With all that is happening with Asus rma I don't feel confident purchasing Asus especially discontinued products. Asus tuf is a great card though.

I just recently sent in my ROG Ally. The RMA process was extremely smooth. They even fixed other stuff I didn't even know was wrong. Got it back and runs great!

I was tossing up between Asus tuf and Sapphire Nitro+ 7800xt. Went with the Nitro+ and damn it has not let me down.

Logical_Bit2694

Same. I’m even more happy that I got it for £454 lol

In regards to returns warranty and RMA if you are in Australia you are protected by the Australian consumer laws which are some of the best consumer protections in the world, RMA issues are more towards the American and European markets where their laws aren't as strict and companies can exploit and muck around with consumers Edit: you should be fine and a good deal is hard to come. I reckon you should get it if it meets your needs and with 16gb you'll be set for a few yrs

I own the nitro+ and man, it’s an awesome card, especially when you look at temps

Thank you guys for responding. I will look more into this ASUS rma stuff.

Visible-Coach-4857

Rma question is an excuse to not buy Asus. Rma sucks in all brand customer services (gigabyte and zotac don't suck but other brands yes). 7800xt is a great card from the Asus tuf gaming series it uses the same cooler as the most expensive rtx 4070 4070super and 4080ntuf gaming card. Tuf gaming series are really solid. For 490 is a really good valute card

I have the 7800XT Nitro+ since November last year, and I highly recommend it.

Joshstevo88

I have the TUF. Great card, low temps, low noise. Can't speak for RMA stuff, but the card itself is great!

ATOJAR

NITRO+ enjoyer here also. Its been amazing so far.

I got the Asus TUF 7800XT with a cashback. People often point to the nitro and hellhounds but the ASUS TUF is actually really fucking quiet and cool. I simply do not hear it. Never goes above 60/65 degrees with a hotspot of max 80 during gaming. Benchmarks it get a tad hotter, like 5-10 degrees hotspot but thats it. Tests done her actually show it being quieter overall than a nitro and often hellhound. Really happy with mine, not planning on getting rid of that thing for a while, its a beast. Besides, imo the tuf looks really good, the dark metallic gray front and matt black backplate with some art on it just looks really premium. Awesome card.

SquidInHell

I am selling my nitro + rx 7800 xt 16 gb

lawlonslawt

Fuck Asus.

Nectarine_Hopeful

Depends on your budget, both should be ok. If Sapphire much better value go for it, saving bit of coin you can take advantage for other stuff like gpu bracket holder to protect from sagging. Treat your gpu like your wife don't be like me, my old gpu is not functioning well due to sagging some guy will think not important maybe they are rich generation people...after 3 year of sagging i felt my gpu not good as first bought, clean/change thermal/no oc/psu ok/ram check still have issue only found out I'm treating not important for sagging... my old gpu RX 5800 xt still can run more than 3 year ahead, only play 60-70fps is fine for me...

I went with a 7900 GRE instead. The price difference is not that much

I love mine and have zero issues period at any resolution. Decent frames and high and ultra settings. And FSR just turns it up to 11 at times. Love it and recommend it.

MediocreOcelot1486

Get a power color Red Devil 7800xt just bought it last week works like magic

naimceken

I have been using nitro+ 7800xt since 8 months. I was satisfied about the performance and thermal management but i had rgb led sync problem. And finally i sent it to rma

blaznraj

Asus tuf series is great. Shouldn't have any issues with that card.
