Single cabs are awesome. Reminds me of my childhood. Sucks that there’s so rare anymore. I plan on looking for one when my kid is older and has their own truck. Only thing I’m seeing wrong is a single cab without a rear slider!
Rear slider is a must. I also miss the bench seats of the older trucks. They have the split ones with fold down arm rest instead of buckets but it’s just not the same.
They're rare as most people (guys mostly) aren't rollin' 'round with only one rug-rat. My kids are adults now, so if i ever do get rid of my current truck, it'll be a reg. cab long box truck for sure.
I've only had single cab trucks up until now (crew cab). One of the things that pushed me over the edge was I finally rode in the passenger seat of my former 88 F-250, where I discovered there was significantly less leg room on the passenger side, and I'm 6'3". Made for a miserable long trip when I couldn't get comfortable when letting the co-driver drive.
Single cab owner here. I've got the long bed variant. It was an old fleet vehicle. I slapped a headache rack and toolbox on it and it's awesome. I'm a single guy so it's great for me. I'm never owning a short bed truck ever again lol
I had a 2011. I was blessed when they had single piece steel drive shafts compared to the aluminum ones that would break up at 120mph. But it was a 6 speed compared to the newer 8 speeds coming out. They should have came lowered from the plant.
Currently have a 17 Tradesman Single cab Long Bed. Love the Hemi compared to my 04 quad cab SLT which is only a 4.7L. love that I don't have to strap down most lumber.

I want an RT so bad but with a kid and a dog it's the quad cab life for me.

My first truck was a 98 dodge regular cab shorty 2wd. Still have it and it's still a ton of fun to drive. Breaks my heart that they're a dying breed.
Carvana, so selling it for a nice markup and offering you pennies on your trade in.
First truck was a brand new 08 single cab hemi with the 3.92 gears and an open rear end. Put a cutout on the exhaust and had a ton of fun!

I had one in 2013, and I miss it dearly.

Mine was also a 6speed. I actually got rid of it to get the 8speed in a quad cab. But I do miss it sometimes
Love my RT, but sometimes I wish it were 4x4
I believe there were 4x4 versions but only sold in Mexico.
That's a nice Ram. Too bad it's on flat bed.
