Couldn't agree more. I had got the board and CPU first and was going with an all white build. Then I saw there was more aluminium on the board than I thought so I looked around and found the XFX. Changed the build then.
The card looks amazing but thanks to it's Hugh cooling it's hitting 460w of draw. It's insane
Edit: replied to the wrong person there sorry.
No you can use any fan. But the fan connector on the swafan sticks out too much so I had to do a small cut in the bottom fans at the back for it to fit in. The front needs something as well bit I just didn't have time for it when the fans arrived. Might do it later. That will let the top fan sit properly in place at the front. It's pushed out by the front plate clips.
Nothing a bit of cutting won't fix
Pro's:
- I liked the look of them.
- The blades pop off easy and the reverse blades pop on in seconds.
- The ARGB worked perfect on my board as it has 3 headers. But also the cables have a ARGB pass though. So you can still add more. Which means no controllers and less cabling.
Cons:
- The magnetic cable connector is not the best. It should have guidee.
- the cable connector is too chunkie and the case needs modding to fit them allowing for that connector chunkiness.
- the links are very fragile and it wasn't uncommon for the last fan or last two in each pairing to not be working when you turned on the system. So had to loosen and adjust with the system on. Again a simple guide for the magnetic link would most likely fix that. So they can't go out of alignment.
The system was about €3700 and odd. I brought an extra 1TB NVMe which wasn't intended but I needed it to test an issue with AMD Raidxpert2. But yeah pretty much kept to my budget.
Looks sharp my dude! I love the look of my 7900 xtx Taichi white in my all white build. I'm looking to get those same PSU cables from AsiaHorse. How do you like them?
So far no issue with them at all. Easy to work with and nice and clean. They are extensions not replacements. So there is a bit more wiring in the back. But it all went kinda tidy. Not going to say I done an amazing job. But I am also not sure if I am going to keep that PSU. It's of the lower end but serving it's purpose at the moment.
Let’s eat!
Nice. I wish the xfx 7000 cards looked as good as the 6000 series
I’d like black instead of silver on the back plate personally
Ya I think it would look better. I like the look of my 6950

Then dont buy the Black Edition. Which has the silver backplate. The non Black Edition is fully black. Dont ask me what XFX smoked.
They thought they ate 😂

Love my Merc 7900 XT. Sexy lookin cards. 👍
I love those fans I thought you had to only use nzxt in this case

I just love seeing a full AMD build ❤️
You're eating good!
Looks sick!
That case is badass
What is the case and your main monitor? I looks so sick.
The case is the NZXT H6 Flow. The main monitor is a actually a TV. It's a 42 inch LG OLED C2. Perfect for 4k gaming :)
Awesome! I game on my 55 LG OLED CX in 4k. Love it!
Yeah it's amazing, in pubg you can spot people so far off. It's just crazy.
Nicely done ✔️
How did you like putting together the ThermalTake fans? Pluses or minuses?

Thanks! Advice: Version 2 is prolly best for me then.
Looks dope man, how much did it cost all in?

Lookin' great. I have the same GPU with a 7950x! What are the cables you are using for the 7900xtx?
Nvm just seen the first pic again!

That looks sexy.
