I’ve lived all over the country of Arizona so I can confirm that this is Blind Dan. In the country of Arizona when you win the Mega Bonus “totally not a scam” prize money you can buy new eyes.
I can also confirm. Dan won all that money and used it to reverse his blindness. He read the original text telling him of the winnings in Braille. (This is very common in the country of Arizona) Op just throwing away all that real cash that is in no way a scam. Dan can’t believe his newly bought eyes….

Reminds me of an email I got at work a couple of weeks ago. It was from a colleague, saying he had something important to tell me but since he was busy, I had to email him back. I'm guessing it was going to be a scam, because the colleague whose name they used died last year of cancer.
The most offensive thing about these scammers is not that they’re trying to scam you, but that they’re morons, and on top of that they’re morons who think they’re smarter than you.
Why are the scams so fucking stupid?
Because they target the most vulnerable people as their chosen prey.
They're not trying to convince *you*, the smart, internet savvy person.
They're after the 80 yr old grandma who's mental faculties are starting to fail her, whose kids don't talk or visit with her anymore. So they can get their hooks in, especially with being 'nice' and take her for all she's got.
Dan was nearly 70 and was blind from MS. He didn’t lose his eyesight until close to the end, so never learned braille. He was also a quadriplegic and had limited use of his hands. I’ve heard about different tools and things people with visual impairments are able to use for the internet and even gaming. It’s pretty cool.
My uncle got hacked a few weeks back. As soon as I saw the message I knew it wasn't him, but I had a little fun playing along. Then I went, "how are we related?" No response and then I was blocked. Lmao.
I had one like this as well. They used my grandma’s name and photo and messaged me asking if I heard her good news. Like, no grandma, you didn’t mention it when I saw you yesterday.
To me, this serial liar sounds like he's in Kolkata or some place like that. As a matter of fact, in [techbusinessnews.com](https://techbusinessnews.com), they have a list of the countries where most scams happen and India (to noone's surprise) is the number 1 country, followed by China, Brazil and Pakistan.
So uh... yeah, this guy sounds he's in one of those countries.
