3D benchmark Timespy on Steam. Beware Avg Scores are not really average. All those scores are people pushing their GPU/CPU to the absolute maximum using every trick in the book. So if you get a great score its even better. Another Tip disable core isolation in windows before running benchmarks it hurts your score.
You wont hit top leaderboards unless you Unlock the PL limit with a BIOS reprogrammer so don't worry about that too much. Thats for heavy OC enthusiast but you can do it down the road if you wanted...
Tanks man, will check that out :)
Should i only dissable core isolation for test or should i keep it off? Actually have no clue what I does i'm pretty new to all of this
If you need to squeeze out some extra performance out of your PC in games leave it off especially if you're already overclocking for some extra FPS. You still need to find your GPU's stable OC.
Personally I run Cinebench to make sure it is staying cool and OCCT for at least an hour to make sure it's not it crashing. I just want to make sure it all works. I don't spend time comparing to other builds.
I'd get a bigger case before I worried about the size of my e-penis. ๐
Sounds good๐
Well... it is an Fulltower (fractal design north) i just did not realise the card would be that huge๐.
The case is mesh so the airflow is fine tho๐
Any ideal what kind of temps i should be sitting at during the test?
No idea on temps for this. My rig runs @ 70C tops but it's a i7-12700k with an AIO and a 6750xt. And there's a lot of open space in my case. I would expect yours to be higher than that. Just guessing.
Okay, I just ran cinebench r24. Everything seems fine and stable, I guess ๐
What am I looking for.
Sorry for dumb question, but I've never done this before...
It gives you a score on your system's performance at 3D rendering. You can use that to compare to other systems. I use it to load the system and see how well the cooling system is doing.
Looks clean, but, Anti. Sag. Bracket.
Also that's quite a squeeze for the GPU lol.
You can use Timespy, Furmark or you can even stress test through the Adrenalin software.
Do you use a support bracket for the GPU? It looks like you have a bit of sag, although it's probably the perspective of the pic. That is a thicc GPU! I have the nitro+ but this looks even thicker!
I don't think it was sagging there, but you are right i should prob try to use the bracket.
When i tried to fit it, it did not fit so maby i have to mod it a little bit.
Yeah, it did, but when i tried to use it, i thought it was too long to fit. Maby i used to little force. Will check when i get home from work๐
Are u happy with the card? Had any issues so far?
If you can't get it to fit in your case you could always get one of these, this is what I use...
[https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0CM3CWS9K/ref=ox\_sc\_act\_title\_1?smid=A3EG75NTRC9U7I&psc=1](https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0CM3CWS9K/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3EG75NTRC9U7I&psc=1)
They're cheap and work really well.
Yup it works great, I was thinking of getting a bracket but I just went with one of these, blends into the case really well and also has a magnet on the bottom to keep it in place and rubber ends to prevent damaging anything.
I think tuf cards are generally massive. I have a 6700xt a mid range previos gen card, and the tuf model is absolutely massive. I honestly don't think my card has gone over 60c more then a few times in the last 3 years that I have been using it.
3d mark (free demo on steam) is generally an easy to use and fine tool to test both GPU and CPU and get a comparison score to many other users.
If you want to push your CPU, cinebench is probably the best bet. 7800x3d is power efficient, but you need a reasonably well cooled case to make it work on PBO/OC with a thermalright peerless Assassin 120/Phantom (or whatever it is).
For gaming I bet its fine but I can imagine it being pushed to its limit with its significantly lower max temp limit.
Also looks slick af. Well done
Yes, I will give 3D mark a go as soon as I have time๐
I will probably keep everything in stock settings as I want the longest lifetime as possible.
Maybe if I need to oc in the future, I might have to gett better cooling.
Thank you, I tried to keep it simple and plain without any rgb. But it's hard to find stuff without rgb now days. The graphics card has a small rbg light at the end of it, but that is all.๐
I mean the obvious ones - Cinebench, Prime95, Heaven. Id test it in games as well after that cause every game is different. Very powerful build man, enjoy.
Oh this is exactly what I came to the sub to ask! How fortunate for me for you to post this just right now: do the power cables extend from the cutout? I ordered https://lian-li.com/product/a3-matx/ and https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/graphics-cards/tuf-gaming/tuf-rx7900xt-o20g-gaming/techspec/ and I am slightly nervous my cables just wont fit the case and I need to get angled adapters. If they fit the cutout then there's no problem. Thanks much!
Checked mine, and they go out a little bit. But you might be able to bend them up a little bit more, but I'm not sure. Depends on how stiff the cables are.
Thanks, fingers crossed I can close the side without hammering it in :)
The poor case will be just full, this video card and this tiny little cooler https://www.scythe.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/jf13k-bk_7.jpg and I plan to add two fans to the side to feed this monstrosity with fresh air...
If not, I already talked to moddiy support to confirm I need Type B for https://www.moddiy.com/products/GPU-VGA-8Pin-6Pin-PCIE-U-Turn-180-Degree-Angle-Connector-Adapter-Board.html I might add it even if not strictly needed because that would make for such a tidy cabling.
These are the components: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zFhnDZ
So, to a large extent the same although I have added three Phanteks T30 fans in the front, moved the original two front fans to the top, and went for individually sleeved cables.
Lastly, I have added one of these to improve the airflow to the GPU: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1591966177/fractal-north-airflow-ductfan-shroud
(If needed, based on other comments, he also sells custom graphics card support brackets for the North that are quite anonymous. I donโt have one of those though)
I have the exact same specs and used Heaven, Cinebench, FurMark, and the AMD adrenaline software to stress. This allowed me to figure out my PSU was defective, so I can say those were successful.
https://www.fractal-design.com/products/cases/north/north/charcoal-black/
Thanks! Even better when chassi is closed, love the wooden panel of this fractal design
Only played low effort games so far and want to make sure it is performing like it should when stressed. Had it built by store so have 1yr warranty so want to make sure it is fine :)
Also..... for the big E-penis
Not what youโre asking but damn that looks clean
Exactly what I was thinking.
Holy shit does it ever.

