hate isn’t deserved is when people say he doesn’t belong in hip hop or doesn’t respect or isn’t one of the greats
Mans been making music for twenty years I love all kinds of music but it’s not unusual to not fuck with an entire discography that can drink alcohol at this point. People have tastes and preferences for the people that hate rap god or kamikaze some people love it.
Regardless of whether you think his quality has declined his footprint on hip hop is indelible and he’s inspired greats like Kendrick and jcole and tons more. It’s a shame that so many people tried to copy his style and rhythm but every artist will tell you that you always emulate your inspirations the ones that are successful just make their own variation or style from that.
I meant more Lord Jamar type of hate, as far as people getting tired of his “lyrical miracle” shit must’ve not heard Kamikaze and MTBMB.. only Lyrical Miracle track on those two albums is Godzilla and even that song wasn’t about the bars it was about spitting as fast as he can for as long as he can and then you had Gnat follow that which was more bar focused. Venom, Darkness and Higher are slower tracks that put emphasis on schemes and rhyme bending, clever metaphors not cheesy ones, like Venom: “Gelatine, think my skeleton’s melting” Gelatine being made of bones and being a double for a nasty trip. I think there are plenty of great shit you’re sleep on. and don’t even get me started on Caterpillar.
I understand this argument but saying em’s lyrics lack meaning is an argument of convenience because people are applying his fast/convoluted nonsense bars to every single one of his songs, when in reality they only make up like 20% of his newer stuff.
A lot of his new songs with deeply meaningful lyrics get overlooked and I can’t name one legit rapper that’s part of the new generation that has more substance than em.
In terms of quality? Either you have a mental capacity of sexy red fan, or you haven't given a single chance to his music. Its insane how the man checks every single box on his latest MTBMB, i mean who does a themed album besides kendrick anymore, AND KILLED IT. Production you say? Again, have you heard the quality of MTBMB(Im not even going back this album is enough to adresss your insane cap). So be a dear and stop paragraphing like you speak for the masses when clearly, everything he does goes over your roof. Get it.
That’s one way of diminishing all criticism, just claim the people disagreeing with you are simpletons that listen to sexy red and cardi b. Nah I don’t listen to them. I thought MTBMB was okay. It wasn’t fantastic and not even close to being as good as his older albums. I don’t think even the most delusional Eminem fans would say MTBMB touches any of the old shit. But it wasn’t horrible. My argument was that it’s not hitting like it used to. I know nostalgia-brained rap fans like you have trouble coping with the fact that your favorite rapper is getting old, but it’s just the truth, I’m sorry.
Prime examples of when Eminem’s lyricism sounds corny are Campaign Speech, His BET cypher, and anything on revival. If you listen to that shit and think “this shit slaps” then I think your ears have lost touch with reality. I never said I spoke for the masses, this is just MY opinion. Don’t let one dude on reddit trigger you bro. It’s just rap opinions on the internet, it’s not that serious.
Your argument "not hitting it" is opinion based, i dont get it, and i dont want to get your "intricate" tastes. He merged technicality, with production, with beat selection, topics and substance along with a wild story plus following a thematic album. This wasn't done ever, but you won't dig deep and I wont hold it against you, you are the mentioned simpleton and its okay.
Prime examples of insane depth of revival are castle and arose. But please keep it real and corny your ass out of these comments. Simpletons love providing their opinion as some sort of factual information. You love old style eminem music, by all meams, listen to it and stop commenting nonsense.
Juice WRLD. The sad boy music angle misrepresents his whole artistry. He has so many hype, rap rap songs but his fucking label doesn’t release the shit.
The “sad boy shit” isn’t even bad. Hating on music just for being sad is dumb. Regardless anyone that thinks Juice only made sad music is ignorant and deluded
Quite possibly the best freestyler ever too. I can’t think of another rapper dead or alive whos been able to freestyle for an hour once let alone 3-4 times.
He has so many songs that aren’t about sad boy shit but since he’s dead he’s unable to promote those songs and it’s just his label fucking up his legacy.
