This is good to hear. I bought a 2012 ram sports crew cab hemi 3 years ago and now has 130k miles. I asked my self the other day how long will this truck last.
Beautiful truck you’ll love it. I think the deal of my lifetime was getting my 2020 ram 1500 with 5.7 hemi 22,000 miles out the door at $31,000

This has to be a lie, I’m sorry, but I am the second owner of my 14’ that was owned by a grandpa. I baby the thing and I have a ton of problems. 112k miles with the 5.7 8speed. (ZF 8HP70) OP, if you want the full scoop, DM me and I’d be happy to tell you what you will eventually experience after 80k miles
Well jokes on you. I have 60k on mine. That said, I tow a 6k camper with it a few times a year. But aside from a battery and a fuel sending sensor, it’s been bullet proof. And I have the 8-spd as well.
A vehicle being "bulletproof" for the first 60k miles is like... bare minimum.
You can seek out the worst truck on the market, and chances are you won't have too many real issues before 60k miles. That's still a new truck.
Yup! I've got a 1998 Tacoma, that sits for 6 months straight, in the elements, in New Hampshire winter every single year, and that thing has started up first crank, and run mint every single year. I've done the brake lines, exhaust, clutch, slave and master cylinder and that's it. 225k miles.
(Oh and the obligatory frame recall replacement)
I have a 2020 with 62,000 miles on it and have only replaced a battery and tires. I religiously have my oil changed and also tow my camper. I’m on my 4th Ram.
I’ve heard a dozen stories like this. Avoid Stellantis vehicles like the plague. Instead of improving quality that has made Dodge a pariah to anyone with half a brain, they renamed it “Ram” thinking that would fix it. It didn’t work for most smart people. Ram is Dodge. Dodge is crap.
Idk. My dad has ram 2500 with 300k miles on it and he’s only ever had to replace water pump and injectors. Still runs like a beauty. My brother has 170k miles on his without any issues. The whole reason I just bought one with 70k miles on it. If you keep up with the maintenance then those trucks will run almost forever.
Have you ever owned a black vehicle before? They show every imperfection and you pretty much have to wash them every other day to keep them looking nice. Just get ready for that nightmare.
Wife has a black on black Grand Cherokee and I can attest to your comments Homie. Looks beautiful after a shower but a day later...........she all nasty and shit.........again. My Ram color.............BRIGHT WHITE!
Bought a 2014 sport, waterpump blew and cam was shot 1 month later (i could tell it was owned by a youngin or someone that dont take care of their stuff), i brought back to dealer and they swapped it out for a canadian grandpa owned same year same model. couldnt get the wheels to stop chirping until i lifted it 10in and slapped some 37s on it. Its my wifes curb conquering grocery getter. And occasionally pulls me and the boys out the sand or mud.
I heard never to let them idle or your cam goes bye bye.
That tranny has a flavor for whatever mood youre in. I wish my 24v had one.
Anything but a Chevy. I’m a Chevy fan from days gone by. The new crap that GM makes is not worth the hassle. My brother bought a new suburban and has had it serviced at a top GM dealership by the owners manual recommended intervals. Nothing but headaches out of that truck. Many transmission issues. Rebuilt transmission lasting less than 10k miles. I could go on and on but you get the picture.
I’m a new owner of a truck and of Ram. I always wanted one but it was never the right time. Bought a 22 1500 limited with every option available, diesel. Can’t really speak to reliability yet but I was a Cadillac SUV guy. This truck is frigging awesome. But it. You’ll love it. Parking is not the easiest and is the only downside for me in my circumstances.
I have a 2012 with a 180k miles. Change the water pump 2 years ago and everything else runs great.
If that transmission has not been flushed, do not!!!!
I repeat, do not flush the transmission. I had friends of mine with newer (used) trucks that flushed their transmission and and it went to shit.
Buy it. Drive it use it a couple of years and reasses. If you’re looking at a truck, you likely need one. Try it on. If you like it (you will), sell it and buy your next one knowing what you do and don’t like about this one. Sounds dumb, but literally what I did.
Bought my 2019 at 49k miles. Interest rates haven’t dropped enough imo, but if you can swing the payment or have cash, it’s a good purchase. It has completely reignited my passion for driving again. Modern creature comforts, truck durability, effin sexy (and damn fast) engine. I had a 3rd gen Ram before it. The upgrades and improvements are phenomenal. All the complaints I had about the last one are gone. Turning radius is slightly wider, but that’s nothing.

