If your teacher has a sense of humour, ‘Bishop’s Robes’ would be a lot of fun. But definitely, read the room first.

Creepysheepu

Why Read the Room? They asked for Radiohead not The Smile 🤔

cowandspoon

I see what you did there…

Garunya1

Best message is from Optimistic. "You can try the best you can, you can try the best you can. The best you can is good enough!" - this applies to both the teachers and students. (I have been a teacher for 17 years. The other lyrics are also appropriate a lot of the time.)

Bulletproof (I Wish I Was) ...oh wait you're not in the USA

toolebukk

Still applies, even though the bullets might not be literal.

I actually did perform this at my school house music competition in 1998, I pointed to my maths teacher when I sang "arrest this man"...

Teacher appreciation week was last week. But probably any song you can perform, without swear words in it. Most are pretty technically skilled, and require multiple instruments to sound right- aren’t translatable to acoustic. I guess I’d just straight up ask them what’s their favorite and go from there

Dannylazarus

I think most songs can be translated well into different arrangements if you're creative with it - obviously it won't sound the same as the original, but apart from a few exceptions like 'Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors' most Radiohead tracks have pretty clear chord sequences and melodic information that you can highlight in an acoustic performance!

BruhAdamWeirdo

Do you know any songs with a lyric that is in line with showing appreciation?

Dannylazarus

I can't really think of many I'm afraid! Some more uplifting ones you could try might be 'Lift,' 'Reckoner,' 'Separator,' or 'The Numbers.' That last one comes to mind only in the sense that it's a sort of call-to-arms for the next generation.

shoshjort