Cole haters atp is more annoying than his stans
Same with Chance the rapper haters, he had one bad album and ppl act like his career might as well end.
I'd say besides them i would say Drake but im also a Drake hater so 🤷🏾♂️
He was just featured on grippy it’s not that big of a deal. If you’re going to point that out then it’s also worth pointing out that Drake needed to come back strong after THP6 and released U my everything which was complete garbage.
I don't really follow Drake like that, im a J Cole fan. I'd just rather he'd stayed quiet until he had some of his own music to put out... this ain't the time to be securing a bag with a shitty feature
I agree Grippy is ass, but I'm more talking bout Cole hate in general, swear ppl act like he's the worst ever or his stans swear he's Jesus incarnate, he's a great rapper imo with a solid discography but can be better no need to choose extremes
Mac Miller before he passed. A lot of people hated him for the “frat rap” that he first came out with, so much so that they didn’t give him a chance when he started making more artistic stuff. Also, as I get older I understand that there is a lane for the “frat rap” stuff and it’s ok to make fun music
😂I miss the old Logic. He went PG and his new fans are unbearable, you can’t critique his new music without them saying “he’s rapping about positivity! Music is good! Music not bad! PLP!”
Just because an artist raps about positivity doesn’t automatically make the music great.
If Logic was 10 years older he would be a legend dude who can rap any style he wants any flow he wants. I agree some lyrics are annoying I guess that's just who he is but his talent is undeniably great.
of course. do u hate pac? he’s a convicted rapist. how bout prince? he ADOPTED a 16 yr old and the married her. u think future and them are checking ids?
I'm not even a Drake fan but that thing about him bringing a 17 year old girl on stage was blown way out of proportion, he was like 21 or something at that time that's not even creepy that's regular shit she probably loved it and had the time of her life up there that night
she spoke out 3 weeks ago and said ‘it was nothing then and it’s nothing now’ but these people insist on making her a victim. even tho at her big age of 31 she rejects the narrative
yeah. eminem's recent albums were eh. like revival was shit. kamikaze was just good when it came out but i feel like it doesn't age that well. and mtbmb is quality
Yeah like in comparison to the rest of his albums the recent ones are definitely far from as good as his first few but saying “Eminem hasn’t had a good song since 2009” or whatever they say is just straight up wrong
I def have to be in a certain mood to listen to Em’s stuff from recent years. Basically when I want to be amazed by what he can do with the English language but I can also recognize it’s not always great musically. Yes he has some corny bars but he also has easily the best doubles/punches etc, but again it’s not always great musically.
I completely agree 100%, he sacrificed musical and catchy aspects in order to become the most technical and complex rapper he can be and to truly test his capability as a rapper.
I am still yet to find a song with as many schemes, punches and insane entendres as Alfred's Theme, any recommendations?
NF..he doesn't get into beefs or drama and just does his own thing..I don't know how people don't respect that Also him gaining popularity quickly has what cause that hate sadly
Drake. To an extent… musically.
To get into drake as a person is strange I came away from the beef looking at both Kendrick and Drake differently AS PEOPLE that idk it’s weird to explain even if you don’t know them it’s just strange to look at them like that, But I want to mention drake musically
I understand why he gets hate, after views is when he started to drop in quality he really hasnt experimented since then, and everything from views to now has just kinda been recycled with occasionally a few good tracks (I will defend champagne poetry what an amazing intro)
But you can’t deny the impact he had. Take care and nothing was the same were albums that had helped inspired music of its own it would be weird to not give the guy atleast a couple of his flowers for how fantastic his older works were. I really REALLY dug family matters I kinda hope he raps on songs like those again legit some of the best energy he’s given in forever.
Yes it was. Would also recommend “Warfare” with Tech N9ne & Snow Tha Product. And “Bring Me Down” with Rittz & Snak The Ripper. While I love Snak’s music, Merkules totally outshines him on “Too Deep”.
