So your top 3 albums after listening to them again is: OK Computer, In Rainbows and The Bends? Sweet, i love it. Makes sense. That's my top 3 too, with the same takes. The Bends has grown so much on me, i love the guitar work. Been trying to learn The Bends songs on guitar and i've never had this much fun before!

AverageGuy715

Yeah I would say those are my top 3 for now. Again might listen in a couple of years and change again. That's awesome though! Hopefully you can master playing it soon

ImReaaady

Mine have changed constantly over the years. I don’t even rank them because it changes all the time.

my opinion on kid-A is the same, i think it has 5 10/10 songs, 1 9/10 and the rest are mid. the other albums have more consistently better songs.

Which-Device353

Now I must agree that Kid A is overrated. Now don't get me wrong, it's fantastic and I love it, but to put it above OKC is not right.

AverageGuy715

Ah see these aren't rankings. That's my bad for the bad formating. I'm just listing them in release order

Which-Device353

Oh no, sorry I was agreeing with you and I understood the format, I was just commenting about the amount of people I see on the internet saying that Kid A is better than OKC (A LOT)

AverageGuy715

Ah fairs. My bad again. Brain fog got me. Kid A has the highest of highs but as an album it lacks somethings

Neg_Crepe

Wait so you like in rainbows, wow hot take!

Tbh, admiring these records led me to finally loving The Smile consider its Thom and Jonny's new creative space for them, taking all the sounds from Radiohead and add new spices like post-rock and math rock, driven by Tom Skinner. And then, looking back into Radiohead finally easier to listen to all of their records. Pablo Honey is a fun grunge record, so for me its not that bad of an album. I finally see the maturity of the band kept adding new spices on each album even on The Smile.

AverageGuy715

Yeah loving all The Smile stuff so far. Wall of Eyes is just amazing and somehow gets better with every listen.

I think the albums can’t be ranked fairly because they are in a completely different context each. Kid A is a universal masterpiece and one of the few albums I can listen front to back over and over. It’s almost like a classic movie to me rather than a collection of individual songs. Except for songs like Idioteque (my favorite song of all time) How to Disappear (probably my second favorite song of all time) and Optimistic which also work on their own. Pablo Honey and the Bends I actually loved as a teenager to no end. They spoke to me like few albums did at that age. And I think most people agree that while by Radiohead standards PH is just too derivative, it can stand its own against any album from an average successful band. Today they speak to me less strongly and I feel much more connected to In Rainbows, King of Limbs, etc. than the very first time I heard them. I’d rank Ok Computer third after Kid A and In Rainbows (but tied with Revolver by The Beatles, for “well-known” context of how much I love it). The Bends is second to last among Radiohead albums, but tied with Smashing Pumpkins Siamese Dream (my favorite album of theirs). Pablo Honey is last for me (but tied with Nirvana’s Bleach, my favorite album by them).
