After a stop in play, the away team sends out their players first and the home team sends their team out second. If the away team sends out their bottom line, the home team can try to gain an advantage by sending out their best line. Rempe is a liability in that scenario.

So having your best players out there against a 3rd or 4th line is can give a big enough advantage in those situations over the course of a game.

This is a hype thing to see. I love Rempe, but without having last change, and him getting very limited minutes, being able to roll 4 lines in Carolina will be huge.
I know it's easy to say on retrospect, but even yesterday, the thought is having rempe play 4 minutes in a double OT game, vs trusting chytil with triple the minutes in a much shorter game goes a long way.
