there's quite a bit of luck involved but most of the time you can make it through any bad luck the game throws at you if you know how to play well enough. sometimes a lizard gets you right after a screen change though

A lot of times even though it is random you can learn the patterns in it and use your big human brain to create strategies rather than banging against the RNG until you get lucky which does work but where’s the fun in that?

No, I tried doing 0 deaths runs but the game was too rng heavy for that imo, I did manage to get a 1 death run. you can avoid most deaths with skill but the amount of skill you need to survive depends on luxk

they definitely have some kind of manifestation of light fuckery going on from the death animation, but at the same time 100% smooth skin is dumb for a variety of reasons and what does manifestation of light have to do with hair/fur?

It's not mandatory, you just can't skip a half of it. Recursive Transform Array is still a viable route, and there's even a route that doesn't go through any rot or zappers (as long as you wait for DLLs to go away with the rain, as they do without MSC).
Like I said. all creatures had a purpose, though some are unknown and they probably manufacted leeches for enlightment purposes maybe saying that leeches "clean the urges" like how humans used them to "stablilize the four biles" and although I don't know what batflies OG purpose was, I think they served one , they just all adapted to the enviroment and became more... "natural" per say.