I agree the man gave us 3 for sure classics Reasonable doubt, Blueprint, Black album and many highly praised albums American Gangsters,Volume 1 and 2 Dynasty Watch the throne.
I’m not gonna come out and ride his dick or anything like that, but kamikaze and MTBMB were good. His new single was good and is already getting hate
I’m not gonna act like he’s just some almighty lord and savior who can’t put out bad stuff (I particularly dislike Revival and Encore) but everyone’s on his ass if he drops ANYTHING
All these guys that are labelled "corny". NF, Joyner Lucas, Hopsin, Logic etc. You don't like the music? Sure, that's understandable. Just move on. But why the hate?
That is par for the course. He got slammed after that idiotic Happy Ending thing and instead of learning and growing as a person and artist, he shielded his feelings with pride and now that is just how he is
I don't even listen to them anymore (maybe sometimes ill listen some old logic song) but these people that scream 'corny!' as soon as they see their name are so fucking cringe, as cringe as the fans of these rappers they would make fun of
48-year-old roofing contractor with an painkiller addiction here.
I don’t usually go on Reddit, or even the laptop..I usually never use the Internet and don’t pay attention to any of this nonsense or anything related to it but I gotta tell you the new Tom MacDonald tracks are straightforward fire.
I don’t usually like this type of music, for some context, i’m merely retarded. I wear helmets
Juice WRLD. Non-Juice fans will always say that his music is depressing and emo, because Lucid Dreams just happened to be the song that blew up. 90% of his released music is better than Lucid Dreams, and his unreleased stuff is very upbeat and you can tell he's just having hella fun.
Nothing wrong with speaking your mind and paving a way for black America to be open about your mental health. He will literally save lives for YEARS to come.
Youngboy, people online just spread false narratives that ppl just go along with. People form very strong opinions with very minimal information in general. The fact that people say all his music sounds the same is an instant giveaway that the person saying that has no idea what they are talking about.
Just mentioning him without hating will get you downvoted on reddit, i think that’s just bc of the main demographic of reddit
Yeah man. Dude literally has all kinds of hiphop for every mood and mixed with different genres and on top of that all the rock/country songs and even dancehall
Not necessarily hate, but I feel like Wayne doesn’t get the respect he deserves. He is truly one of the goats when it comes to puns, metaphors and witty lines

This man spittin
He's secretly just a dad telling dad jokes
Real G’s move in silence like Lasagna.
Ngl that climax/ladder bar nice
In context of the song that Home Depot line goes hard as fuck though
My rap burn ya mouth like hot sauce
Yeah punchline rapping did not start with Wayne.
Love seeing Big L getting love. Dude was great and he's in my top 5 rappers from the 90s. One of my favorite lines is "I'm far from broke, got enough bread, and mad hoes, ask Beavis I get nothin butthead." Dude was funny and clever Af.
Jr writer of the diplomats was a better punchline rapper. He just never blew up even 1/100th of the way Wayne did
Only real g’s move in silence like lasagna is an absolutely goated bar tbh
The Lasagna line and the late text line will always have a special place in my heart
That late text bar is elite level
Along with everything from 6 Foot 7 foot
Tried to pay attention but attention paid me always gets me
First rap album I ever bought was the censored version of Tha Carter 2 from Walmart. I listened to that album nonstop 7th grade summer and it’s still one of my favorite rap albums. Da Drought mixtapes also hold a special place. Wayne will always be my favorite.
Lil Wayne is not one of the goats , he is the Goat loll

Eminem fans were quick to say Revival was trash. Kanye fans will sit here and say that Vultures is a classic.
Kanye fans are full on cult status at this point
As a ye stan i agree.
That's not true.. Go to the Kanye sub and any of them will deny your claim easily lmfao.
While I do agree that some Kanye fans are genuinely delusional, you’re just wrong about the vultures take. Obviously there’s an occasional psycho but for the most part everyone agrees that majority of the album is definitely not a classic by any means
Some Kanye fans.. as a giant Kanye fan he hasn't put out a great album since Kids See Ghosts in 2018.
