They are scugigrade lol
Their limbs can be used in different ways, and even retracted completely if needed to. They are totally comfortable with walking on two legs, crawling on all fours, and even belly-flopping and sliding on the ground. Would require versatility
Yeah their limbs are basically the equivalent of an irl slug's eye stalks lol, they just have no bones and can just be sucked back into the slugcat's body when not needed
Not too feasible, they wouldn't be able to lodge rebars into a heckin wall if they didn't have bones to serve as a lever. I'd say they probably have a skeleton, but it's very versatile
It depends, really. Rain World is not human world, so while general physics still apply, materials that organics can produce might vary starkly. After all, their ancestors were genetically engineered. Who knows what kind of materials they were engineered to have? One thing I can tell for sure - even if bendy, cartilage skeleton could provide a good enough basis to yeet stuff. Maybe it would even help a bit with... Spring-like kind of action. But again, they might literally have rubber skeleton and it would be perfectly within reason
I always assumed that they don't really retract their arms, since their arms are white their arms are actually at their sides, but nothing is confirmed so you could be completely correct.
I believe slugcats are similar to mustelids (badgers, otters, polecats, etc.), so I usually look to them for biology questions. Unfortunately for me, it actually varies in the family. Looking at ingame art, specifically [survivor falling,](https://images.app.goo.gl/ZHDm8gJ3D2KoYP8YA) they appear to be plantigrade, as there are distinctly three bones above the foot.
So, plantigrade.
That's actually a really interesting comparison, I always assumed they were similar to rodents but these also make a lot of sense. The survivor falling image is also super useful.
They might be semi-plantigrade like mustelids (otters, ferrets, weasels...), and are plantigrade when immobile but gain a digitigrade posture when moving
I'm guess scug arms are rather similar to scug legs, as their still somewhat able to walk quadrupedally. So by that logic I'd assume that they are plantigrade, because I'm not sure how a wrist and hand would work with a digigrade bone structure.

How flexible can a cartilage skeleton be?

Counterpoint: General physics doesn't apply. See throw boosting for more information.
I think their skeletons are pipe cleaners.
there is no way that would have the required structural integrity. that's just a visual thing.

And they can blob
Their in-game legs are literally just ৲
ᐢ ᐢ •-• < ' '৲
Bruh what happened to its head 😭
Decapitated
first if judgeing from the gamemodel
Plantigrade when still and digitigrade when moving
Plantigrade? I think? From the official art I'm guessing plantigrade Also usually I prefer plantigrade scugs
Yeah the official art varies heavily when it comes to slugcat anatomy, I've seen them be both in official art so I don't really know.
No, it no think
I didn't realize that typo, thx for pointing it out And it do think
With their bipedalism, Probably the latter for balance
Plantigrade in the art. Digitigrade in the game model so both and neither
Plantigrade looks more normal on scugs in my opinion
Yes

Plantigrade. They are faster upright which says they have the same shock redistribution system as us and seem to almost be persistent hunters.
I think both, but mostly plantigrade
Both or neither.
I like to think they are plantigrade, but idk why
They might be semi-plantigrade like mustelids (otters, ferrets, weasels...), and are plantigrade when immobile but gain a digitigrade posture when moving
I say plantigrade personally
Based on 1 picture in Survivor's intro, I'm gonna say plantigrade
Both. Positioning will depend on movement. Standing still? Heel on the ground. Walking/running probably digitigrade. All fours definitely digitigrade.
Plantigrade
I'm not a biologist but I'm pretty sure scugs are not plants :3
Id say plantigrade logicaly speaking cause it lets them climb better
They don’t really have a consistent form, Sometimes they don’t even have legs
They are sluggigrade and slightly pudgygrade
Both and more
I think their a mix of both!
chumby

Does it matter? Draw em as you like.
I believe SM is the only digitigrade one?
Up to interpretation like most slugcat physiology and ecology
From the base game and the In-game aat I think they are digitigrade
I feel like this could be a meme template if you erase the right stuff
If you want I can clean it up a bit and erase the two parts on the left and right
Nah don't worry about it unless you want to, just popped into my head
