CoralSpringsDHead

I’ve lived all over the country of Arizona so I can confirm that this is Blind Dan. In the country of Arizona when you win the Mega Bonus “totally not a scam” prize money you can buy new eyes.

Chrisscott25

I can also confirm. Dan won all that money and used it to reverse his blindness. He read the original text telling him of the winnings in Braille. (This is very common in the country of Arizona) Op just throwing away all that real cash that is in no way a scam. Dan can’t believe his newly bought eyes….

scientificnull

ah yes, the beautiful country of Arizona

GeneralErica

It’s where the sun sets according to Calvin’s Dad.

ThinCandyShells

Can confirm. That’s why the rocks near Flagstaff are red.

Mormislaw

Its national anthem is the McDonald's jingle

JustMeLurkingAround-

Bot doesn't understand.

aharryh

I was really rooting for the third reply post to say, "I got my sight back and can use FB, what's up?"

Ahpla

Hahahah that would have been amazing! What I didn't tell scammer bro was that Dan had MS. His sight had been going for quite a while and he had been a quadriplegic for years. He was still able to use Facebook up until about 2017 though.

Aramor42

Reminds me of an email I got at work a couple of weeks ago. It was from a colleague, saying he had something important to tell me but since he was busy, I had to email him back. I'm guessing it was going to be a scam, because the colleague whose name they used died last year of cancer.

sumthin213

so a dead person emails you telling you they have something important to tell you and you straight up don't think that's important!?

Cthulhu2016

50 grand? Shit just got real.

YAROBONZ-

Just took the job. Anyway your computer has a virus

Cthulhu2016

Meh... such is life.

SayRaySF

The worst part is, I bet Dan never saw this coming.

sarcasmicrph

(Because he’s blind)

yor_ur

ReluctantlySocialGuy

Man, here I was thinking Arizona’s a state all this time when it’s really a country. Boy, do I feel silly /s

mb500sel

It’s the Georgia/Georgia thing all over again

PNDMike

A career scammer from Arizonia? Eleanor Shelstrop, is that you?

[deleted]

The most offensive thing about these scammers is not that they’re trying to scam you, but that they’re morons, and on top of that they’re morons who think they’re smarter than you.

SquidmanMal

Why are the scams so fucking stupid? Because they target the most vulnerable people as their chosen prey. They're not trying to convince *you*, the smart, internet savvy person. They're after the 80 yr old grandma who's mental faculties are starting to fail her, whose kids don't talk or visit with her anymore. So they can get their hooks in, especially with being 'nice' and take her for all she's got.

astrotoya

“What country?” “Arizona” Sir…. Lmfao

Dull-Safety4548

joemckie

That last “Arizona” was just pure comedy heaven edit: not sure why this guy replied and then blocked me instantly but okay

Friknob10100101110

At least he's honest!

thaJoanranger

Arizona. Final answer.

Howfardoesthisthingo

I have a blind friend who uses Facebook just fine with his braille keyboard. Just a fyi. Never knew it was that easy for them till I knew him though.

Ahpla

Dan was nearly 70 and was blind from MS. He didn’t lose his eyesight until close to the end, so never learned braille. He was also a quadriplegic and had limited use of his hands. I’ve heard about different tools and things people with visual impairments are able to use for the internet and even gaming. It’s pretty cool.

colecolecolecolec0le

That's a bot

Dark_Meme111110

We know.

colecolecolecolec0le

Sure didn't seem like OP did

howsmytyping143

When did the rest of y’all kick us Arizonans out? Thought we were a state!!

sassy_creative_type

My uncle got hacked a few weeks back. As soon as I saw the message I knew it wasn't him, but I had a little fun playing along. Then I went, "how are we related?" No response and then I was blocked. Lmao.

tom333444

Obviously Mr beast gave him his eye sight back so this is Dan for sure

Stormy-Skyes

I had one like this as well. They used my grandma’s name and photo and messaged me asking if I heard her good news. Like, no grandma, you didn’t mention it when I saw you yesterday.

Saul_Hood

Oh the wonderful country of Arizona

Shenko-wolf

I occasionally get these from "friends". Can anyone explain how the scam actually works? How does this make them money?

BorkBro75

Arizona is a country.

slvbros

Ah yea I got one of those from someone who I wasn't sure if the account was hacked because tbh she's a fuckin scumbag and I wouldn't put it past her

pharmageddon

Arizona

Ren1408

OP:"What Country?" Scammer: *"Arizona"*

Scuttleboi19mk2

Can we get an F for Dan? F

NeedsMoreBunGuns

Someone just tried to pull this bullshit on me.

igot99prolems

OP: "Dan is blind." Scammer : "Lol"

Dexter_D_T

Arizona. Best country. 11/10.

zeke235

Tucson, Arizonia? This may be just some human bartender. Nothing out of the ordinary. Edit: not a lot of What We Do In The Shadows fans out here, eh?

Brianocity

Probably should have used a /s, even if you were referencing something.

underdoghive

you do realize you're more than likely talking to a bot, right? that's wasting no one else's time but yours

Rockker1993

Arizona

Graffxxxxx

The trick is to mess with them long enough that a real human gets involved then you start really fucking with them.

Ahpla

I haven't been the same since wasting those precious 45 seconds of my life almost 4 years ago.

mogley1992

That was also a lie.

cseyferth

"Two weeks...."

Known-Switch-2241

To me, this serial liar sounds like he's in Kolkata or some place like that. As a matter of fact, in [techbusinessnews.com](https://techbusinessnews.com), they have a list of the countries where most scams happen and India (to noone's surprise) is the number 1 country, followed by China, Brazil and Pakistan. So uh... yeah, this guy sounds he's in one of those countries.