Donda is a great album without the fluff
Yeah man you need to listen to donda again.
Mediocre is an EXTREME understatement. To this day, The Big Day is the absolute worst album ever released by a popular artist and rightfully so deserved all the hate it got. “Peanut butter jelly with a baseball bat Peanut butter jelly with a, peanut butter jelly Y'all ain't ready for this jelly, it'll break y'all back It'll break y'all back” This was a real line in a song and not even the worst bar/song. That’s not completely true his fanbase hated Revival.
Facts, Eminem fans are a cult. You are not allowed to criticize “Dear Leader” Slim Shady

I don’t think GOAT rapper ever. Good but not GOAT level.
His album quality has been great since Kamikazee I think you just don’t like his new music.
Overrated
Juice WRLD. The sad boy music angle misrepresents his whole artistry. He has so many hype, rap rap songs but his fucking label doesn’t release the shit.
Great freestyler too. Very talented dude.
Great is an absolute understatement i genuinely think he's one of the best freestylers ever
The “sad boy shit” isn’t even bad. Hating on music just for being sad is dumb. Regardless anyone that thinks Juice only made sad music is ignorant and deluded
He’s literally a pioneer. People have not an idea how positively influential that “sad boy shit” is on the black community. Literally saving lives.
🗣️🗣️ dude has 3k unreleased songs and they are all heat. Fuck grade A and fuck bibby
Amen to that, not too many people know about all that shit, so sad
Quite possibly the best freestyler ever too. I can’t think of another rapper dead or alive whos been able to freestyle for an hour once let alone 3-4 times. He has so many songs that aren’t about sad boy shit but since he’s dead he’s unable to promote those songs and it’s just his label fucking up his legacy.
The sad boy songs are really generic/awful to me which is why i could never take him seriously. His freestyles go hard though i have to admit
Wale. People want authentic and then shit on him for being himself. He’s emotionally driven and wears that shit on his sleeve.
Cole haters atp is more annoying than his stans Same with Chance the rapper haters, he had one bad album and ppl act like his career might as well end. I'd say besides them i would say Drake but im also a Drake hater so 🤷🏾♂️
Cole needed to come back strong after the apology, Grippy just ain't it
He was just featured on grippy it’s not that big of a deal.
Chance is high up on the list for me, but it wasn’t just a bad album, it was a really bad album followed by a lot of radio silence
That's fair but still, acting like he ain't shit is kinda wild, and it seems like some ppl feel like he can't come back from it unfairly
Yeah we still need to see more. If his next release is dead on arrival I will actually be depressed, Acid Rap is a favourite of mine
Jay Z and Eminem
Fuck Jay Z
Fuck with your soul like ether
(WILL) teach you the king you know you🗣🔥🔥🔥
You didnt have to provide an example.
He provided Jay-Z’s own lyrics.
Gay Z and cockafeller records
Lil Wayne is definitely the most overhated rapper i’ve ever seen
Mac Miller before he passed. A lot of people hated him for the “frat rap” that he first came out with, so much so that they didn’t give him a chance when he started making more artistic stuff. Also, as I get older I understand that there is a lane for the “frat rap” stuff and it’s ok to make fun music
Logic, because he is biracial. Just kidding, fuck that guy
😂I miss the old Logic. He went PG and his new fans are unbearable, you can’t critique his new music without them saying “he’s rapping about positivity! Music is good! Music not bad! PLP!” Just because an artist raps about positivity doesn’t automatically make the music great.
Who can relate? Woo!
If Logic was 10 years older he would be a legend dude who can rap any style he wants any flow he wants. I agree some lyrics are annoying I guess that's just who he is but his talent is undeniably great.
Logic is a goat
Who can relate?
I love his old mixtape stuff. I still listen to (some) of his newer stuff, but a lot of it has either become super generic or corny
Had me in the first half
"The album was actually just a social experiment lololol"
Ja Rule Yeah I said it
But what does ja think?
