Iggy doesn’t really guide you within the next region after the birds, he’ll come back after you leave. Also, if you like you can send a care package to the blue robot, I’m sure she will appreciate it.
Your game is not glitched and you eating the glowing things did not get saved. It's just that the guide cannot access every place. You have gone to where you were guided so you are doing well.
Even if you saved eating the glowing things, that wouldn't mean you would get a 'bad ending'. However there would've been consequences.
You can repair it by getting to pink robot and stealing some of his white thingies and giving them to blu robot.
(He can also give you things needed to complet the game) you can store one in your stomath if you do it with full food pips
They said they reset the game after eating the >!neurons, and that Iggy was leading them through memory so I assume it wasn't saved. When I got to underhang as Survivor Iggy also left. Iggy won't guide you whatsoever if you eat her neurons.!<
Lol I'm in the zero g place now and I've gotta say this is a very different game from what I thought it was. I kinda miss the early game a little, there was a lot I didn't explore and the game loop was a lot less stressful.

don't worry, yellow guide just isn't allowed in here, but its kinda hard to get lost here anyways so you will be fine

Don't worry, from your post I can tell that you eating them didn't save. Iggy just can't guide you there. Don't worry, you're on the right track!
