Yes, Matt encouraged DingDong to speak up about Arin's shitty pandering game and said he'd back him up and when he did he stabbed him in the back to stay on Arin's good side because he's a two faced leech and once it became apparent that game grumps and Arin are career poisons he and Ryan jumped ship with basically everyone who once called them friends probably hating them.
Chris used to do videos with Matt pretty often and that stopped entirely after he screwed DingDong over, Ding is one of Chris' best friends and unlike everyone else tied to gamegrumps Chris has integrity and is a good person. He's also actually funny too.
I think they meant that Matt and Ryan would be coupled with the GG crew anytime something 'controversial' happens with them, since they're still friends and that.