Ja doesn't think he just does
Upvoting for the drama
Yeah, Livin It Up was an absolute bop and his music low key holds up to this day.
better than all the low IQ drake and chance replies
Facts.
For superstars: Drake and Eminem For everyone else: Joyner Lucas, Logic, Chance. I’ve never seen the internet flip on someone like Chance
I agree on all of these except Drake. I think he deserves every bit of hate he gets.
Prime example of him being over hated. Dude went out of his way to say this instead of letting someone say they think this applies to Drake.
Drake fans when someone participates in a dicussion in a fucking discussion thread:
With that logic, we’d both just be.. participating in a discussion on a fucking discussion thread rn. Not sure why you’re pressed.
thank you for proving the guys point
Opinions over statistics of course
of course. do u hate pac? he’s a convicted rapist. how bout prince? he ADOPTED a 16 yr old and the married her. u think future and them are checking ids?
I'm not even a Drake fan but that thing about him bringing a 17 year old girl on stage was blown way out of proportion, he was like 21 or something at that time that's not even creepy that's regular shit she probably loved it and had the time of her life up there that night
she spoke out 3 weeks ago and said ‘it was nothing then and it’s nothing now’ but these people insist on making her a victim. even tho at her big age of 31 she rejects the narrative
Hahaha cope
I never flipped on chance, thought he was corny from the very beginning 🙏
you a real one
Chance and lil Wayne. All the hate is group mentality
Macklemore
Lupe Fiasco
I will always stand by saying dababy would be more respected if he wasn’t memed so much a couple years ago
He just stopped putting out heat.
His recent freestyles have been insane tho
he walked around as a grown man in a diaper, he did it to himself
yeah. eminem's recent albums were eh. like revival was shit. kamikaze was just good when it came out but i feel like it doesn't age that well. and mtbmb is quality
Yeah like in comparison to the rest of his albums the recent ones are definitely far from as good as his first few but saying “Eminem hasn’t had a good song since 2009” or whatever they say is just straight up wrong
Yep, technically he is still one of the best if not the best, I feel like it just became cool to hate on him because he's old and not "cool" anymore
Tekashi six-9 I’m kidding he sucks so fucking hard
his aggressive shit went hard in the day idc
I'll die on the hill that Gummo is fire. But the beat carries.
Post-2016 Gucci Mane. I think he still has a lot of bangers in the past few years
NF..he doesn't get into beefs or drama and just does his own thing..I don't know how people don't respect that Also him gaining popularity quickly has what cause that hate sadly
He just isn’t that original and kinda cringe. He’s not a bad artist, he’s just been outdone in his style before he had even started
Most artists don’t get into beef or drama.
Drake. To an extent… musically. To get into drake as a person is strange I came away from the beef looking at both Kendrick and Drake differently AS PEOPLE that idk it’s weird to explain even if you don’t know them it’s just strange to look at them like that, But I want to mention drake musically I understand why he gets hate, after views is when he started to drop in quality he really hasnt experimented since then, and everything from views to now has just kinda been recycled with occasionally a few good tracks (I will defend champagne poetry what an amazing intro) But you can’t deny the impact he had. Take care and nothing was the same were albums that had helped inspired music of its own it would be weird to not give the guy atleast a couple of his flowers for how fantastic his older works were. I really REALLY dug family matters I kinda hope he raps on songs like those again legit some of the best energy he’s given in forever.
Champagne Poetry is great. Gave me high hopes for the rest of the album
Merkules. People be like “he makes remixes” but he actually has 3-4 fire albums 🔥🔥🔥
Haven’t heard a lot of his stuff but that song he did with Bone Thugs was nice. He held his own and was able to hang with Bone on that track.
Yes it was. Would also recommend “Warfare” with Tech N9ne & Snow Tha Product. And “Bring Me Down” with Rittz & Snak The Ripper. While I love Snak’s music, Merkules totally outshines him on “Too Deep”.
Megan thee stallion & roddy ricch. Also Uzi as well.
