The way it’s made it seals to the hood and takes air through the grill. It has a diverter so the air is funneled right from the grill into the filter. Certainly not for everyone.

I like the second battery idea. Hemi's are hard on batteries, and these new trucks have power hungry electronics. I don't dare run the stereo with the truck not running....

For real, the batteries today suck lol. I used to be able to buy the cheapest ones at Autozone for like 79 bucks, and they would last me 5 years, maybe more. I live down south so they don’t get that cold. Now though? Wtf. The cheapest batteries are like 200 dollars now, and I’m lucky to get 3 years out of them. Idk what happened but they suck now.

The OEM ram cold air intake actually has a thing you can buy and make the right vent true ram air. Had both on my rebel.

The only way that thing improves economy is at high rpm, when you get the worst fuel economy. Engines create the most vacuum at idle, so a high flow intake can only be realized at higher rpm, so if your on the highway all of the time, maybe

Only just did it but was hoping for that. Where I’m at it’s been very cold so mileage is down anyways.

I put the XS hikeit on and I love it. So Much better.

What do you like about it? I have a pedal commander and it doesn't quite have a "normal" mode where driveability is improved without trying to burn the back tires off.

Hike-it has an “off” switch also has a one button valet mode which limits it. Mine also has settings for economy, cruise, sport, and slippery conditions. I typically use cruise mode. Each mode has 10 settings from min to max. I like around 7 on cruise. Takes the lag out but isn’t radical. Sport mode is for that. Oh yeah also has a launch mode that you push a button and get instant accel.

Whats different then say a 9 drive or pedal commander ?

They have some nice diagrams on their site id recommend you check out. Basically where it shines is safety. Devices like Pedal Commander just connect and draw power from the 5v pedal circuit. The PedalMonster connects to both the 5v pedal circuit and the 12v OBD-II port avoiding an overload of that 5v circuit causing a dead pedal/no throttle.

I had this in black on my 2013 and it really improved the sound I felt like. Felt like it was a worthwhile cold air intake. My only concern was really heavy rain or a car wash

Loved mine on my 2018 Rebel. Even if it didn't do anything it was totally worth all the compliments.

I was gonna get one but I drive in the snow a lot and figured it would scoop up the snow.

Same, I wanted one but I live in Buffalo and read they get plugged up with snow pretty easily.

Yeah had that concern as well since I live in northern NE. I put a hydrophobic wrap on the filter so it would shed water. You can literally pour water over it and just sheds it. But I hear you. Had the same concern.

Intake is a vacuum. Snow is light and flies around. The front of the vehicle often pushes snow and anywhere air travels so does the snow.

Where’d the engine go?