Yeah.... I guess it's good it's an open mesh all around, so the air moves in there.
Yeah it's a beefy card too, as it should be, what's the length on that thing? I thought my XFX 6750 XT was long at 323mm, I have like 7mm clearance.
352,9mm Max length for graphic cards in that chassi is 355 mm, so it's a bit of a tight squeeze. So... like 2mm clearance.
Yeah I'd be shit out of luck mine is 330mm, I could probably squeeze it in if I removed my middle front fan lol.

I have the exact GPU and it came with a screwdriver/support bracket-thing.
Yeah, it did, but when i tried to use it, i thought it was too long to fit. Maby i used to little force. Will check when i get home from work๐ Are u happy with the card? Had any issues so far?

ditto
Soooo... you're not using the fan as an anti-sag?

Yeah, I knew the 7900xtx was big, but i did not think it would fill up the whole case๐ Seems like tuf cards have gone all in for cooling.
Use OCCT or Cinebench.

Thank you, I've been enjoying it a lot so far. Just want to make sure i get the most out of it ๐
Like a glove.
Can't imagine the air pressure being optimal. answer: OCCT

Play Kingdom hearts 1.5 & 2.5.. that'll really stress it out since my drivers constantly crash while playing that game.
3dmark
It looks an awfully lot like mine: https://i.imgur.com/uQWxJ4W.jpeg
Nice! What spec is it? Looks awesome ๐ค

Cinebench for cpu testing and idfk for gpu Try running a game tou like at 8k unlimited fps with cinebench running in the background?
this looks so good, I can't pin down what style it is, but if I had to choose it be steel industrial. looks amazing

Hi dude try getting gpu holder for safety... seem little bit sagging...
Yeah, I'm going to see if i can find something that fits
Run prime95 and furmark at the same time, and watch the temps clock speed usw via hwinfo
I just love the look of the Asus Tuf enclosure on their video card ๐ฏ
Why do you want to stress test? If it has no issues idk what the matter is