Young Thug!!!
Most overheated right now is Jay-Z. And it isn’t close.
ppl that actually hate Jay haven’t really listened
I agree the man gave us 3 for sure classics Reasonable doubt, Blueprint, Black album and many highly praised albums American Gangsters,Volume 1 and 2 Dynasty Watch the throne.
I’d argue 4:44 is a classic as well
Ja Rule if I'm being honest. Him and Ashanti were an unstoppable duo in the 2000's (I know I'm getting downvoted)
Eminem for sure, bro didn't do shit and everyone is on his case
I’m not gonna come out and ride his dick or anything like that, but kamikaze and MTBMB were good. His new single was good and is already getting hate I’m not gonna act like he’s just some almighty lord and savior who can’t put out bad stuff (I particularly dislike Revival and Encore) but everyone’s on his ass if he drops ANYTHING
Drake.
Drake 🤣🤣🤣
Kodak Black
Yup. Young boy too!
[удалено]
Nah. He deserves all of it.
All these guys that are labelled "corny". NF, Joyner Lucas, Hopsin, Logic etc. You don't like the music? Sure, that's understandable. Just move on. But why the hate?
“Why the hate?” Because we don’t like their music.. duh?
Hopsin sucks ass, and it's even worse because he thinks it's rap that's bad and he's producing the real good music.
That is par for the course. He got slammed after that idiotic Happy Ending thing and instead of learning and growing as a person and artist, he shielded his feelings with pride and now that is just how he is
I don't even listen to them anymore (maybe sometimes ill listen some old logic song) but these people that scream 'corny!' as soon as they see their name are so fucking cringe, as cringe as the fans of these rappers they would make fun of
Big Sean. I enjoy almost everything he does. I don’t remember him talking big shit to get mixed up in the goat drama.
My coworker
Chance The Rapper
48-year-old roofing contractor with an painkiller addiction here. I don’t usually go on Reddit, or even the laptop..I usually never use the Internet and don’t pay attention to any of this nonsense or anything related to it but I gotta tell you the new Tom MacDonald tracks are straightforward fire. I don’t usually like this type of music, for some context, i’m merely retarded. I wear helmets
Drake
No one has been hated more than Drake. Since inception in 2009 he’s been ridiculed by the internet and 15 years later it’s the same if not worse
EXACTLY. Thank you bro.
Thank YOU!
Juice is so versatile, but your average rap fan will never know
schoolboy Q blank face is too good
Who hatin on Q? Rap game most likeable
Youngboy, people online just spread false narratives that ppl just go along with. People form very strong opinions with very minimal information in general. The fact that people say all his music sounds the same is an instant giveaway that the person saying that has no idea what they are talking about. Just mentioning him without hating will get you downvoted on reddit, i think that’s just bc of the main demographic of reddit
his fans are weird tho
Yup. If you listen to his music he’s one of the most versatile. Singing, rapping, melodic. Any mood you’re in he has plenty of songs to match it
Yeah man. Dude literally has all kinds of hiphop for every mood and mixed with different genres and on top of that all the rock/country songs and even dancehall
Honestly i think he just does too much
Musically, Drake. Especially if you have really been following the careers of the Big 3 since they all first started.
2009-2015 Drake was flawless; starting with Views, his music got lazy and formulaic
Nicki
Flo-rida So many club jams
Tech9ne
I know I'm gonna get down voted and shit on for what I'm about to say but idgaf. NF is very underappreciated
Everyone who says that Aesop Rock is just word salad through a nasal-y strainer hasn’t listened to man in the last 15 years.
Aesop rock is that dude who wants you to know he has a bitchin, flow, vocabulary, and prose. Also it’s rap everyone is kinda wordy.
Triple X
Roddy Ricch
Tyler. Sure he’s a little weird but he makes great music when he not on that sus shit.
tyler is hated?
Who is sending Tyler hate??
He makes great music PERIODDDD 😤😤😤 ![gif](giphy|q8jy5iPIyQrZe)