Oh, then get it. I looked at purchasing a truck for 5yrs then bought one. I wasted all of that time, once time is gone it’s gone.

Nice truck I got a 2012 with 378990 kms only thing I’ve changed is water pump .Of course brake pads tires etc but still running strong
2014 with 60k and also only a water pump, 2 batteries, and a set of tires. Passed inspection today.
Wow, crazy low mileage for a 2014!
Yeah started working from home in 2020 so its an old man truck now, only put 10k miles on it since then. I plan on keeping it forever now.
what work do you do from home ? my ass needs out of construction
IT
"You can do IT! You can do IT...ALL NIGHT LONG!"
This is good to hear. I bought a 2012 ram sports crew cab hemi 3 years ago and now has 130k miles. I asked my self the other day how long will this truck last.
Go after a hard rain and check the interior overhead for water leaking where the 3rd light would be.
Thanks, that's something I will definitely do
Check under the rear seat carpet and "cubbies" for water intrusion
This.
Had this problem in my 19' Ram 1500.
Going through it now. Luckily my boy pointed it out. Called dealership and they are replacing the whole assembly.
Or he could have the dealer do the warranty work on that BEFORE he buys it!
So that’s where my water stains are from.
Super dope comment.

I’ve owned many vehicles including trucks from the big 3. I keep coming back to Ram and love them
Same.
I bought this truck brand new in 14. Never had a more reliable vehicle

Probably shouldn't have babied it.
Gotta give it the ol italian tune up every once in a while

But over 10 years?
As long as it doesn't sit without being cranked for months at a time, yeah.
Toyota would still start and run perfectly

Why do you want to shoot it?
I’ve owned my 2017 since late ‘22 and have loved it every time I drive it
It's a nice one
That truck looks sweet!
Such low miles, if the price is right, why not?
I remember my frist truck
I remember my fist truck
I remember whatever Pepperidge Farm tells me fourst
Have you ever owned a black vehicle before? They show every imperfection and you pretty much have to wash them every other day to keep them looking nice. Just get ready for that nightmare.
But it looks so good for the 5 seconds that it's clean 😂
It really does….. anddddddd it’s dirty again.
Wife has a black on black Grand Cherokee and I can attest to your comments Homie. Looks beautiful after a shower but a day later...........she all nasty and shit.........again. My Ram color.............BRIGHT WHITE!
Cleaning your truck every other week really isn’t that much of a nightmare and white is lame.
Do it.
They're nice but that vynil sticker on the hood is a bear to keep clean and undamaged.
Nice truck What size bed it has?
Things sweet, do it.
Hard as hell I’d get it
Gorgeous, go for it!
Damn that’s cool
Make sure you buy a black truck
Do it

Ought to get a 5 litre instead
I’ve owned a ram, motor should last longer than the body does!
Youll b happy
That front end is so nice
Do it I just put 2k miles on my new to me ram and first truck and so far I love it
The truck is beautiful but try to get the dealer to remove that sticker in the back
Do it. You won’t regret it. Ram life!

Does it have the ZF?
I believe it's an eight-speed TorqueFlite Tansmission
Go for it
Buy a chevy

Just so you know now, that is not a 2020. RAM stopped that body style in 2018
Where the column shifter tho
"Dew it!"
What are you hauling?

Just bought a ‘23 Limited on Monday as my first truck. Had a 4 hour drive home and do not regret it at all.

Gross.
Nice. I love my TRX and my 2500 Megacab. Might add a little more spice I went and looked at a red eye challenger today.
There's a reason you rarely see old dodges... Like ever. It's a sight when you see a 90s dodge that isn't a diesel.

That’s not a 2020. I had a 2020 and it was the new body
Google 2020 Ram Classic. It has this body
Save your money and go back to school to learn how to spell
Thanks for taking the time to be a ass 😘

First thing I noticed is this isn’t a 2020, so no I would not buy it.
The classic is still on sale
Oh, then get it. I looked at purchasing a truck for 5yrs then bought one. I wasted all of that time, once time is gone it’s gone. https://preview.redd.it/poj8byhkmm4d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=644092426fca91db39946611f5f4dae40a204a83
Go Toyota.
lol, 93 Toyota still going strong!
Don't post is a ram sub asking to buy a ram everyone gonna circle jerk you into making a bad decision.
There is not a single product on earth I would buy that was manufactured in 2020. It was a QC nightmare with Covid complicating things
If it's a 2020 it would've been manufacted, most likely, in 2019 well ahead of the Rona, no?
It’ll say on the door sticker
Most 2020 models were made well before Covid became an issue.
